Hey Ace I'd really appreciate it if you spoke about the HPR news which came out a few days ago in regards to ranked. I think this is an absolute disaster of a system that arbitrarily sticks people in a rank which doesn't accurately portray their skill and basically ruins ranked.
I agree. The whole point about ranked is that you can easily understand how your actions affect your rank, and track that change in rank. Having a secondary ranking system that's hidden defeats the purpose of a ranked mode-it should be fully integrated and visible alongside SR. Personally, I think it would be great if you saw your progress in-game, to further drive the understanding of how actions in game are tied to SR so you can adjust your gameplay on the fly.
@DannyLo I'm sure their reasoning (whether that reasoning makes sense is a separate issue) is that people will try to game and maximize whatever actions add to rank. Say you get X(times on objective) + X(kills) + Win. You'd have everyone staying on objective or going for kills depending on what gets a bigger multiplier. You can have situations where you'll lose a game because too many people are trying to do the same thing, even if they are trying to win over anything else. . I'd say the reasoning doesn't make sense. Comp FPS games have figured this out already. Just copy CS and other games.

You're insane, Dragon's Breath or not this gun is ridiculous. In very highly skilled lobbies it might not be as big of an issue since people insta kill you with any gun but in the average lobby this thing turns scrubs into gods. The fire rate paired with a 25 Shell Mag people just spam the crap out it annihilating everything in their path.
Imo it's OP even without the fire rounds. That's from my experience getting it gold (which I rushed before they nerf it) as well as getting wrecked with it constantly. It's handily 2x better than any of the other shotguns (which are underpowered imo).
The one thing I wish you would've mentioned is that while the Dragon's Breath rounds increase the range of th 1 and 2 hit kills, it doesn't inherently make them "better", because a ton of those 1 to 2 hit kills are reliant on the burn damage finishing them off, rather than dying the moment the pellets hit them. It makes them more consistent for sure, but in a game where you die in milliseconds, you'll die a ton waiting for the burn to kill them too if your target is returning fire. That's mostly why I don't consider them OP, because of the tradeoff of dying more in return for killing more.
Yes lol drooped a casual 84-45 on shipment using it with dragons breath 😭 but at the same time idk I don’t feel like I get to annoyed by it when I’m going up against it
2 weeks later the broadside and Dragons breath got nerfed and did nothing. The Dragons breath rounds nerf wasnt needed since the KV was the biggest problem yet the nerf did nothing to either. so GG IW.
If you’re being super competitive then I probably wouldn’t recommend Slugs all that much anyways just because ARs and SMGs are lower risk and more versatile in general. However Slug Round Shotguns are probably the most fun setup to use in the game and if you have the skill then this is a much better alternative then regular shells As long as you’re accurate and have the right setup it’s like having a super consistent shotgun with the tightest pellet spread in the world and far more significant ranges to one shot which is what we all aim for with shotguns anyways right? It requires a bit more skill then just the thoughtless spamming shell version of this gun, but it provides higher rewards as well which is what makes it so fun You could also say it’s like having the fastest quick scoping Marksman Rifle in the game that’s also Semi Automatic! My setup is the Range Twelve Xten Modified/Bryson Choke VLK Laser VLK Stockless 12 Gauge Slugs Get as much ADS and Bullet Velocity as you possibly can with the tuning and this weapon is a beast and your range/accuracy concerns are basically erased! Also it’s best to treat it like you’re quick scoping rather then aiming and shooting like an AR or SMG, so that’s why I don’t use optics
I love this gun a lot, except for the fact that it squandered my dreams of getting a USAS 12. Tbf, we already had the in MW2019, but it would have been even more braindead to just hold down automatic fire, and not even have to tap the button.
It's just a matter of time until the dragonsbreath will be nerfed. So I basically play the all arounder build since I unlocked it, but I use an underbarrel attachment instead of 12 rounds, cause I don't need it in hardcore

The mossberg 590 is still the best shotty in mwII. Kit it out for range since you barely need to worry about ads in close quarters since you can just hip fire.

