In the spirit of 100% transparency, the keyboard featured in this video was supplied by MelGeek and not personally purchased. My goal is to objectively review this product and this is not a paid endorsement. "Paid Promotion" is enabled since I accepted something of monetary value to produce the video, the product itself.

MelGeek does seem to have a good sound in their keyboards.

It’s either true IBM or Lenovo with trackpoint for me or a recent purchase was a Tek Shinobi… which has some good and bad to it. Happy New Year. Cheers.

One day I want to try a Text keyboard or any custom TrackPoint keyboard.

Forgive me off topic - lovely desk. What's the depth on it, please?

It's actually not a desk. It's a piece of acacia countertop that was left over from a renovation years ago.

      @@LaptopRetrospective reusing materials 👍

Yep and using what I had available to make something new. Realistically I need to go back to the drawing board again to revamp things. Temporary measures have a habit of becoming longterm solutions.

This is nice, but I dont know if it can replace my Lenovo SK-8825

Haven't used that one but if it came with a TrackPoint, I wouldn't let it go.

Is the 8825 any good? I had an 8835 but it was very disappointing. It might look like a ThinkPad keyboard but it really doesn't have the same feel. I sold mine on eBay last year.

This is not even released. Fake review. Cheap advertisement

How does looking at a product before it's commercially available make it "fake" in terms of a review? I can understand if the released product is vastly different from this version but that has generally not been the case. If it was I'd likely pull the video.

They have a Kickstarter and already have other boards in production, lol. Can't wait to get mine.
