I was in the low 200s. I thought my Dr. was going to start dancing when i finally dropped under 200 so insurance would pay for it. Started last year and just getting to normal levels for my age was an absolute GAME CHANGER!!! Both in the gym and just general motivation. If anyone is curious GO GET YOU BLOODWORK DONE! It's amazing the difference when everything is working the way it should.
@@WenningStrength you and Stan Efferding are the ones that convinced me to start tracking it, and get a CPAP (another game changer once I quit being stubborn and actually embraced it). I seriously can't thank y'all enough! Not just gym gains (though those were spectacular) but also general quality of life!
U talked about a car accident at a young age that created a significant leg length discrepancy. What exercises do u do for lateral pelvic tilt, muscle imbalances and asymmetries?
Vitamin D and magnesium is a game changer. If I forget vitamin D for more than 2 days I get so grumpy and my wife always notices. Vitamin D has changed my depression lows. Magnesium stops all my muscle cramps and helps me sleep so good. But I have to take it mid day, if I take it before bed my dreams are so wacky and half lucid. So tip if you get the magnesium dreams too taking it at 3pm is the prime time for a good night sleep if you're in bed by 9-930
An important free sharing of information from a man who has lifted both natural and enhanced at the highest level- while become a Dr. What more documented proof of success does anyone need, in order to partner with for your training and dietary/ lifestyle guidelines and programming?
Lifting heavy is a hormetic stressor, which is why it raises testosterone. It causes massive inflammation acutely while lifting, which our body then responds to by dropping inflammation below baseline over the next several days. That’s why lifting heavy every day can have the opposite effect… lowering testosterone by putting our body into a nonstop inflammatory state.
Some killer information in this video. Once I started supplementing with vitamin D and started *really* giving a shit about my diet, my progress has taken off. The last thing I have to tackle is sleeping just a little bit more. I get about 7.5 hours a night, need to get that pushed up to that nice 8 hour mark. I take 200mg of magnesium oxide before I go to bed which I have noticed definitely improves my sleep quality. I ran out of magnesium once and didn't have chance to get back to Costco for a few days and I definitely noticed my sleep quality decreased. Thanks for all you do, Matt.
Hey Matt, I'm 62, I want to raise my testosterone. What do I have to do to intern with you? I already have my B.S. in exercise physiology and hold my personal training certification from the NSCA. Just retired from teaching health and physical education for 34 1/2 years.
This is the most underrated strength training channel out there! Thank you Matt

Another gem of info. Appreciate your straightforward honesty.
