The fact that it only drops down to an 8 shot kill at range is quite interesting. With how low you can get the recoil on this thing you can challenge people at range no problem.
The Siege Wire stock in particular is fucking ridiculous. It's hands down the best stock in the entire game. Even tuned for 100% ADS walking speed it still has zero recoil. If you aren't using the wire stock you are using this gun incorrectly lol.

The way I see it, this pistol is insane because its a competent smg whilst having all of the benefits of a pistol. You don't need overkill to run it, you can use it whilst hanging off ledges, the swap time is really fast, you can use it underwater, and it's got a potential 71 rnd drum. This thing is disgusting, and they haven't even released the akimbo attachment for it ☠️
They purposefully haven't put the Akimbo on it... It's been known for a little bit (Stated actually) that it wasn't going to have it. So why think they're going to 'release' it on a pistol that can basically be a short range pocket Fennec?
Thing has been doing work for me in DMZ. Shreds the NPCs and actually does very well on 3 plate players also. Might be a touch overtuned, but in DMZ in particular, it is just "very solid" I think.
no, its not good for 3 plate players. I had to use my entire 72 round drum mag just to break someone's 3 plate armor in the complex. It does indeed, shred bots and the damage is bugged against bosses it kills them in a few seconds.
@@redequinox9874 Shotguns in DMZ's complex absolutely shred as well, I reccomend either the Expedite or Brysons. DON'T take dragon's breath though, especially if you're running the Broadside! They do pitiful damage against AI targets!
Really weird thing about this gun, stocks make you put your eye much closer to the iron sights. Also, one of the barrels even changes the look of the irons. Pretty cool details, I like iron sights.

@@mscup8814 i know that. The street sweeper barrel has completely different irons, but the mouse 99 barrel makes your character hold it closer to your body. I mean, most guns DO work that way, keep in mind we don’t have a base stock with this gun, when you add a stock (also goes for the x12 & x13) then they’re actually using it. Same thing goes for when you remove a stock from a primary, you hold it further.
As always thanks for the high quality analysis of the guns in this game, but one thing I would ask is for a long range setup for each gun, since those long shots are required for camo progression on each weapon.
For those who came here looking for Hardcore ranges, it appears to be a 2-shot anywhere in the first two damage ranges, a 2-shot in the torso in the third range, and a 3-shot otherwise.
It’s got the same issue as the fennec, where it does kill relatively fast, but the amount of bullets needed makes it feel weak. It seems strange to me though that they added the Tec-9 over a more modern pistol, or even a m1911.

This is exactly why I love these videos. As soon as I unlocked it, it felt super OP up close, but when you run the numbers, it’s not really out of line. Sure, it kills fast really close, but as you stated, not out of line with even the other pistols up close. At midrange, I find the X13 way more controllable and can reliably get kills with it at 20-25m, but with this, I struggle at those ranges, even with the bigger magazine. And then compared to the one hit potential of the Desert Eagle and Basilisk or the reliability of the P890, I feel like it’s not really OP, it’s just a little more forgiving than some of the other pistols. Plus, the handling being slower and more SMG-like balances it as well. It’s a fun gun, but it won’t be replacing the X13 or P890 (for 6v6) or Desert Eagle (for Ground War and Warzone, not that I play much Warzone anymore) as my go-to sidearms.
I love the fact it feels like an SMG. My favorite class has been to run a longrange build DMR and use overkill to pair it with an SMG for closer quarters situations, this gun allowed me to drop overkill for something more helpful while still achieving the same purpose the class had before. Love it.
i’d have to disagree. Considering in the meta, currently this isn’t game breaking. Not to mention you said it best this doesn’t have a better ttk than most of the other guns in the game. One thing MW2 did right was balancing pistols. The p890 has a better ttk and range, the basilisk and .50 gs can one shot, and the basilisk has snakeshot akimbo, and the .50 gs is borderline a mini dmr. Smgs are still going to be better than the ftac, and so are every other primary weapon. I would describe this gun as a forgiving easy to use secondary for the majority of the player-base. But at the end of the day there are better and more lethal options. The ftac is just new and probably feels annoying to some people cause everyone is using it, but after the honeymoon period fades people are just going back to what they normally use
Interesting how this gun doesn't have an open bolt delay in spite of it being depicted as open bolt in the Inspect animation. Giving it an open bolt delay would be an easy way to "nerf" it.
It'd be very interesting to see the Makarov in this game too. Also would be fun to see the Glock with the 100rnd duel drum, but the drum would cancel out the duel wield. Would be some very different full auto high cap pistols. This gun also really makes me wanna see a Full Auto Famas ripping away at its actual fire rate.
This thing is like a pocket-Papushka with that 71 round drum and blistering RoF, and you can make it a cursed homeboy tommy-gun with the foregrip mods available
Its nice to have a lethal option besides akimbo pistols for secondaries for people not using overkill. Would love to see some kind of 3 round burst pistol as well.

