  • Dwarf Rasbora rival Chilis in their color and beauty. Peaceful and versatile, they are an excellent choice for a heavily planted nano aquarium, often working quite well with shrimp.

Hey Rachel! if you remember a year or so ago I got 8-10 'Boraras Maculatus' from my LFS, which turned out to be Boraras Naevus! and I could do that only because of your help! They bred, I have 2-3 fry which are now nearing adult size and they're really cool! I have them in a biotope like tank.
I've also kep B. Brigittae, Maculatus, and Merah
      thanks again!

I have a large group of these, they are significantly larger than Chili’s, some are 1” to 1 1/4 “ in size, they survive shipping much better than Chili’s and live peacefully with them , even exhibiting spawning behaviors inter species. chili’s are the aggressors btw and beet red , in my tank , these guy have no where near the color but are Much larger. And beautiful in their own way , also have Merah in the same tank and they are submissive.

Rachel's spot on about these guys, bought 14 only 2 weeks ago and they have coloured up amazingly well just within my 27 litre quarantine tank. Still prefer Chilli Rasbora, but Dwarf Rasbora are certainly a very close 2nd, along with Boraras Merah.

Mark Lester Leal rasboras and guppies have very different needs for water quality. Guppies like salty alkaline water and would literally start slowly falling apart in the acidic, tannin rich waters that rasboras prefer
