Is there any reason to take a Hind over a Hip?

I fly the a10's alone and some times a few others. But the flaming cliff 3 a10a is an absolute joy to fly. I would prefer not dropping that plane.

I wish I had a better idea of what to do as a helo pilot on contention, and also how to do it. They have a guide with a rough idea what can and cant be done but it still isn't very clear to me how and when to do those things. Even something a simple as carrying crates to factories.

today i tried the Training Missions for the new FC3 MiG-15 and Tiger. Those Models are really great. Very good for Beginners and people who just want to have a quick fun session. Sadly i couldnt find any MP-Server which supports those.

Not a cash grab but a weak update IMO. Bonus for those that have FC3. They added FC level aircraft from modules we already have in FF. HUGE mistake IMO not to add new airframes. Mig 23,25,27,31,35 Su22,24,34 French-British-Swede-Chinese airframes imagine if they did the Japanese F2, Korean KF21 or Indian Tejas. Others mentioned pistons not my jam but agree there needs to be more FC WW2 or just kill that product. We already have so many US airframes but a F117,105,106 would be good FC3 IMO but far below other country airframes which are behind Redfor prioritization.

Nice review, this one is definitely on my list for replacing my T16000M hotas. What do you use for zoom view in DCS? I now use the radar elevation pinky axis on my throttle which is very smooth. Looks like this radar elevation axis is not as smooth, would you think it would be suitable for zoom view? (I use it as an axis to set it just the way I want and leave it there for different scenarios)

Very good review, I came from an X-52Pro/X-56 set up and I've replaced my broken stick with the F-16ex, and liked it so much I got the throttle with the standard F-15e grips. I agree with the niggles, especially the unlock mechanism for the throttle grips, I think they can make some improvements there, other than that after 8 months of use, I do love the setup I have, even the software I have learned how to use fairly well. and dialed in the different after burner settings for each aircraft.

Thank you for your videos on this campaign. This is my first campaign in DCS and would be very frustrated without your help.

I bought this some time ago, before DCS Harrier became available. I was hoping for something like Super VGA Harrier with a nice campaign but more modern graphics. But the pace of the development was painfully slow. Also, I had the impression the (one man ?) development team prioritized the wrong goals. E.g. updates on graphics, but the AI and the dynamic campaign piece were either very basic or completely missing. The description on STEAM was (and maybe still is) misleading: features like the dynamic campaign are described as "existing, maybe not 100% implemented". But if I recall correctly there was not even a basic campaign. Let's see what the new partner brings to CAP2. I still see some potential if compared to DCS.

Oh that F1 was me. Thanks for the nice fight. It was really challenging to keep an eye on both of you and not be in your sidewinders window. I tried to turn as hard as i could to dodge that vertical one. That sortie I had a bug (or selfmade problem) with the Magics or SW. There was no way to get a lock so i decided on hit and run with guns and keep you guys away from CAS. I got gun hits on both of you and was very surprised even if i know about the surviveability of the A10. See you on the server!

I see that some people have quite a success in warbirds on Contention server. I have never flown a warbird. Any warbird modules you would recommend for Contention server or maybe I will just stick to my Hind, Gazelle, M2000C, Mirage F1, F-16, MIG 29/ 21/19/15? Thanks !

I enjoyed that, especially the twist at the end there. I believethe devs were heaviliy influenced by this (hope the link works) : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/190th_Fighter_Squadron,_Blues_and_Royals_friendly_fire_incident There's a HUD video/recording of the event and its really similar to what you've experienced during the mission. In the end, this is sadly realistic. These things do and did happen.

I'm still trying to work out how to setup brakes (With the latest update, it now has more options with no explanation ) on a logitech 3d extreme pro, it was easier using a xbox controller... And Trim is messed up some how, i trim and it keeps moving in that direction, tap opposite trim and it keeps moving in that direction, SO annoying...

For some reason i thought that Contention had side locking, so it was off my radar for a while because i didnt want to commit to a side. Definitely going to check it out now

A-10 might be JUST fast enough to be able to do hit and run attacks against most WWII fighters though later war props could probably chase it down if their engines are cool enough at the start and the Me-262 could probably run circles around it (applies to P-80, Meteor, and He-162 for that matter), and an Me-163 with fuel remaining would just be death.

Anti-skid spoilers on, dont slam the on brakes only use 1/3 braking pressure. Touch down at about 125knots assuming you're clean.