Removing a stock dramatically increases the recoil that a gun will see, so adding a stock back on will reduce recoil to sensible levels. Any stock, recoil rear grip, and vertical muzzle brake tame this bullet hose so well you can challenge people further away than you should have a right to.
Hey Ace. Great video as always. However, i do believe that you missed the open bolt delay that this gun has. Not sure of the exact numbers but it does feel long enough to throw the gun off a bit at close range
I tried testing for this but wasn't able to measure any delay at 120FPS. It is a bit tricky to detect perfectly with hand testing though so it's possible there is a small delay.
This gun has the fire rate and power of an MG42 when you pick it up off someone and see it in killcams, then when you finally unlock and equip this, it shoots beanbags since that's the very day it got nerfed.
Handguns in this game in general are just ass when it comes to performance, the only real contender before the Siege came along was the GS.50 because of its very long 2 shot range. I definitely think that handguns overall should get a buff rather than the Siege being nerfed to oblivion.

Nerf p890 and the siege and ever so slightly buff the other ones (only in terms of movement/handling) and I think they'd be in a good spot. I think I’m the only one who finds this thing to not be OP. There are so many other better secondary options than this. For up close, akimbo p890’s, akimbo X12/13’s, single or akimbo snakeshots. RPG for the splash factor, or knife for movement. For mid range and beyond, the slow time to kill gives you a chance to evade the rest of the shots… Every SMG beats this thing straight up, and I keep seeing people complain about the ledge hang when you can literally 1 shot people with the deagle doing the same shit, yet you rarely ever see people actually playing like this. If anything, they could nerf the mobility of it a bit, add in some horizontal recoil and even more so with the magazines, but unless you’re point blank, this thing is not threatening. Even with a full zero recoil build, the bullet velocity is trash and the time to kill is worse than almost any other weapon.
Should probably increase the shots-to-kill by 1 at all ranges and it'd make it more of a secondary that's easier to use than the rest rather than one that's obliterating the rest. Especially the X13 auto...rip glock 18
Imo activision looked at how many people use overkill and added this secondary to balance that aspect out, expect now I’m running a shield as my primary and this thing as an smg with double time and blast shield and having a blast!
i got it last night and it seems ok. Not the worst pistol but not very competitive either. A fun gimmick weapon to be sure. it uses all the existing deagle attachments except it accepts underbarrels instead of lasers.
From my experience with this weapon, this is better than the full auto GS .50. The Ftac Seige has so much versatility that it can be kitted in many ways(your couple of builds included). When i tested it, i kitted it like a mini SMG. Accuracy, range(am aware of the damage range problem it has), and more importantly magazine size(can do the biggest one, but the second biggest clip would be better option to minimize penalties on its downsides.
I'm glad I used the gun before I watch this video. On paper it doesn't seem like much but in practice it's a melt machine. Hopefully they don't nerf it into the ground😢
I saw that they gave it an (almost) realistic rate of fire (the real one fires 1,500) and i was so happy but then i saw they gave it a *71 drum mag* and i instinctually said „who hurt the developers to make them add this“
TAC-9s were very easy to modify into machine pistols like we see in game, and it wasn't something you could toggle. It's still accurate for the firearm's history (The fact it was so easy to make an automatic is how it got banned).
At least this is good cause they did the GS Magna wrong. Less damage than the semi auto version, crazy recoil, and same mag attachments as the semi auto. It shows how much CoD has fallen. It is an auto desert eagle but in CoD 4 the semi auto desert eagle could fire almost as fast with better accuracy.
Do you know is unusual? We all thought that this would be a high damage, slow firing pistol. Honestly, it's not that OP. If I had the chance to nerf it, I would add a 21ms open bolt delay (It's an open bolt weapon), and slow the ADS time to 185ms.

Honestly I don’t think it’s broken. Yeah the fact that it’s a pistol give it mobility benefits and it has the ability to be an smg, the range is pretty okay and the ttk is competitive in those ranges but you’ll straight up lose to any actual smgs. It’s a good alternative if you don’t want to use overkill but not a straight replacement to an smg and I’m perfectly fine with the way it is.
I honestly really don’t like that half of the pistols we have available are now Full Auto. Could’ve thrown something unique into the mix, like a 3 round burst, or even just a more generic pistol would have been nice.
I’ve enjoyed your reviews. If only the game itself did not have so many flaws, from the lagging & freezing curiosity mostly on Shipment. But what is really frustrating is it doesn’t track all of the Camino challenges, I guess they more concerned with animal costumes & making the bunny hop a strategic part of the game. (Lame) Yes I know they have to make $. But the first couple of Modern Warfare games were solid games, the newer versions are fun at times But after a while it’s gets old pretty fast. Great job. Ace are you sure about the ttk and shots to kill per range ? I'm in the firing range and it's 7 shots to kill the dummy closest to me even with the longest range barrel attachment. I should be well within the 6 shot kill range. Please double check . Many thanks
@@KillerUnicorn586 Even before the drum ADS buff it was still the fastest SMG in the entire game. I'd personally argue that it's the best close/mid range SMG in the game. Others run better for longer range because of Velocity, a more controllable fire rate and recoil.

