Wow, Viltrox is doing what Nikon refuses to do.
A sharp, fast and bright "20"mm lens, featuring the "fuji-look" with its aperture ring and metal housing.
If I could afford, this would be my reason to finally buy me that Zfc!

They seem to be neglecting their APS-C users when it comes to lens selection.

Wow, that is incredible value for such a nice looking, autofocus, f/1.4 Z-mount lens. This looks like a must-buy for any Nikon Z DX users.

Viltrox does everything right this days! Bring all the potential DX lenses Nikon does not bring. But as a Z9 user, now you have to bring a 14mm for fullframe to make me happy. Or share your mount data with sigma and tamron ;). Another great video chris
@S Tra I've used my first viltrox lens for nikon z on my z6 and was very impressed by iq and overall performance. The time, that everything out of china is crap is over. And for now, there are so much lenses nikon does not provide like a ultrawideangle prime. So if you have not use a z9 or a viltrox lens, keep your high quality comments to your own ;).
@S Tra Oh, this was a very interesting decision if I should anwer you or not, becauce it is so ridiculous. But whatever. I have and had several cheap and expensive lenses in my bag. Do I say, that these chinese manufactors produce the best lenses ever? No, I do not. But I am impressed by the improvement these manufactors have been gone. And the change of these lenses in terms of buildquality and and IQ is very well presented in Chris videos.
Ten years ago nobody "professionel" had to recommend a lens from Tamron or Sigma.
So I dont know, why you watch his content or this video if you think this is all crap. And I dont care if you like my pictures or if you dont ;). This is all subjective. And let me promise to you, no one will force you to buy an expensive camera or a cheap lens. So do your thing, let the folks on this channel their own personal opinion and everything will be fine ;).

damn that's somewhat irritating that they excluded a gasket at the mount for the Fuji version. but despite that, it truly is a great piece of glass!

I hope they release it for Canons ef-m mount or the rf mount. It would be seriously interesting to see how it performs on such a high resolution sensor.
I hope they will bring an RF version of this lens, now that the R10 and R7 are available!

Not sure why I'm watching this, because I have it for Fuji already. Love it. It's super fun, but I am a little annoyed that we didn't get weather sealing on the older release.

RF mount when
I'm seriously considering replacing my Samyang 12mm F/2 AF with this despite the extra weight and size. Especially in light of the Samyangs compatibility problems with the Fuji X-S10. This Viltrox 13mm just keeps on impressing. I love every little photo and video clip I see from this lens, regardless which body it's paired with. Does anyone know if the Fuji version will be updated with a weather sealing gasket?
Hi Chris! What firmware version did you use on your Viltrox 13mm f/1.4? I updated mine to version 1.0.3 and the lens is not working properly now.
Does this lens perform the same as 33mm lens? In tems of sharpness and colour fringing?

Is it just the video editing or does this lens have a strangely low color saturation (how would that even be possible?)? The images look rather flat and pale.
