Strike missions is all I do on ECW. That's the fun part.
Su-25 is actually extremely OP (don't tell enigma)
Roland engages aircraft only below 6km and su 25 with guided missiles can launch them well above 6km and outside the range then just fly level to lase the target. You can use this to engage sams or engaging targets without engaging sams.
To do this, take up to 4 guided missiles, and climb to 6km+ after take off. Around 15-20km from target, lase your target, then point your nose at laser to fire off missile with launch override. You can launch level, however the missile won't see your laser, hence the necessary dive.
Then just go back level and/or above 6km and maintain course until hit. The laser will stay on target even if it overheats (soviet laser overclocking?). You can hide from enemy interceptors in clouds if available
You do need some basic scouting though, not necessarily markers from recon jets or troops, but even visual recon with a basic marker on a map would be enough to know where to point your laser
Very good to know! I will need to give it a go. I love going after targets with A10s and their mavericks, but really good to know this is an option on Red too.
@@Dr_Jebus I recommend you to make a simple singleplayer mission just to practice with aiming and flying at the same time, you need to lock on around the area and then your sight movement switches to fine movement mode so you can nail it on target.
Took me a couple tries, practice runs in SP highly recommended!

Cheers! And yeah, I think the main thing to keep the community healthy is to help new folk find their footing. It is such a fantastic game, but the learning curve is intimidating. ECW makes it even more epic but even more for new folk to learn, so trying to ease that. Help people take the plunge, so to speak.

How do i find ecw?
Make sure you are using the Open Beta version and search for 'Enigma' in the browser. Or just order by players, ECW is normally one of the most populated
