Currently trying to sew bias binding onto a V neck. All the other videos I found on youtube are methods that involve hiding the binding, your method is the only one that is for visible binding, so thank you! Granted, I didn't 100% understand, but my Mum who does sewing did and she's going to try and show me :)

I have a reversible vest with the back shaped with a v-neckline. Not sure how to sew binding tape for a clean v-look. It ties on front, sides and, shoulders, with grommets.
Thank you for your excellent sewing techniques.

You're a rockstar! I've been trying to figure out an easier way to install a new v neckline in a garment that I already have and I have literally tried 3 or 4 times on the same piece and still couldn't get it to drop correctly. Thank you for the easier way.

I'm a very VERY novice sewer, wouldn't washing the bias tape make it lose it's pre-ironed folds? Do you have to iron them back in or is there a way to avoid this? Thanks!

    • @BreaknRemake

Oh man! Without seeing it I can't really help you trouble shoot. A couple of tips though: steam is your friend! Use steam to help shape and control the bias. The bias tape has to be "goldilocks", not too loose not too tight. Press FOR SUCCESS!

If i may kindly suggest an opinion, maybe by showing a photo of every step (like every time you top stitch etc), will give a clearer view, and we can pause the video to see it and learn from your every step along the way :) i struggled a bit visually to see where the stitches are made in this video :( anyway thank you so much for your efforts! all the best! Without seeing your project I can give you a few guesses. First, you may have cut your neck too wide, it might not come to a clean V if the original shape is more like a U. Next practice the pin trick of getting the V just right. The last tip is keep practicing! You can get it!
