Thanks for this….I over seeded my lawn and I’m trying to get the stripping down as I have a large island in my yard…..I see my neighbors already know what they are doing, and I call that “adult peer pressure” lol….thanks again
Used to cut for 3 years at a cemetery and just started cutting residential and its so much more difficult to not rail beds with grass and also I always mess my line up around the tree
Can you show how this works with the time master with side discharge? Turning left around trees would blow out all the mulch in the tree bed. The method you showed only works for mulching/bagging/reel mowing
any advice on how to strip when you hit a border like a chain link fence? i mow my lawn north to south and have a fence separating my front and back yard that runs east and west. Having a hard time figuring a good way to strip it all the way up to the fence. maybe its not possible with the mower and i need to use a lawn roller or something? just seeing if you had any ideas. Thanks!
Awesome video Jimmy! I’m starting to get ruts from going around my tree beds with the mower so much, what can I do to fill them in? Is that like a lawn leveling thing with sand? Thank you!!
I live in a poor neighborhood..this is going to be interesting..either my lawn design will get me some nods or I’m going to be killed on the last strip..wish me luck guys.
Great job, do you recommend alternating striped patterns each mow? And if so do you start to get a checkaboard effect? Otherwise do you maintain the same pattern and try to burnish into the grass over over
Thank you. I do recommend alternating your patterns. Occasionally I'll go over the same pattern consecutively, but majority of the time I'm mowing in different directions.
Those stripes look amazing, but that flag waving in the wind..... that right their is what brings tears to the eyes. Prefect camera shot of old glory and I'm loving it
Wouldn't it be easier when deciding which side of the obstacle to mow on, to simply go toward the unmowed side? Why worry about light stripe vs dark stripe since the direction you are mowing in will always be the light stripe as you a mowing it.
The pass before you would have to actually go around the tree, make a loop around it so the next stripe you go right around the tree.. kinda hard to explain but it’ll make the stripes look like they go right through the tree
I have heard just about every lawn tip multiple times on youtube but this is a new one for me! Thanks Jimmy!
You definitely figured it out. I sometimes get lost when doing double doubles with no obstacles lol. Lawn looks great :)
Double double patterns are rarely mowed in my front yard 😂
Grass so perfect doesn’t look real, don’t think I’ve ever seen such wonderful lawn anywhere here
Good video and this becomes even more fun when you have to trim on the left side of your deck... can still be done but takes even more planning
Good job sir.
This is your content gold.
Stay with these type videos. !!!!
Thanks for the video Jimmy, now I will think about this next time I mow.

On a zero turn
Great video, little man “helping” cut the grass was the cherry on top!
Great tip Jimmy. Lawn is looking fantastic 👍🏻
Option number 2, remove all obstacles! 🤣
That’s what I’m saying lol
I like that option
Option #3: Mow THROUGH all obstacles.
I saw a guy mowing a branch today, no joke..😂
Bro finna remove a whole ass tree
Impressive! Thanks for the tips!
Great tip. I’ve always wondered how to accomplish this
Glad it was helpful!
Throwing down some lunch, catching another of Jimmy's videos. Great tips as always.
Those canon colors look real good at golden hour 👍
I'm really happy with that camera.

First Aussie 😁. Jimmy, great advice, your front lawn is looking a treat , good to see you’re wearing your safety pluggers . 😎👍👍
Thank you my Aussie friend!
Good tip, but the best part was the little helper at the end.
I think so too!

Very helpful. Thank you.
Appreciate the wisdom, brother! 🤜⚡🤛
Great video, but this is why i pulled my trees out when i did the renovation haha. A small yard cant compete with obstacles and have stripes.
Hi jimmy, just wondering is toro gm1000 not hard to maneuver? I’m thinking about getting one. Your lawn looks great. Thanks brother
Awesome Thanks !
Thanks for the tips!
If i go left around the tree ill rail the bed cuz thats where the shoot is so i always have to be thinking to turn right at trees/ beds
Great video and tip!
Thank you!
Beautiful

Thoughts and prayers 😅
😂😂😂😂
Very helpful, thanks!!

Nice boat
You got them handles 😂👌🏻
Great tips!

What’s the make and model of the mower in this video?
Toro Greensmaster 1600
New sub here!!
Simpler solution is to not put obstacles in the middle of your lawn in the first place. You wirk hard on your lawn so show it off better. 😁👍
I agree
Didn’t even watch 1 second of the video, literally and i don’t “know” the way to do it, but I already know how I could do it. Common kids..
Pro tip: always wear flip flops when operating machinery capable of slicing off your toes 😉😜🤓
or grab some tanerite and move the obsticale yourself! (with a felony charge probably)
The grass: 😃
The flower beds: 💀
i mean yes but you can just come back and do a clean-up pass, saves time, and is way less thought.
4:29 you are cheating, your kid is burning in stripes.
183!
Your grass is too long. But that's ok
First.
🏆
There’s a much easier way to do it
You want to elaborate or nah?

Kind of how you did the bed
thank you! what kind of mower is that? you're lawn is stunning
Thank you. That is a Toro Greensmaster 1600
Dude you got some issues man😂😂there’s meds for that stuff! Make it easy on yourself Get rid of the trees and the kidney!!!
Dont like stripes and the lawn co that cuts my lawn knows not to do it.
