Dakota, I love your attitude about mistakes in your knitting -- I hope you continue to be as gentle and patient with yourself through your knitting journey and life, it will serve you well 💗
Dakota, it was a pleasure to listen to you ❤ As for myself, I actually stay away from “complicated” patterns. I don’t have much knitting time that’s completely focused on knitting (you’ll most likely find me knitting while doing other things) so I tend to gravitate towards plain stockinette in the round type projects 😬 I admire you for trying different things (different constructions, cables, etc) 👏 And if there’s a time when you need a little (or a long) break I think the Half + Half is perfect! I have one on the go right now as well. Also, would love to be part of a (in-person) knitting group! ❤
You always knit such beautiful things!!! I love listening to your podcasts and seeing what you’re working on 🙂 I am learning that is it important to have something simple on the needles at all times for the mental break. I usually will stick to the more simple patterns also, but I don’t know what has gotten into me lately 😝 we’ll see if this desire for complicated patterns lasts long… I hope you’re doing well over in Italy! 💗
Exactly, there’s nothing wrong in making mistakes. If that was the case, why make your own hand made knits at all. I love it when the human shows through the craft.
Hi thank you for the advice! Unfortunately (or fortunately) for the viewer, knitting podcasts are typically quite long and that’s just the nature of this type of content.
