Thanks for a peak behind the curtain! You’re busting it my guy, keep pushing that flywheel and before you know it things will take off and seem to almost spin by itself.
It didn't help that your computer crapped out on you. Even though it slowed you down a little, you still found ways to make some videos with you're back up computer. It's that level of dedication that keeps me coming back time and time again. It was cool seeing how much subscribers you made; you've basically doubled your viewership! It's also cool that you're branching out and doing different things. Your bread and butter is and will forever be Marvel Champions, but watching you play other board games and video games keeps your channel fresh. It also helped that Marvel Rivals came out recently and is an amazing game to watch. Here's hoping that 2025 will bring in more subscribers and more D20 shenanigans.
Interesting stuff! I've been doing RUclips since September and have been thinking of doing board game content at some point. It should mix in with let's plays, I hope.
Very interesting. Does that mean a larger channel, say with 100 times your subs and watch hours and all that would make 100 times as much money? Does it ratio like that?
So. Kinda. Their subs don’t matter at all really. The only way it kinda does is theoretically their new video would be pushed to more people generally speaking. But not all of them and not all the time. Watch hours and views is trickier. So RUclips has a bidding system for ads. So if a video is like the most popular thing in the world. You could make like 20-30 or 40 dollars per 1,000 views. And then depends on how long the video is and how many other ads can run during it. If you get the same amount of views as that popular video but it’s stretch out for 2 years. You get less ad revenue because the bidding amount on it won’t be as high. Hopefully that kinda makes sense
Super interesting. I'd be curious to also know about th sponsorship/brand deal opportunities that you might get as you grow your channel. I feel like this is where the bulk of the money is made for small to medium content creators.
At my size (as of writing this) there are very little. The two I have received are pretty niche to my space and over time the one I just built that relationship over years. So I think the size helps and you can make some money from it but it's mostly affiliate link stuff. So it's not just straight cash or anything.

Appreciate it dude! Thank you very much for the kind words and the continued support!
Thank you for this, D20!
Very interesting, thanks for the peek behind the curtain and being transparent. Have fun at the Bible study party tonight.

Absolutely if it interests you!

I'm interested on how much actual woodworking do you do.
Nowadays, very little. Don't have as much time for it anymore.

How many hours of work ? My friend who have a channel on board game always says that he do it out of passion, not for the money :).
Average about 40-50 hours a week. And yeah some can just do it to do it for sure. Whatever works for people.
@@D20Woodworking keep your good work, you sure do it out of passion and I applaud you for that. Have a nice day :).
Ooooo so close to 9K! Wild how much you've grown but also I mean... YOU WORKKKKK.
Thank you! Appreciate it
How much does it pay? It doesn't.
RUclips: "How do you feel about this bag of peanuts? This is what we can offer...."
