Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. Personality Disorders are usually pervasive and only if she understood how unwell she is and IF she wanted to change her whole self would she be able. Inherit to PD’s is that most aren’t able to have much of any insight. They insist it is the other/the others/the world who is wronging them. Sadly the likelihood for Amber to ever heal is slimmer than her continuing without even ever getting that she brings this on all to herself.

How many more times do they have to ask about bruises, scratches etc on her Body or face!? Every Witness says the same thing, NO NOTHING!
That's kind of the point, they want to establish from as many people as possible in as many instances as possible that they never saw any injuries on her, and this testimony is probably the most important in that regard because Ms. James regularly saw her without makeup, putting on makeup, and even in a state of undress, so she would know better than anyone.

This Kate James is one tough cookie. Great witness, she answers what she knows to be true in short answers and never goes on about things she can not possibly know about for certainty. She describes her employee/employer relationship in a very balanced manner and states her exact and factual feelings about how and why she was fired.

I would recommend your own due diligence to determine it for yourself, these are just my opinion based on what was known so far.
I should probably reread the articles just to make sure if I'm off or not from my own understanding.

I greatly appreciate how Kate James refuses to allow Heard's lawyer to mischaracterize or corner her testimony by clever or deceptive framing.
The fact that she denied her a pay raise even though she clearly could afford it and its not like she didn't want to use Johnnys money as all her friends and family was sponging off him just shows her demeanour is mean, nasty, controlling.
This personal assistant reminds me of Emily Blunt on Devil wears Prada. Looks and attitude. Love it

It's crazy how Ambers testified that Kate James was a drunk and horrible. Shows how vindictive and vengeful Amber is. She was so ticked off by Kate revealing the truth that she had not only get even but to up the ante and try to fully discredit her. Just shows how evil and calculating Amber is. And she's like "no" I just find it so entertaining, the lawyer keeps digging himself into this hole, expecting that she's going to say something in favor of Amber Heard and she just keeps on being like "No I was not paid to be there on a Sunday. I only asked if she was okay because that's what was expected of me." Basically it's pretty clear she doesn't like Amber and I have no idea why her lawyers thought it was good to have her testify. It's like they didn't even bother to ask Amber how she treated this lady and if they did she lied through her teeth. I honestly can't find a feasible reason to ask someone who does not like you to testify in your favor.

The total change in her demeanor when she talks about Johnny vs amber. She lit up while talking about his interaction with her son. Nothing about amber being nice to either her or her son. And how she described Ambers treatment of her sister! The defense is going to have a hard time making her a sympathetic figure.

She worked for 10 years on £25 dollars an hour even when she was working full time. The £50k that Amber was angry Kate was asking for - was supposed to be the new salary given her ongoing full time responsibilities. So in her mind, I’m sure it was partly making up for all the years she had been underpaid. Even though 50k, for a job of that profile and range of responsibilities, including out of hours responsibilities and ad hoc duties needed at the drop of a hat - is paltry.
The bit about the interactions Depp had with her son says it all. Depp is a kind and caring person, probably more so than a great majority of people. I suppose it is unfortunately the case that people like that often fall victim to their polar opposites