I'm so shocked that you didn't include a laser on this. First for a weapon in this game for you
My experience with with dragons breath vs buckshot is inverse to the results found her but i guess thats somehow just related to my play style.
Hey Ace, I'm surprised your recommended buckshot loadouts don't use Bryson chokes. Did your testing show it didn't have enough benefit?
Worst one shot kill? No problem, here’s 20 more 😂
Last couple days has just reminded my why they nerfed auto-shotguns in the previous game.
Imo it's OP even without the fire rounds. That's from my experience getting it gold (which I rushed before they nerf it) as well as getting wrecked with it constantly. It's handily 2x better than any of the other shotguns (which are underpowered imo).
Because of this gun, I no longer fear shipment, now shipment fears me!
Another thing that potentially makes DB rounds kinda OP/annoying is the free flashbang you get when shooting the gun.
I want the crossbow gun guide!
This gun is why I don’t play anyone. Everyone was using it
Bryson 800 super shorty next please
Yes lol drooped a casual 84-45 on shipment using it with dragons breath 😭 but at the same time idk I don’t feel like I get to annoyed by it when I’m going up against it
KV Broadside shotgun is based on Molot Vepr-12 real life shotgun
lol i started to finish my orion grind (finished polyatomic) and shipment right now is a broadside dragonsbreath spam
Thanks for the build.
I decided to destroy the lobby’s now with that.
If you can’t fight them, join them
Blast shield?! Bro time travelled back to MW3 ☠️
I'd replace the 12 shell mag with the Bryson choke on the OP build, it also massively helps when hipfiring.
Short answer, yes
2 weeks later the broadside and Dragons breath got nerfed and did nothing. The Dragons breath rounds nerf wasnt needed since the KV was the biggest problem yet the nerf did nothing to either. so GG IW.
If you’re being super competitive then I probably wouldn’t recommend Slugs all that much anyways just because ARs and SMGs are lower risk and more versatile in general. However Slug Round Shotguns are probably the most fun setup to use in the game and if you have the skill then this is a much better alternative then regular shells
As long as you’re accurate and have the right setup it’s like having a super consistent shotgun with the tightest pellet spread in the world and far more significant ranges to one shot which is what we all aim for with shotguns anyways right? It requires a bit more skill then just the thoughtless spamming shell version of this gun, but it provides higher rewards as well which is what makes it so fun
You could also say it’s like having the fastest quick scoping Marksman Rifle in the game that’s also Semi Automatic!
My setup is the
Range Twelve
Xten Modified/Bryson Choke
VLK Laser
VLK Stockless
12 Gauge Slugs
Get as much ADS and Bullet Velocity as you possibly can with the tuning and this weapon is a beast and your range/accuracy concerns are basically erased! Also it’s best to treat it like you’re quick scoping rather then aiming and shooting like an AR or SMG, so that’s why I don’t use optics
Yes, yes it is
what about underbarrel attachments that improve the Hipfire?
Damn I already did all my shotguns camos I had no idea dragons breathe was so OP
I love this gun a lot, except for the fact that it squandered my dreams of getting a USAS 12.
Tbf, we already had the in MW2019, but it would have been even more braindead to just hold down automatic fire, and not even have to tap the button.
What is “blast shield”? Do you mean Bomb Squad?
It's just a matter of time until the dragonsbreath will be nerfed. So I basically play the all arounder build since I unlocked it, but I use an underbarrel attachment instead of 12 rounds, cause I don't need it in hardcore
Am I stupid or were ADS times for barrel attachments not in the video?
I love trying to get point blank kills against this with a minibak. Most fun I've ever had.
Hardcore menace
I have found people assume everyone is using Bomb Squad….
So they don’t.
I’ve been murdering with the Explosive on Shipment.
It’s a goddamn sniper shotgun with it.
The Dragon’s Breath is great, while it lasts.
But I bet it gets nerf’d before the M16 ever sees a buff.
Reminds me of the Striker from MW3
When u put slug rounds..I was hitting targets at 40m+
DB got buffed which is the reason its op with most guns right now, like the 1 shot snipers anywhere in the body and able to 1 shot in wz
Blast Shield? I think someone's been playing some old cods recently 😅
This gun with the drum mag is filthy.
They need to add akimbo for kv and fennec, as IW is known for not balancing their game this will help to maintain the reputation.
The mossberg 590 is still the best shotty in mwII. Kit it out for range since you barely need to worry about ads in close quarters since you can just hip fire.
The Dragons Breath rounds turns this thing into the ultimate crutch weapon for hyperactive coke fiends that I get matched against!
I haven't even been using dragon's breath and I've been getting really crazy matches. I kinda feel bad because it's clearly really annoying to die to but it's such a fun gun lmao.
