      Chris Sayer heavily based RCT om Blackpool pleasure beach, several of the attractions that seem normal when you play the games are based on or are only at blackpool, such as the steeplechase.

    After trying it out for myself, I can genuinely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that riding ENSO was the best £15 I've ever spent! I was on my own and the car spun like an absolute top! It ranks as my favorite coaster experience in the UK hands down!
    HOWEVER... I do wholeheartedly agree that £15 is definitely pricey, and it would benefit the park infinitely more if they added an extra ENSO train and lowered the standard price down to £10. That might just make it enticing enough to convince more people to try it out for the first time, or make it so that riding it more than once per visit doesn't require taking out a mortgage.
    Regardless, I'm still flabbergasted at how good my ride on it was, and would still recommend it, even if just for one ride.

      Not everyone will want to be spinning loads, this serves more as a way to point you in different directions throughout the ride. Though £15 is definitely a lot, especially if you did go on and happen to be facing forward half the time.

      Without some kind of upcharge that will deter a lot of people. The queues to get on it are going to be hellishly long.

    • @LancashireBob
      @LancashireBob 2 года назад +9

      @@Mitjitsu So you don't think they are ripping people off. Pay 25 and get to the front of the queue. That's a blatant con and extremely greedy. People should boycott it so the pleasure beach doesn't make anything from it. They could have made it free and just let you book a time to ride just like the fast pass option. Oh wait then they don't get 25 pounds per person. DOH

    • @Mitjitsu
      @Mitjitsu 2 года назад +11

    • @LancashireBob
      @LancashireBob 2 года назад +7

      @@Mitjitsu Okay I agree with you that parks are pricey to run and also that during the pandemic they lost revenue. But. The pleasure beach was always seen as a value for money day out. You could walk in for free spend some money in the souvenir shops or win a cuddly toy etc. Now it's 10 pounds or maybe more just to look inside. The ticket prices on the gate are way over the top that's why you can find discounts all over the Internet. To add two seats to an existing ride and upcharge 15 or 25 pounds per person is immoral. If you have a couple of teenagers who want to go on just for one ride that may or may not spin around. Then the cost will be virtually 100 pounds just for the two kids. People are facing hardship more than any other time in years. And Shawn used to be an honest reviewer. Now because his channel has grown and he gets invited for free he just waxes lyrical about everything. You must know his subscribers are predominantly young and impressionable and probably have little knowledge of money and how hard it is to survive. So while you justify the huge cost of entry and the eating establishments in there. That doesn't mean that things are value for money

      I'm with David here do the maths folks. Shaun will know better but say it's a 2 min 30sec experience. I know there are loading times and down time to factor in but they're variables. At 25 pounds a seat and at 2.30secs a cycle, say that's 26 cycles an hour for one seat that's 650 pounds and hour, double that 1300 pounds X hours the park is open, for arguments sake let's say 8hours. 10,400 pounds a day, even if the carriage costs 60,000 its paid for itself within a week. Again I have no clue what a spinning Mack carriage costs so Shaun would be better to do the maths, and I know there is a 15 pound option, but like the author of this post I think sadly I won't be spinning on Icon anytime soon.. I am 47 years of age been going to BPB since I was about 5 years old, I have taken my own children on numerous occasions and had lots of fun there, but if my kids were still that young, for a family of 4 at this time I wouldn't have an extra 100 pounds for 2 and a half minutes of fun, and if I had we certainly wouldn't be able to re ride at those prices.

    Went today so I’ll add my thoughts before I forget them! It’s ridiculously good fun, an absolute blast. Icon is a fantastic ride anyway but these seats make it a completely new experience and are a total thrill especially when you end up facing backwards on the second launch!
    Now for the negatives, £15 or £25 (for no wait time) a pop is a stupid amount of money. We only make it to BPB once or twice a year but if I was a local with a season pass I’d be pissed off. Today the Enso seats were mostly empty and people had no idea what it was about. BPB have taken what used to be the Speedy boarding queue and made it the Enso queue so you had people constantly in the wrong line, that’s going to be messy in high season. Making matters worse, when the Enso train comes around, people who are queuing for the last 2 rows of the normal train are left confused because the gates open and there’s only 1 row, people were trying to board the train and had to be held back by the staff. Also, if you have bought tickets on the day rather than E-tickets, you can’t book these seats without going to customer services where they have to make you an online account which takes at least 10 minutes if there’s no one queuing there! I hope BPB are paying attention to this or the poor staff are going to have a lot of issues this summer…

    Suppose, end of the day, it wasn't designed as a spinning coaster so the laterals needed to make the cars spin are kept to a minimum.

