Yoga For the Office - Standing Series - 11 Minute

  • This is a standing practice - perfect for anyone at the office or in a space where they don't have a mat. If you're looking to get a quick stretch in, this vid's for you!
    We'll have some forward folds to help open up the hamstrings and release tension in the low back. We also have some standing splits in there, which are nice not only for the hamstrings but also the hip flexors as well. We'll open up through the inner thighs and side body as well. As always, work within a pain-free range.

    I absolutely love your short standing routines; they are a lifesaver for office workers and a nice short workout while traveling for work or pleasure. And for those of us who either do not like or cannot do mat work comfortably. I like to combine several of your short standing routines for a 20 or 30 min workout, or if i only have 10 min, can still get in some movement during my day. Wonderful and thank you.

    It’s late and I almost didn’t practice today, but I figured I could get in 10 minutes standing by my bed. I feel so much better now. Thank you so much for all the amazing, diverse yoga content you create. I was crazy stressed but now I think I’ll be able to sleep. Namaste. 🙏🏼

    Loved this. Perfect for an active start to my day.
    A video request: Do you think, one day, you could do a video for people who have standing jobs, such as chefs/ cooks and jobs alike? I work in a professional kitchen and stand and walk at least 6-8 hours every day and always have soar legs and feet and a tight back after a long standing day. I've found it hard to find a yoga video that really tackles all of that and you are the only yogi i really trust. :) Thank you for being on youtube and making videos, it improves my life every day. :)

      Ah you're so kind. Yes, I could totally do that, although off the top of my head I would recommend any of the hip opening practices. When you stand, the low back can ache, and so to counter that you'd want to open up the hips so the low back can be released (hips and low back are related) :)

      I do love your hip opening videos. If you made a special one for standing jobs, I would love to see some stretches for the feet, I do find it hard to make my feet relax after a day of standing. Same for my low legs. :) Stretching the hamstring definitely helps, but if you had any other tips I and my coworkers would love to hear them :)

    Hallo Candace, thank you for all your great yoga videos. I was using your app for a long time, bit it doesn't work anymore. What happened? Are you not using it anymore?

      I would love to be doing the app, but I am in a legal battle with the App Developer and we had to delete the app. I hope to do another one in the future. Thanks for the support.

      Yoga by Candace oh that's a shame! I really liked it, it's kind of calmer to use the app than using RUclips I find. It would be fantastic if you manage to open another app in the future. I would definately be prepared to pay for it! I have been using online yoga videos for 1, 5 years now and I still find that yours are the best! Thank you for sharing with us❤💙💚💛💜
