I've been putting off finishing a neckline with bias binding for 2 weeks because I always find the neckline to be tricky. But this informative, detailed but simple method shown, has given me the confidence to finish it off. Thank you for a great video.
You have no idea how many videos I have watched just to try to learn the best way to hem armholes, your video was the only one that said everything without even saying something!😅 Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This lady is a proper seamstress, no ironing, not alot of pins, and she makes it easy. But there are lots of other channels that are just showing off with all their gadgets and fake smiley thumbnails, they are sooo irritating.
Also on my next tank top, I’m definitely going to try this trick of sewing the bias on BEFORE I close the side seam….looks much easier than working with a full circle :)
Thank you Thuy for sharing. I have always finished with a facing which are annoying to wear as they sometimes come out. I have tried other binding finishes unsuccessfully and tried yours today which turned out beautifully. This will be my new way of making necklines and armholes. Very happy 😊
Hello! I have learned so much ever since I discovered your channel. Thank you so much for your clear and easy-to-follow tutorials. I'm going to try sewing a linen blouse for myself!
Thank you for sharing this video. You are a great teacher for me. When you make a video tutorial. You make it slow and simple. It's make me easy to following your tutorial. Thank you very much ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful clean styled and EASY - just keep that sewing foot in the same place (ie tip of curve of one of the feet) and let it be your guide for straight lines. Yhanks so much.
Thank you for sharing this video. I really see the difference how to add this bias’s tape.. I rather do the second choice before we sew the side of the blouses 👚 sleeve. I find it’s more easy and see how the arm hole is to big or just right to sew it together. Thank you so much.💕💕💕
Your videos are a joy to watch! The cutting, sewing is easily understood. Hope I get some soon time to start executing all that i learnt from your videos!
I WISH I would have found this tutorial sooner!!! Sooo straight to the point and realistic. She didn’t make it look like you just zoom through no problem- she took her time folding and holding small sections…much more realistic and helpful!
Best video I've seen yet! I've been working on a sleep sack for my son, but I've been dreading sewing on the neck bias.. you make it look so easy it makes me want to go finish that 🤣
Hi Thuy your bias video was amazing!!😃 thank you so much for your simplicity in showing us how to do the bias binding. So helpful, so clear😀 now I'm sure I can do it thanks to your video😊
hi thank you so much for your video. it was very useful and helpful!!! Learnt to make the neckline which I find very tricky. Need to ask you about the armhole. I did exactly what you did. Now I need to find out how you sew the sides of blouse together and how to sew the ends of the bias tape together.
you can watch these videos for more details in my channel here 🥰: ruclips.net/video/WM5C_bGvQtI/видео.htmlsi=PBCKu30VjLjE8a0n ruclips.net/video/-alfxcr6EWU/видео.htmlsi=wz8DuAW9VumW7N4S
Hi Thuy! Your videos are very informative and clear. I have learnt a lot from you. Now regarding this video, I think it would give a neater finish if you finished off with sewing by hand instead of machining around the neck and arm-holes. I usually do a hem-stitch (by hand) to finish off and it looks neat.
I missed d days i used to help my mother, she was also a dressmaker. She taught me that way too and to make sure that the sewn portion of the bias tape should fall on the shoulders so it cannot be seen in front or at back part of the neckline. Maybe this suggestion help us all
Hi, what a beautiful color linen. Thank you for this fantastic tutorial. Can this technique be used for all shapes of necklines? What if you have a V neck? Thank you so much.
Love ypur tutorials ❤ May you show us how to make a camisole dress to layer over a Tshirt and a tunic dress to wear over leggings? I have seen some tutorials but none of them is clear like yours. Thanks in advance 🍀🌻🌷
How clever to let the stretch in the bias tape pull the facing over and fold under to create a finished armhole! Do you find that not ironing the cloth while you are sewing the garment makes a difference in how the fabric falls, drapes in the finished garment? Does the simplicity of this design make that less likely to happen?
I still iron the fabric in some necessary cases but in this way it doesn't really affect the result, because I sewed an extra thread inside the fold, sorry if my English is not correct😀♥
Thankyou somuch for the video ,i cannot begin to explain how much i wanted to know about this method. Glad i found u and now i knw this method. It is safe to say "Now i can die peacefully"😂😂.
Hi, on the final step before folding the bias tape. What's the final width of your strip? when you cut it... what width are you looking for? and then do you do .8cm seam allowance? Thank you

I have already sewn the sideseams on the armholes. I guess I can do the armholes the same as the neckline in that case?
You can check out my new bias tape neckline and armhole tutorial videos in the best way in my other channel "thuy sewing"🥰
Thuy, What Brand and Model is your sewing machine ?
thanks.
