Asking y'all to please pray for my family. We're going through some hard times, and the devil is trying everything he can to pull us down. Thank you in advance. God Bless.
Mandy: Canned salmon has always contained bones. The skin, bones and liquid are all very good for you and contain calcium and phosphorus. My mother used to make salmon patties and everything was mixed together. It was no big deal. Sometimes, it’s a good idea to move outside your comfort zone.
I think Steven and my hubby are brothers from another mother! I made the Mississippi Chicken Sliders for Football Saturday. When he tasted them, he was as speechless as Steven. After a few, “Wows!” he finally said, “Make these again, PLEASE!” Winner, winner, chicken dinner, for sure.
😂 I really don’t know if I’m doing this correctly as I normally don’t comment. I am so grateful for you and Stephen. Not only do you help me with good meal planning, but you make me laugh so so hard!! I feel so blessed to be able to watch your videos. You have no idea how much you inspire me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
My sisters and I used to argue about who would get the bones! They were a treat for us. I love salmon patties. I never thought about doing it in my air fryer oven. I might have to try this!
Going through a stressful time I lost someone very close to me, watching your video took my mind off of it for just a little bit and I am ever so grateful.
As I mentioned once in another video, I always loved the vertebrae/bones whenever my mom made a meal using canned salmon. Totally edible; probably if you never grew up with eating them, you won’t appreciate them.
@lolacorinne right!! The bones in canned fish are perfectly edible, and should be because they're good for you! It's calcium, much needed! So guess people try to pull out the bones(very tedious)then spend money buy over the counter vitamins to try to get what they need!! I always liked eating them.
Definitely if you’re not intending to eat the bones or the skin… That beautiful kitty cat of yours she will love it as a nice little treat. Aside from her cheese.
I haven't had to search for a recipe for years - I just make what Mandy is making 😂 I've already made the lemon chicken gnocchi. I recommend it too! It was delicious, and my friends wanted the recipe.
I grew up eating Salmon patties and have always loved them. I’ve never been able to get the consistency and salt ratio right before this recipe. The air fryer salmon patties are phenomenal! Thanks for the recipe! These will go on the rotation for sure.
I remember momma making the salmon patties she used egg and cornmeal in hers to bind them, that is how long ago I had them. My grandmother made some with tuna they were also delicious. Thanks for going down memory lane for me.😁❤
Growing up Catholic in the 50’s and 60’s, we had canned salmon every Friday night, bones and all. I also loved salmon croquettes from Bill Knapp’s. But it was always red salmon, not pink. Thanks for the blast from the past!
New sub!! Love your recipes. I wanted to mention…when cooking with lemon you should always add it at the very end of cooking. Here’s why: The last bit of advice with cooking with lemon is true for both zest and juice. Don't add it too early to a dish - when it's still cooking and very hot. When introduced to too much heat for too long, lemon can easily turn bitter and even discolor other ingredients being cooked with it.
So glad I found your channel! ❤ Tip: try baking your meatballs. So much easier than frying. I’ll never go back! Thanks for all the yummy recipes. You and your hubby are so cute.
My mother still makes salmon patties (we call it salmon croquettes), and I still love it. She also makes it with canned mackerel, but I don't know if it has a specific name. I'm so glad I'm home alone because when he said ....I don't care how much snot you got up in there... I laughed & snorted so hard and loud. 🤣🤣🤣
I grew up with my grandmother making salmon croquettes and oh my goodness I was always freaked out by the circular bones! Love learning from the other commenters that they are tasty. Making these soon❤
I love salmon patties! My mom used to make them all the time except we never made them with mayonnaise or Miracle Whip she always used mashed potatoes, celery, onion and Dill...but I can't wait to try this new recipe! Seems it'll be lighter without the potatoes 🥔...but man were moms patties good mmmmmmm...so good...I miss you Mom ❤
I made mississippi chicken along with the mississippi pot roast for church potluck & never leftovers. I made these sliders [24 of them!] this past Sunday & no leftovers. I used a honey mustard & Swiss cheese . So good! Great video guys!!
