My husband’s name is Julio. When I first met my husband I was so in love with him, I was looking for any song that had his name in it and this was the only one I came across. I instantly loved it. I’m embarrassed to say this is how I actually discovered Paul Simon, and now I am a huge fan of all of his music. 🎼🖤
There are a lot of great artists out right now they are just harder to find because there is so much music out there and we aren't reliant on radio anymore. With that being said, Paul is in a class of his own.

Wow, I know no one will read this but, this song helped me get through a lot. It’s my favorite song, and it’s in my favorite movie. When I was little I loved the Muppets 2011, and I recently rewatched it. I was in a really big funk and it lit up the rest of my day. This song stood out. It’s now my happy song, I listen to it and everything feels, okay. Thank you.
This song reminds me of growing up in San Antonio, Texas in the early 70's with my many siblings. Boy, we were a handful! There was an elementary school at the end of the block with a schoolyard that we used to go play at all the time. Happy, wonderful times that I will always treasure. Of course, just like the song goes, every time that I acted up Papi used to threaten to put me in the House of Detention. He passed away in January and Boy do I miss him! Rest in peace Papi!. Thank you Paul for this Great Song!
He only had to compete with Helen Reddy, Chicago, The Hollies, The Raspberries, Neil Young, The O' Jays, Three Dog Night, Gallery, The Moody Blues, America, Harry Nilsson, Al Green, Sammy Davis, Jr and Don McLean and Gilbert O' Sullivan. Yeah, I'm puzzled too.
I f*kin' love this song and I named my 1st dog Julio because of it. True story - 2 days after my dog Julio died, I went into a convenience store on the way home from work and THIS SONG was playing in the convenience store on the radio. That's weird, cuz you almost NEVER hear this song playing on the radio! I think Julio was trying to tell me he was OK.
My best memory (tbh, my only memory) of this song was when my older sister (who was de facto my mother figure) was taking me to school.. maybe 7th or 8th grade? This came on the radio, and I had to turn it up loud, and she was cool and let me... We had a fucked up family dynamic, which is why she was what she was, lol... but I always loved her, even when she moved away with her husband and kids... I've always felt this was one of my cleanest and brightest memories.... years later, my sister died and was buried a month before I was even told about it... like I said, fucked up family dynamic: she wanted to spare me grief over something I couldn't control, but I wish I'd had a chance to tell her how much she meant to me.
She knows how you feel ♥️♥️♥️ I have similar memories of this song. My mom lost custody of us (‘me being the oldest) when I was 9 bc of meth addiction and when she got us back (1 year later) we used to listen to this song in her car. This was a year or two before she got hooked on heroin and she’s been on it ever since. Once of my happy memories of my mom

Simon is one of the few artists that can make u sing along with a song which is about the darkest subject, but his distinctive tone, easy going talk and clear guitar gets into you like...well..the corona virus?
This great song has a double entendre. Me & Julio sounds like to rambunctious boys in the schoolyard. Yes! Did you know that in parts of New York city, 'julio' is slang for marijuana! Listen to the lyrics! Enjoy this stupendous song. James Deagle

Simon is one of the few artists that can make u sing along with a song which is about the darkest subject, but his distinctive tone, easy going talk and clear guitar gets into you like...well..the corona virus?
Wut
He’s not singing about covid

Man, this guy knew how to put a song together.
Good, humorous, lighthearted, joyful, catchy sounds so simple yet todays music just can't replicate this as much as it tries
Amazing never gets old.
🤩 this song is the most amazing song I have ever heard from Paul Simon and Garfunkel
Too bad artie had nothing to do with it.
No Art involved....
My kitty is named Julio because of this song. Lol! Found him by a school yard!
Cutest Name Story for a Pet, Ever!!!
Sweet! ❤ Hey there, Julio! ( Ray Stevens).
Love this song. Listened to it all the time on cassette when I was a young hippie.
Never met Julio but I knew Rosie the queen of corona. (and the lemon ice king)
This is the most wholesome comment section on youtube
This great song has a double entendre. Me & Julio sounds like to rambunctious boys in the schoolyard. Yes! Did you know that in parts of New York city, 'julio' is slang for marijuana! Listen to the lyrics! Enjoy this stupendous song. James Deagle
My ma's jam. Miss you ma❤
Paul Simon is a folk rock icon, seeing me and Julio down by the schoolyard 🎶
Damn it Rosie
