This is only worth it if you use it in combination with the Elgato HD60X for the least amount of input lag. I bought a cheap usb-c capture card for $25 and it can’t compete at all with a regular tv. It does work great as a second screen on my Steam deck though for Nintendo DS emulation 👌
Yes, I think the input lag is definitely coming from the capture card. A more expensive card would most likely eliminate the lag. That steam deck sounds nice though!
Yes, I do believe that it could be the capture card. But no, you cannot just use a cable to plug a device into the iPad. The capture card coverts the signal into data the iPad can display, a usb c cable would not.
Thanks for commenting directly on the noticeable input lag. Some other RUclipsrs irresponsibly glossed over that important issue when talking about this setup of using a capture card with iPads.
What would you use this setup for?
Someone forgot to switch the audio from their camera mic 😉
It is not working at all with me Xbox series X
What capture card are you using?

Personally use the Elgato 4K X for low latency - works well with the M series chips
30 or 60 hz?
It is 60hz
@@evanmarch4142i can streaming to Tiktok this way? if I turn on the live stream first and only then connect the console to ipad?
Your lag comes from ur capture card.
How abt if use normal usb c to hdmi cable? Not the one says video capture ?it will work?
No it will not. You need a device to turn the video signal into a data signal. The iPad does not allow for video in.
try ps5 u can play with almost no latency
Yes I have heard that. Unfortunately I do not own a PS5.
would it be possible that it was the capture card producing the input lag and would a hdmi- usb c cable work to eliminate the lag?

It was one of the first things I noticed. And I am not a fan of it and one of the reasons I am not a fan of cloud gaming.
