@GirthySponge facts. People really be mad about certain weapons having strengths and weaknesses. People are so soft. @@clrl936there is a downside to having it on the back. You can't carry launchers and other weapons plus the riot shield got a nerf on how many melee attacks it takes to get a k. Plus you have to use overkill which takes a perk slot. Most people don't even struggle against riot shields, but the people who complain about them are so annoying
They definitely took the KV Broadside Dragon's Breath nerf too far and entirely in the wrong direction. Pre-patch you had a greater 1-shot and 2-shot range, but a shorter max hit range than standard Buckshot, which is exactly how it should be balanced for this type of ammunition attachment. Now the 1-shot and 2-shot ranges are the same for Dragon's Breath and standard Buckshot, but the maximum range is even shorter than pre-patch, and the 1-shot potential with only 3 pellets has been reduced to effectively point-blank range. This makes the Dragon's Breath rounds an attachment that has only downsides with no upsides now compared to standard Buckshot. However, this nerf doesn't even address the actual problem with this gun, which is the time to kill (TTK), only the ranges at which you die. The proper way to balance this gun would be for Dragon's Breath rounds to have a bit wider pellet spread (both in hip fire and ADS) as well as slightly decrease the damage per pellet and damage ranges for 1-shot, 2-shot, and 3-shot kills based on the damage from that initial pellet hit (requiring at least 4 pellets to hit instead of 3 for an instant close-range 1-shot kill). Then you add a couple of ticks of burn damage per pellet on top of that smaller initial hit damage that would add up to more total damage per pellet than standard Buckshot. This would have the effect of reducing the range at which you get a 1-shot instant kill and requiring greater accuracy to get it (with you needing at least 4 pellets to hit instead of 3), but also increasing the overall range potential of a 1-shot kill thanks to the burn damage they would receive. This would mean the Dragon's Breath user would be receiving a greater 1-shot and 2-shot kill range potential in exchange for a shorter overall effective range and an increased risk of a kill trade since the enemy might not die instantly. Also, if an enemy player is running Bomb Squad to counter the burn effect, then the Dragon's Breath rounds will be less effective against them than standard Buckshot due to the reduced damage ranges and the smaller damage per initial pellet hit. This is how the Dragon's Breath rounds should be balanced against the standard Buckshot rounds. Then to address the actual problem of the KV Broadside having such a fast TTK, you can reduce the maximum fire rate cap and/or the damage per pellet for the standard Buckshot (from which the Dragon's Breath rounds would scale accordingly as described above). There IW, I did your job for you and balanced the gun the right way. I expect this to be implemented in a hot fix before Season 3 starts, please. P.S. - Thanks Ace for all of the work you do testing this stuff for us since the developers refuse to give us the advanced stats they offered in previous games, or to tell us everything they actually change with each update. I think a likely situation with this nebula barrel for the mp5 is that they had some major game breaking issue with it pre launch and took it out and have been working on trying to fix it and maybe it's just taken a back seat to bigger issues and while it hasn't been released just yet they've tweaked stuff on it in regards to stats and just accidentally included it with the patch notes, but I hope they add it soon and I kinda hope it's an MP5SD barrel

Mx9 got a very needed damage buff especially with such a small extended mag. Was hoping for some buffs with perks like battle hardened and focus etc. and ghost to work like it should with suppressed fire. Was also hoping to see some ads speed buffs to extended mags. Some make your gun ridiculously slow for mp and wz
The KV broadside definitely needed a Nerf but I feel like they took it way too far I mean like what's the point of having an attachment in the game if it's useless. Either balance it right or don't add it in the game at all and they definitely need to separate these weapon balance changes between multiplayer and warzone they've been destroying guns in multiplayer for the sake of warzone going on four years now. The RAAL MG did not need any increased recoil it wasn't plaguing lobbies or overpower at all in multiplayer. People barely even used it and now they're gonna have even less incentive to use it all because of warzone.
The most annoying thing with the KV/DB combo is that it's like someone is firing flashbangs into your face when you are on the receiving end. You can see at 2:50 just how ridiculous this is. This needed to be toned down as well but they didn't touch it.
Broadside is still highly effective with the dragon's breath post patch. The Devs would have to slow down the fire rate to avoid players spamming the trigger. Plus dragons breath firing rapidly covers the area in fire which blocks peoples view when trying to take u down
They didn't do anything to the thermite and explosive bolts on the crossbow? Feels like I have a harder time getting kills with them in Warzone than before the patch.
Weapon balance was fine. Lmgs I felt was ok to have little recoil because of movement speed and slow ads. But hey, it's OK to go for more realism with lmgs. Meanwhile people are still running around with sniper rifles like they are one shot pistols.... and why not just get rid of dragonsbreath at that point? Seriously, if you had an smg you could counter it.
Did claymore placement get changed? I used to be able to put my back to a wall or corner, and drop a claymore at my feet, nicely tucked out of view - but no more. Placement is now about a foot in front of your feet. I’m a huge claymore user, something changed.