Love these Winner Dinner Favourites. Our family matched 4 out of 5 of these. The sliders were the #1 favourite in our house, too! We just sucked up all the joy you guys share with us and laughed along with you! Thank you so much, Mandy! Have a blessed weekend!❤😊
I just discovered your channel and the first recipe I tried was the Tuscan Chicken. My family LOVED it. I also made the taco hashbrown casserole from that same video.
When I make salmon 🍣 patties I buy the salmon in the packs. Any time I use the canned kind they be a bit too much on the fall apart side. Maybe it’s just me lol
Salmon "cakes" or "patties" have been around longer than my grandmother. She was making them for my mother in the 1930's. My mother was making them for me in the 1970's, and I plan to make them for my wife in the 20's. They are, how do the kids put it these days... Timeless.
I can't wait to make the chicken sliders! I've been in a cooking rut lately so I've been binge watching your videos plus I'm getting over COVID so great time to gather new recipes to try! Your husband is so funny and y'all are a such a wonderful family! Blessings to all!❤
I love so many of your recipes that I have a Mandy in the Making section in my recipe box. Your little family is perfect. PS my recipe box is50 yrs old and I’m 73, never added a new section before.
I couldn’t eat the salmon patties or tuna for that matter but the other four look wonderful! Especially Cheryl’s recipe. The chicken gnocchi dish is a copycat of the soup at Olive Garden. I love it and their Zuppa Toscana soup also. The Mississippi Chicken sliders is a winner too. Blessings everyone for a great weekend. Thanks Mandy 🐓🎏🙏💕
You can buy boneless and skinless canned salmon. It's pricey but worth it. You can also steam some salmon and use it. You have to watch it too because some has the skin on and you have to take it off and remove the dark areas because it has a fishier taste.
Gnocchi pronouncing starts in the back of your mouth like saying “canyon” I Love Gnocchi!!! You and your family are Fun to watch… including Gracie!!! Keep up the Great work!!! - Nick Giardiello
Put the canned salmon in the mixing bowl, split it down the middle the long way, and all the bones should be lined up - so you can pull them out easier.
The bones are really good. Best part of my Mom’s salmon Pattie’s. We always had them with mashed potato pancakes. Leftover mashed potatoes, an egg, little bit of flour and drop like pancakes in fry pan with a little oil. Gotta make them again.
You should try the salmon patties with Hollandaise sauce on it. Tip: don't ever use instant or pre-made, always make it fresh. Supper easy. My fav is Betty crocker 1970 cookbook version. Simple.
I’m glad you are on the mend! I hope you will full recover soon. Love you videos, I can relate to you cooking style! Thank you and please keep them coming!
I make salmon patties or salmon loaf at least once a month. It's a must have with cream corn and baked russet potatoes, a request from my husband everytime!
I'm absolutely loving these top picks from July-September! The lemon chicken gnocchi was a hit in my household too - so flavorful! 😋 And oh my, those Mississippi chicken sliders are a must-try. I'm thinking of adding a dollop of spicy mayo for an extra kick! 🌶 Your videos always inspire me to get creative in the kitchen. Keep those amazing recipes coming! 👩🍳💕
I grew up on salmon patties. Mom would drain and remove the skin but the bones mash easily. Never made them in an air fryer. They looked golden and will try it next time.
Greece they make oval shaped meatballs which are easier to brown. They eat a lot of goat meat also. We like Bison better than beef. You can use tuna for patties also.
You know I have been watching for a few years. I always see the videos of how much you guys love everything. Has there ever been a group of recipes where you guys are like... nope that is not good?
When I am researching different recipes, I usually only pick what I know our family will enjoy eating. :) I also share our favorites because I want to help give you guys inspiration for meal planning. However, one time I made a savory cheese and pineapple casserole in a video and I love it but Steven was not a fan! Haha! I'll link it here so you can see that one! ruclips.net/video/uJZrehmmbNs/видео.htmlsi=m3BqlmhdyZOGEYIT
Hi Mandy. I buy the Chicken of the Sea brand salmon in the pink labled cans. They don't have any bones in them. Starkist also has the boneless salmon. I don't trust the bones and I don't like the pieces of skin either.
