    Another good video with many good points, thanks.
    My main contention would be Kang, because I wonder if you dislike him for a different reason than you think you do...
    If someone likes the built-in variability of scenarios like Dark Beast and Mister Sinister, then they shouldn't have any issues with playing Kang solo. You don't lose much compared to multiplayer IMO.
    But I think the real issue someone might have with Kang is that he specialises more than any other villain in using Obligation cards. And all of them want you to flip down to deal with them. So if you don't like flipping down, then maybe THAT'S why you really dislike him.
    (As a player who enjoys flipping, I enjoy him.)

    I saw a custom challenge with a special rule to make Wrecking Crew interesting, where they are not defeated until all of them are defeated (just like four hoursemen).
    Add a little extra challenge adding a different nemesis modular set to each one of the villains deck.

    • @pietrorasputin52
      @pietrorasputin52 Месяц назад +2

      I don't like that because what I enjoy about the Wrecking Crew is the fact that you can eliminate members fo the crew from the board for the rest of the scenario and they don't keep coming back or staying undefeated.
      To me, Wrecking Crew has it 100% right in giving you the feeling that you're actually making progress with them and actually able to take them off the board one by one, for the rest of the scenario.
      It's an awesome design and makes me feel more rewarded than any other multi-villain scenario they've come up with since.

    May I ask what is the errata regarding Magneto's main scheme card(s)? You mentioned it in the video but I couldn't find anything on the topic on Hall of Heroes , MarvelCDB or in the 1.5 RR. Thanks!

      Probably that, as written, you first resolve the magnetic card before removing counters. But if the magnetic card puts another magnet counter on the main scheme, the ability would trigger again and you'd need to resolve another magnetic card. This is not how it should work though, you should remove the magnet counters before resolving the magnetic card.

    • @caseydeere1525
      @caseydeere1525 Месяц назад +1

      I just asked on stream. The errata is: You now remove the magnet counters before discarding for a magnetic card. With some of the magnetic cards, you could get caught in an infinite loop of adding more and more magnetic counters before discarding them due to the response so now it happens before. Not a huge chance but :)

    Multiplayer, our group really liked Wrecking Crew --how you try to lock them down, but then they activate each other. I think my favorite thing about WC is how it feels like, for the whole game, from the opening hand, you're trying to make a final push on a villain. And you have a little risk/reward on threat because if you kill one, his scheme goes away --along with all the threat. There aren't many scenarios where you feel rewarded for succeeding in part of it. Hybrid decks like Gamora and Spider Woman really shine here. If you have a good protection deck, you can totally switch the order you want to take them on. Super fun for our group.

    Great video! I have to agree about Dork Beast, but I'd push him to the bottom of "I Enjoy" for me because he has grown on me the more I've played him on expert. Probably my favorite of these random modular set villains for just having a fun game and love him with mixing in Sauron encounter set from Iceman. However, I still have a tough time with Four Horseman solo, so I don't see how they are so easy yet :) They are my favorite multi villain scenario, and I find Sinister Six too easy even in expert, but I guess to each their own :) Mutagen Formula is definitely a top tier scenario and holds up well. Magneto is the goat as well :) Love Thanos too and top tier fun for me as well!

    Pretty much agree with your list. Only changes I'd make for me personally is moving Juggernaut, Taskmaster, Crossbones, and Mysterio up to I Enjoy and moving Venom and Apocalypse 2 up to the bottom of Most Fun. I also had a few weird games with solo Four Horsemen where I found them more difficult in solo than multiplayer until I just rushed them down lol...very weird scenario.

    My confidence with this game has sky rocketed; I sure hope so since I've been playing almost every night for the passed few weeks. I remember back in the day, I was too afraid to go up against Goblin/Mutagen Formula and Ultron. But now? Those two villains have been shuffled up more times than the other villains in my collection. Yes they're hard; but like you said, they're also fair in how they play. The only difficulty I deal with is which hero to play lol

      @@stephenball2108 I play him solo every once in a while and I think he's fine. Yes, he's significantly more interesting in multiplayer, but solo just means he's a 3 stage villain with a random stage 2. Not terribly exciting, but nothing that would deem him one of the worst in the game imo.

    • @awesomeanimal
      @awesomeanimal Месяц назад

      I think you could probably play MM without Magneto. He's mostly there to help with minions. Hope is a little trickier since some cards attack hope or deal damage to allies, meaning you have to keep her alive. I think the easiest house rule for her is that she has null stats.

      17:13 I think it's the Forced Response that only moves the active marker when the Sinister Six damage you, not every time they attack. I might be wrong though, I don't think the other way to interpret that makes any sense.

  • @bryantstewart8280

    Could you elaborate, or pin a video, where you explain how to properly play sinister six And the problem with magnetos opening scenario? I know you’ve probably addressed these, but I would greatly appreciate the clarification.
    Thank you for your videos.

    • @D20Woodworking
      @D20Woodworking  Месяц назад +2

      So sinister six only moves their counter if they attack and damage you. What’s frustrating is that we are told you do each sentence of what the game says but this is a case of if you didn’t the first sentence don’t do the second sentence.
      Magneto originally played (before the errata) that when you hit 3 magnet counters you discard to a magnetic card comes out. This could create a crazy loop effect and just keep surging on itself. So you are supposed to discard the magnets first. Then draw the card.

    This is an unpopular opinion, but bar none, my least favorite scenario of all time at this point is Hela. Hela is just pure pain for me.