    Loads of great POVs there to give us a feel for this experience. I still think it’s too expensive, on top of the £40 park admission, especially if you are a family wanting to try this. Disappointed that it’s only really great if you’re a single rider as, with two seats on one of three trains, most people will never get to try it that way, especially if visiting at busy times. Does look fun, but I think I’d rather ride a spinning coaster in a park where it’s part of the admission and not an up charge. Will still ride ICON as that is a brilliant ride.

    Spinning rides aren’t my thing but I’m so interested in how everyone finds it. Certainly looks to spin far more when riding alone. Loved Charlotte screaming as soon as it set off!

    ha, I did Enso today and honestly, I didn't have the foggiest idea where I was on the layout even though I have been on icon about a million times 🤣
    also, the best £15 I have ever spent, it was just such an amazing experience, I couldn't stop laughing the entire way around. Although, I do believe it should be a lotcheaper to entice more people to do it, or at least throw in a "free" on ride photo!

    I was really hoping it would be Ride to Happiness level spinning, it looks like they are using time traveller's magnetic spin damping. They also should add spin impulses to the two launches, it could be so much better. I wish they made one of the 3 trains proper spinning trains from those mack extreme spinners

    I wonder why they didn't use the 4 seater car instead. I feel like they weight distribution there could make it spin even more.
    Looks like a fun experience but is it really 15 pounds per ride? That's a LOT of money. I get that it has a low capacity but that could have been handled with more/other cars instead.

    A lack of discussion over the price vs. ride in this vlog, I am afraid - I appreciate that the park invited you, so you have a duty to be somewhat positive - but some of the rides you had, if I paid £15 - I would be frustrated. It's no risk though, as I won't be anyway.

    All very positive when you don't need to pay and park is closed. Let's see how it goes on a busy day. Something tells me going on your own won't be an option. Surely they would just pick another single rider to sit next to you.

    Check out the Steel Taipan in Australia. , Mack did this on that new coaster a few months back. Having ridden it, Steel Taipan spins a lot more than this version does, and it’s an incredibly intense ride. This still looks like great fun though! 😁

    "Everyone who has been here today at this very exclusive preview has really enjoyed it"..... Of course they did, they didn't have to pay the £120 worth of rides that you guys got that us normies will have to pay.... This is why I never 100% trust the reviews of youtubers who get invited to things for free, there is a lot of expectation on behalf of the parks who invite them [and the youtubers themselves] to give a good reviews due to being given so many freebies..... I know a lot of them say, oh, we tell it how it is and a lot of the time I believe Shawn when he says that, but not all the time, haha. Glad it gave a good ride experience though I just wont be forking out for the upcharge until they reduce it to a more reasonable price.

      To be fair, even with it being free for Shawn he said he prefers a normal ride at the front or back.

Once I have achieved getting over fear of heights, inversions & vertical. But cheers & look forward to next video. 😀👍

    As a German enthusiast I don't think I'd spent 15 Pounds on this when I make it to BPB in the future, that is just like way too high of a price for a little bit of spinning.

    Great to see Pleasure Beach removing seats at the cost of the regular paying customers experience for an overpriced upcharge experience. Love to see it!
    On a serious note though, the ride does look fun, its just a shame that it came at the expense of the average guests experience.

She was just about to pay another £25 for another vip ticket to go on it lol. I wouldn’t pay £75 to ride a ride twice, but it is her money lol. She went backwards up the second launch

    I think £15.00 upcharge is a bit steep, i think maybe run 2- 3 trains with the last train being a whole train of springing seats and charge £10.00 ?

  • @JoriDiculous

    That's one way to boost your rides. Not a fan of paying extra for it though, but i guess its a way to limit it somewhat.
    Maybe later they will add more spinning seats randomly in the "train".
    Funny seeing Charlotte got a completely different ride from Shawn's ride. And you'll get a different ride on where your have your hands and feet are.
