I also did the vxl-3s with 2 pole 3500 Velineon + SCT410.3, but I was able to fit a 16 tooth for some reason. Temps have been fine up to 15 min on a track, but added cooling. Motor is in good condition and it pulls well.
It's like a car wreck... You don't want to look, but you just have to! Honestly, can't wait for the next video to see this thing run!

Just adding a tip here. When you get a crack on your rc body, drill a 1/8th inch hole with a drill bit at each end of the crack. This will stop the crack from getting longer. Then shoe goo.Thats how aircraft mechanics used to stop cracks on airplanes.

Same with my son, got tired of his slash ultimate always going home broken, sold it and just bought a used sct410 and couple of used 410.3’s and never could be happier.. i thrown a dynamite motor/esc combo not sensored on his 410 and seldom breaks..tekno plastic parts are beefy

Finally!!!!! some short course content!🤪🤩🤩🙃.....If it's the Gen 1, VXL, 2 pole motor, I'd say don't bother running it any races just There a pretty weak motor, speaking from experience....Now the VXL 4 pole Gen 2 motors are legit bashing motors. Put that in....But in a race, ohhhhh🤔🤔🤔... that's the question 🤣👍🤘👊✌️

Hi Mark, longtime watcher! Great content. I have a question about slash 4x4, does my slipper supposed to move forward and backwards? It moves about half way off of my Motor gear.
My son raced his sc6.1 and i threw a 2075 out of his basher slash and 2 races in the output shaft snapped off at the bearing lol thank god i had a extra one lol. Those servos are shit without that gigantic servo saver lol slow as hell too

I just built my Tekno410.3 and all i have at my disposal is the HOSS VXL AND 540XL motor. I have not run it yet but what size pinion do you think i need? It has a 5mm shaft. I’ve got 16 and 20 tooth and I plan to race it on 2s

*he keeps breaking it everytime* the 3s plastic driveshafts are junk only the maxx 4s shafts are reliable. Stop remplacing those driveshafts and upgrade to tekno dogbones kit for the slash 4x4 i saw mips and even traxxas cvds shafts snap like twiggs for the money you psy they should not fail. For me dogbonnes are the best driveshafts