Post patch raal recoil is easier to handle with kbm if i'm honest. It's basically a straight line going to the right and with a good sight you get no obstruction of the target wich makes it a buff in my opinion.

Nice quad with the deagle btw ace 👌👌
The KV broadside definitely needed a Nerf but I feel like they took it way too far I mean like what's the point of having an attachment in the game if it's useless. Either balance it right or don't add it in the game at all and they definitely need to separate these weapon balance changes between multiplayer and warzone they've been destroying guns in multiplayer for the sake of warzone going on four years now. The RAAL MG did not need any increased recoil it wasn't plaguing lobbies or overpower at all in multiplayer. People barely even used it and now they're gonna have even less incentive to use it all because of warzone.
infinity ward has always been the worst cod studio in terms of balancing. they are so bad at it.
The most annoying thing with the KV/DB combo is that it's like someone is firing flashbangs into your face when you are on the receiving end.
You can see at 2:50 just how ridiculous this is. This needed to be toned down as well but they didn't touch it.
That is crazy if they don’t know that barrel is not in the game anymore
Broadside is still highly effective with the dragon's breath post patch. The Devs would have to slow down the fire rate to avoid players spamming the trigger. Plus dragons breath firing rapidly covers the area in fire which blocks peoples view when trying to take u down
It's crazy that the SCAR-L and Vityaz somehow avoid nerfs again, yet the Sakin and MP5 get nerfs. I wonder if a single dev actually plays 6v6.
Did they remove tuning from ranked
Yes
Good. Dragons breath was like a cheat code power level.
So I DID see an MP5SD barrel in the beta… I was kinda upset to not see it in the game but I guess they just cut it out…
Thought the under barrels were decent before but I'm not complaining. Just wish they buffed barrels aswell
Maybe they meant reload speed for the vel 30 round mag buff
We love you Ace, thanks for the work you do for the community !
Pre-patch I called KV Broadside the "Equalizer" because it's so OP even in mid range with dragon breath
The new update broke my Skin MG38 camos so I can't unlock them anymore... Guess I gotta hold off on Orion until that gets fixed.
They didn't do anything to the thermite and explosive bolts on the crossbow? Feels like I have a harder time getting kills with them in Warzone than before the patch.
I'm so glad i finished my longshots last week
Weapon balance was fine. Lmgs I felt was ok to have little recoil because of movement speed and slow ads. But hey, it's OK to go for more realism with lmgs. Meanwhile people are still running around with sniper rifles like they are one shot pistols.... and why not just get rid of dragonsbreath at that point? Seriously, if you had an smg you could counter it.
Thanks for being so fast.
Warzone balancing was always separate in MW2019, CD and Vanguard so idk why they changed it with this
Dude I just want the m16 to be usuable I like 3 round burst guns but it feels so inconsistent
Did claymore placement get changed? I used to be able to put my back to a wall or corner, and drop a claymore at my feet, nicely tucked out of view - but no more. Placement is now about a foot in front of your feet. I’m a huge claymore user, something changed.
I just want to thank you for your video on high velocity. I am crimson 2 in ranked play, and the thought never even crossed my mind to take off High velo.
Well, I took off the ammo and put on a muzzle, and now I am literally frying people off head glitches where as before I couldn't reliably do so at medium ranges. I can't notice a difference in bullet travel speeds.
The BAS-P had potential but it was unusable with the sprint out time. Plus with the 4” barrel it’s a hit marker machine
It feels like they slowed downed movement aswell, and they also removed tubing from ranked play
That triple collat was nasty
Great clarity on nerfs and buffs as always, but can we talk about your triple collateral at 8:17?!
The hell they keep dumping on the raal. It was never that good 😂
Appreciate it ace, do you mind just answering if you think the MP5 is still meta in Multiplayer?
I still consider it to be an upper tier SMG for sure
tried the Raal last nite, at decent ranges, it was still pretty good. but, tuning may have an effect, as i aim for more recoil smoothness and control, over Sprint to fire or ADS..
Post patch raal recoil is easier to handle with kbm if i'm honest.
It's basically a straight line going to the right and with a good sight you get no obstruction of the target wich makes it a buff in my opinion.
considering the raal is based on the sig 338 which has an affective range of 1500 to 2000 meters it should definitely do more damage than all the 308 snipers lmao but video game I know
The additional recoil nerf on the RAAL felt unnecessary but beside that these are very good changes
