I have tried the codes that you put on this video as well as a #10 found on another site. I cannot get it to change to a new code. Bought this safe from a neighbor that was moving and have no manual. I just bought a safe, Thanksgiving weekend, a Liberty safe, got it , brought it into the house set in place, read the Manuel and set my combination, ran it several times to make sure I had it right and did it with the door open, I was afraid to put my guns in just yet and still wanted to make sure all was ok, I go to finish bolting to the floor two weeks latter and my combination does not work, now they want $25 dollars to send me information on how to reset my safe, can you give me any pointers on what else to do?

      unclebellys Hello, sorry we missed this. My first thought would be to replace the battery and make sure it’s a Duracell brand, only, standard copper top. I recommend a big box home improvement store because they sell batteries more than other big box stores, so they always have fresh batteries. I hope this helps!

      Do you know which model keypad you have? I don't know that there is a setting for that. Most locks offer ample time to enter your code, turn the handle and pull. Of course they automatically lock, but so long as the handle is turned it's fine.

    I have an SG that looks like yours, what has a single lever instead of a three handled wheel. When I try to lock mine, it won't do it. I found a little switch on the hinge side and push that in, and when I lock the handle and throw the bolt, and enter 22* when I re-enter the 123456# it acts like I'm opening the safe instead of letting me reprogram. What am I doing wrong?

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  22 дня назад

      @@renovacman I believe what you’re describing is a detent on the back side (aka hinge side) of the door which is in place so you don’t slam the door with the bolts out. Your safe (or your keypad anyway) must be at least 10 years old or older. Read the following aloud a few times and then begin. Move at a steady pace - not slow and not too fast. Same rules apply : door open, bolts out, 7 4 * , Existing Combination #, you should hear 5 beeps, 1 * , should hear 3 beeps, new six digit combo # , should hear 3 beeps, new six digit combo # , should hear 3 beeps. Now test your new six digit combo and turn the handle.

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for stopping by. If you open the door and try to throw the bolts out with no luck then you probably have a detent. Typically a detent is placed on the back side of the door or the bottom of the door, this will be a piece of metal sticking out like a bolt. Typically it’s got a black/red plastic cap or coating on the end. It’s sticking out like the bolts however, you’ll notice is tremendously smaller then a bolt. After locating the detent….door is open, depress the detent & at the same time rotate the handle/spindle to throw the bolts out in order to begin. It’s there to avoid throwing the bolts and slamming the door which would damage then paint (potentially the bolts, too).

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  2 года назад

      Ok, that could so many things. Do you normally try to throw the bolts with the door open? What safe and model is this, what year was it manufactured? Manufactures often use things like bars on the hinge side or at the bottom that have to be depressed (like when the door is shut) to avoid throwing bolts with the door open, so you don’t slam the door - damaging the bolts or scratching the paint. Do you have a keypad or mechanical lock, if keypad then I recommend a fresh new Duracell 9V from a big box home improvement store (they sell batteries faster and restock more often then other stores).

I tried the programming in the manual and it didn’t work. It was a *74 program sequence. The *22 sequence you mention here works to reset the code but how do I set the other 8 user codes?

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  3 года назад

      What model number is on the sticker on the box or the sticker on the lock? If the *22 sequence works you can download the Titan instructions off S&G’s website. That should walk you through it. Call me with any questions, though.

      If the lock is a 6120 then the instructions it came with should work to add users. Otherwise I would do an online search for S&G 6120 instructions, which would walk you through it very easily. And of course refer back to whomever you purchased it from to confirm the lock you purchased matches the receipt.

      Hello, James! We’re sorry to hear about your stepdad. Honestly without the code or a locksmith drilling it open it rather shortens your list of options. With a death certificate and a court appointed power of attorney you could reach out to Liberty safe to see about getting in. To be honest, this is IF your stepdad registered the safe warranty. Then potentially you’d only be paying for a locksmith to come on site and Liberty would assist them with opening the safe without drilling. I hope this helps!