We were raised on Salmon patties my Moma diced onions to put in it, never used tarter always ketchup. Then pinto beans and fried taters with more onions and corn bread. My Mom crushed the bones , as I started cooking I removed but always checked for any I might have missed. Good eating Thanks for sharing! have never cooked them in the Air Fryer.
My Mom also mashed up the bones and skin from the canned salmon, after draining it. Nowadays we split the bones, skin and liquid into bowls. Kitty soup for our 2 senior cats. Good for their teeth and bones.
I have made the Greek Meatballs and orzo twice now.... SO SO GOOD! That would be my #1 as well! Also, the Pesto Turkey meatballs you have made before with orzo is one of our favorites as well! I have sent in that Tuscan crockpot recipe to you before for subbie supper, I am glad others love that recipe as well! Love all of your videos! 💜
I just had to comment. My mother use to make me Salmon pattys. After she passed I had a taste for her Salmon pattys, well that did not go well. I now can't wait to make them again with your winner dinner. Love Stephen and Gracie. Love all your videos, keep up the good work. God Bless you all.
Yes! Definitely just combine the bones and the skin into your salmon mixture along with the salmon itself. Once combined and mixed in you won’t even notice them in the patties or taste them! Trust me! I use that salmon all the time. Save yourself the time of picking them out.
They do package salmon in cans like tuna comes in and it does not contain the skin, bones etc. I add onion and a little bell pepper to my salmon patties. Just the way I like them. I haven't fixed them in a long time, it's time to make some for dinner tonight.
Yea wopperjawed love it i use that all the time from Texas first time ive heard anyone use that plus love sqlmon patties my mom use to make them havent had them since i was in teen im niw 79
😂🤣I'll fight you for them salmon bones! And whatever skin is in the can! But if this is your first time with canned salmon, you might not know the value of those things. I've been making salmon patties for maybe 53 years. They're one of Hubby's favorite foods. Thanks for showing me the air fryer way. You've really gotten good at this since I first watched you in 2019. It's been like watching one of my daughters mature and grow in her profession. "Mandy Food" NEVER disappoints! ❤
Asking y'all to please pray for my family. We're going through some hard times, and the devil is trying everything he can to pull us down. Thank you in advance. God Bless.

My siblings and I used to fight over who got more bones in their salmons cake…we loved them!!😂😂..I still do as an adult!!…totally soft and edible
The salmon bones are the best part
Definitely if you’re not intending to eat the bones or the skin… That beautiful kitty cat of yours she will love it as a nice little treat. Aside from her cheese.

I made that earlier this week
Such a high compliment!!!! That's EXACTLY why I make these videos!!
@@MandyintheMakingHi, where is the white sauce recipe for the Salmon patties? c
Can.t find it.
@@eliagron8750it's just tartar sauce, just homemade.
4:43 I usually don't like green peas. But, I make green peas in cream sauce every time I make salmon patties.
I solve the problem by buying salmon in pouches. No liquid, no bones.
Yes! So much easier.
I love how you "wing" it, Mandy!
I grew up eating Salmon patties and have always loved them. I’ve never been able to get the consistency and salt ratio right before this recipe. The air fryer salmon patties are phenomenal! Thanks for the recipe! These will go on the rotation for sure.
I want them all. I have to tell you, I love my cat but am becoming obsessed with Gracie Lou! She is so adorable!!!
I learned from my mom to use a fork to mash the bones and blend them together with the fish.
God Bless You Mandy❤🙏
I remember momma making the salmon patties she used egg and cornmeal in hers to bind them, that is how long ago I had them. My grandmother made some with tuna they were also delicious. Thanks for going down memory lane for me.😁❤

Use a Tbs of whole grain mustard in the salmon mix. It elevates it to another level.

Yes I always drain my salmon, I remove the largest bones too! Wished I had an air fryer to cook mine in, it's a lot easier.
Put the canned salmon in the mixing bowl, split it down the middle the long way, and all the bones should be lined up - so you can pull them out easier.