Just took down a 6 lvl2 bots with a single birst. Something i wouldn't be able to do with my Tag56 or Iso hamlock. Insane
I played a few dmz games with it and felt like I was cheating. It feels like it has 2x damage in dmz.
It does wonders in the new complex, just make sure to bring lots of ammo boxes. And 40-50 meter kills on bots feels as fast as the hemlock.

A single P890 is a beast, better than a lot of primaries, especially at short range.

The basilisk has tuning on the snake shots now. Its back to op status imo.

Haven't even maxed this baby out yet but I absolutely love it, you will need to run scav or ammo box though because you're going to burn through ammo.
I got the ftac siege and fully leveled it up in 2 hours playing shipment 24/7

For mid range and beyond, the slow time to kill gives you a chance to evade the rest of the shots… Every SMG beats this thing straight up, and I keep seeing people complain about the ledge hang when you can literally 1 shot people with the deagle doing the same shit, yet you rarely ever see people actually playing like this. If anything, they could nerf the mobility of it a bit, add in some horizontal recoil and even more so with the magazines, but unless you’re point blank, this thing is not threatening. Even with a full zero recoil build, the bullet velocity is trash and the time to kill is worse than almost any other weapon.

Unless IW fucked up attachment stats, the supertac-iv is listed as the best for range. Its also much longer
So this gun is basically a MW22's take at a PPSh-41, Same fire rate, low damage and 71/72 drum mag
Should probably increase the shots-to-kill by 1 at all ranges and it'd make it more of a secondary that's easier to use than the rest rather than one that's obliterating the rest. Especially the X13 auto...rip glock 18
Gun is the fastest firing gun I've ever used, except maybe the Vector in Battlefield Hardline (which was 1250 iirc)

Imo activision looked at how many people use overkill and added this secondary to balance that aspect out, expect now I’m running a shield as my primary and this thing as an smg with double time and blast shield and having a blast!
They really have to nerf the right shield it'd be cool if they'd make it where armor piercing arounds would go through it if it was on your back

i got it last night and it seems ok. Not the worst pistol but not very competitive either. A fun gimmick weapon to be sure. it uses all the existing deagle attachments except it accepts underbarrels instead of lasers.

i find it weird u unlock the 70 round mag before all the other mags.

From my experience with this weapon, this is better than the full auto GS .50. The Ftac Seige has so much versatility that it can be kitted in many ways(your couple of builds included). When i tested it, i kitted it like a mini SMG. Accuracy, range(am aware of the damage range problem it has), and more importantly magazine size(can do the biggest one, but the second biggest clip would be better option to minimize penalties on its downsides.
If you put an optic on it, you'll be amazed at the range.

You can also shoot it in the water too

I saw that they gave it an (almost) realistic rate of fire (the real one fires 1,500) and i was so happy but then i saw they gave it a *71 drum mag* and i instinctually said „who hurt the developers to make them add this“

TAC-9s were very easy to modify into machine pistols like we see in game, and it wasn't something you could toggle. It's still accurate for the firearm's history (The fact it was so easy to make an automatic is how it got banned).

At least this is good cause they did the GS Magna wrong. Less damage than the semi auto version, crazy recoil, and same mag attachments as the semi auto. It shows how much CoD has fallen. It is an auto desert eagle but in CoD 4 the semi auto desert eagle could fire almost as fast with better accuracy.
I feel like the xten r-40 suppressor is better than the stf-u barrel. Just to the one who wanna run a suppressor on it

Do you know is unusual? We all thought that this would be a high damage, slow firing pistol. Honestly, it's not that OP. If I had the chance to nerf it, I would add a 21ms open bolt delay (It's an open bolt weapon), and slow the ADS time to 185ms.

Honestly I don’t think it’s broken. Yeah the fact that it’s a pistol give it mobility benefits and it has the ability to be an smg, the range is pretty okay and the ttk is competitive in those ranges but you’ll straight up lose to any actual smgs. It’s a good alternative if you don’t want to use overkill but not a straight replacement to an smg and I’m perfectly fine with the way it is.
I just like the design of the TEC-9, especially when it's an actually viable weapon.
I honestly really don’t like that half of the pistols we have available are now Full Auto. Could’ve thrown something unique into the mix, like a 3 round burst, or even just a more generic pistol would have been nice.

Ace are you sure about the ttk and shots to kill per range ? I'm in the firing range and it's 7 shots to kill the dummy closest to me even with the longest range barrel attachment. I should be well within the 6 shot kill range. Please double check . Many thanks
Something broke with the firing range dummies recently so they can’t be used for accurate data at all. I’ll likely cover this in a video soon

Viable drums are quite a rare sight. Perhaps this may be the only instance where they are useable (aside from the RPK and AUG lmg default mag).

The Fennec has always been viable with the 45 drum, if not a necessity for the sake of not having to reload after a single kill.

@@KillerUnicorn586 Even before the drum ADS buff it was still the fastest SMG in the entire game. I'd personally argue that it's the best close/mid range SMG in the game. Others run better for longer range because of Velocity, a more controllable fire rate and recoil.
