That turned out fantastic! With a red belt and little embroidered bumblebees, perfection! Just need some sneakers, a big floppy hat, and a cute tote bag, and it's a perfect weekend outfit! ❤️
I've been trying to figure out how to do this on dresses with zippers forever. Thanks! Like the new video style, too, with no background music, so we can focus on your instructions!
This is the video I've been needing. I have a beautiful white with black & royal blue print charmeuse blouse I got on clearance. It has a mock neck that needs a 'V' or scoop neck. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you so much. This covered all of my concerns. Your method of teaching and demonstrating are the best I’ve seen on any online tutorial. I am happily and fortunately a new subscriber to your channel!!
@@cheriberi934 No. the facing will not stretch. It will help stabilize your neckline. If you want it to stretch, consider an elastic facing. Like bias tape but elastic.
Thank you so much for the video, it is super helpful but I have a question. Is it okay if we don't make any changes at the back? Do we have to cut the back even if it's a little? I'm new at sewing so I really don't know much, I'd be glad if you could just answer :)
This was my exact question as I love the back of the dress I intend to make a deep V neck line but it's a key whole back so i didn't want to alter the clasp at the top back to much now I feel more confident to add a v neck line as it was a full coverage for the chest as it was a high neckline
Thank you so much I have learnt more in your video than I have in many years regarding sewing techniques for Alterations

In the finishing of the facing part after ironing are you sewing the interface to the 1/8in allowance?
Do you make any adjustments to the facings based on the stretch factor of the fabric?

Thank you for this tutorial! Can you redraw necklines on patterns this way as well? Thank you again!
Yes you totally can!
Awesome, thank you!
Can you make the facing less wide? Or what if working with say t-shirt fabric? How would you finish the neckline?
A 2 inch wide facing is standard. You can make it smaller if u want. A t shirt has a binding on it.
@@SewAnastasia do you have a video on how to make and sew on binding?
Excellent tutorial ❤️❤️❤️

Basically you need to blend it into the neckline at any point that you want.

@@jasminesp6281 💕 Happy altering :)
This video is awesome 😎 thanks
Glad you liked it!
Looks amazing honey ❤
🥰🥰🥰 Thank you Rose
could this apply to a scoop neck?
Totally!
THANK YOU SO MUCH~!
Totally 💯 Happy 🧵 sewing
What type of fabric did you use? Cotton ?
I used a cotton chambray
@@SewAnastasia could I use regular cotton quilting fabric
@@cherylfavreau3517 totally!
Beautiful ❤
@@SewAnastasiacan you do this with knit fabrics like polyester and T shirt cotton?
Genius
💕😊
It's very hard to see what you're doing with the very dark color.
Maybe you can turn up your brightness?
Too complicated
First neck line drawn seems to be completely useless.
Huh?
Just her process I think 🤔 Everybody seems to do it a little differently. Love her videos though she knows what she's doing! 💙
How rude…
Nice job except that it is too low in the front. Modesty is a virtue. Women today dress.....
@@marwar819 You can choose any neckline you want on your dress!
