    Can anyone just take a moment to admire Tyson for going to see his opponet after such scary knock out?. Tyson eventually became a person who a lot of people despised but during his early years, yes, he was a trully killing machine but a gentleman also. What a fighter....honestly....what a fighter. For all who say George Foreman would have beat Mike, of course its very possible. But then it is also very possible Mike would have beat George, Tyson in his prime was Speed and Power. George was power and had the height advantage,but Tyson's speed may have well made the difference.

    • @ryandbertram
      @ryandbertram 8 лет назад +25

      +Jimmy Logan Foreman would have been too powerful for Tyson.. Meaning, Tyson was quick and powerful, but he had a glass chin. Foreman in his prime took on very solid punches such as Ken Norton and made very short work of them. I think Foreman's strength is that 82 inch reach, and he's a very solid puncher.

Joe Frazier was in his son’s corner and after Marvis was brought to his feet and was being revived, Joe Frazier was captured by the cameras holding Marvis and saying “that’s ok baby.” Later, while still in the ring, Joe Frazier was interviewed and he stated words to the effect that “I’m going to have to put the gloves back on again to see what this boy [Tyson] is all about.”

Boy I remember we got that Spinks fight on PayPerView.. it was kind of a new thing at the time. We paid like 100 for it I think. It lasted like a minute and a half. In his defense, Marvis only lost 2 matches to Holmes and Tyson. He also beat James Tillis (who was 31-5 at the time) and "Bonecrusher" Smith, both of these guys had enough skill to not get knocked out by Tyson in the opening minutes and went to decision. In either case, I don't think Marvis was a failure as a boxer, he just lost to the 2 best of his era, one at his absolute prime (Tyson in '86), and another still in prime condition (Holmes in '83).

And last but not least Trevor Berbick fights and beats a parkinson's Ali, Tyson eats Berbick for dinner.
