I bought a Z fc with this lens 2nd hand for US625 with a filter. The firmware was version 1.0 on the Zac. I upgraded this to version 1.41. Oops the camera didn’t recognise the lens. I connected the USB port to a computer and upgraded the lens firmware. The lens now works perfectly.
If you were doing a youtube channel where you had this lens on a tripod for an indoors setup and shooting in manual I wonder how this compares to the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm manual lens
Yes I suggested this on that video. It is the best lens, it’s fantastic. I paid for it too. It cost me £350 I think. What the heck is wrong with the mic? The Z30 mic should sound spot on in these situations. Was it shot on the Z50?
hey man, so I bought this lens but when I connect it to my Nikon Z30 it doesn't work on Auto mode for shooting videos or even take photos. Even on Amy modes like P, S, A or M. However lens shows the scene but does not record when I click. Is there any particular settings I must work on when mounted the lens to the Nikon Z30?
does anyone know how to fix my camera problem it's a nikon d5200 when the lens is not in the body it works properly the battery is full and everything but when i put the lense the battery has low batt and an error coming up saying "turn camera off and on again".
I have both (the Sigma on my G9). I actually prefer this one. Both very good. This has an aperture ring which with any camera without a dedicated on body aperture dial is a massive boon you do not realise until you use it. So easy just to change the aperture on the lens when in aperture priority.
There is no stabilisation. So it will suck. But the lens is so wide, you can hold it fairly steady. A bit of post stabilisation in Final Cut and sorted.
Yes, especially on lower z models, as they also don't have in body stabilization and only digital. Nikon's lenses have stabilization, so that's a trade off.

Just got a Nikon z30 a couple days ago with the kit lens but I’m definitely gonna grab these lens next👌🏼
You should maybe do some night or city photography videos with it!
i have problem with viltrox af 13/1.4 z after update nikon z50 firmware 2.5 anyone have a solution about that?
