It did. In fact he had two floods. The earliest one destroyed the early albums and they had to be redone. Method Man's "Tical" was different from what was released. The second flood destroyed Inspector Deck's debut album. "Uncontrolled Substance" would've been a different album than what was released had that particular flood didn't happen.
as someone who was robbed of most of my hard earned equipment as well around 2005-2006, i sympathize with you. it's hard, and makes you wonder about the people you deal with, because most of the time, it IS an inside job by people you put a certain level of trust in.... i basically never recovered from that, but i did move on and find new ways of doing things... wish you a prompt recovery from that.
My soul was crushed back in the late 90s. My irresponsible brother left some of my DJ equipment and ALL of my CDs in his car (hundreds) for reasons unknown, was all stolen and pretty much ended my DJing, sampling, production career and it still kills me inside that I was never able to recoup and carry on my passion for music. People are scummy and don't understand those of us who use music in all aspects of our lives. It can ruin many. Keep your head up man...
I've had to rebuild my studio several times over the last 20 years. I went almost 8yrs without any way to make music and it sucked!! I started back up during quarantine in 2020 buying an interface and a mic with fl studio. Little by little, piece by piece, I was able to build a full home studio with guitars, drums, keyboards, etc....just gotta get what you can when you can until you have everything you need. nothing wrong with buying used gear either.
Had the same happen to me in 2017 Portland, OR. After a night of gigging I ended up giving another DJ homie a ride home. Went in his place to piss, maybe 3 minutes max. Someone had popped my trunk and took all my gear from the car. Of course he lived next to a house with no power or heat that had squatters in it... Anyway he set up a gofund me for me it took just under 3 grand to get all of the same gear that was stolen back. I only missed one gig thanks to my DJ homies and just the general goodwill of folks in PDX, the gig I missed ended up being a benefit gig that raised the last 300 bux. Long story short the B.S. can only hold you back for a little bit. Keep your head up homie!!
Brethren, I felt a gut punch reading the title. Indeed, a relocation is necessary. They got the MPC & Yamaha (damn). Hopefully, You'll be able to find a suitable replacement. Keep your head up. ✊🏾✌🏾
That MPC lived a better life than most. Not only did you take care of it and cooked up crazy jams, but also through the RUclips you've inspired more people than you could imagine. I've been through periods of lots of gear, and no gear, and creativity always prevails. Keep us updated and inspired!
Homie, obviously don't know you but from all us beatmakers and producers out here, prayers 🙏 that God restores all that was taken and deals harshly with the culprits. Stay strong and blessed and remember what you said in the beginning of your video "New Beginnings". I believe that your latter will be greater than the former, stay up.

Really sorry to hear this. Thats awful. Dont know whats worse losing the physical items or that feeling of being violated snd having to change the way you move.
This bothered me. Your vids are always helpful when it comes to getting in the zone for making music and not taking it too serious…. I can tell you really enjoy what you do and it’s great to see. Much respect to you and I’ll be supporting to get you back to the music.
Sup Eddie, I appreciate how you’re handling this. You ain’t lettin the theft and loss of it overshadow the experience you had with it. If I have anything left over from my used gear shopping I’ll send sup’m to your GoFundMe to help replace it.
Damn! Sorry to hear it. I always had this fear. I keep my 3000 and SP-12 in storage because I'm primarily using the MPC-X right now. I'm being real selective about who I bring to my spot. Ya never know. Keep your head up bro. Praying for your strength to get through this.
damn bro! the studio getting hit is the absolute worst! Been in that situation twice actually with computers. Cant imagine dealing with it for hardware cause its all blood sweat n tears with um. Bounce back bro u aint got no choice but to do it!
Glad to see people supporting! This proves that good vibes are alive and well. Even in a world where it seems scandalous people are constantly trying to get over. You’ll have a new setup in no time and an improved view of who gets close. After I got robbed by a so called friend in this exact situation I would tell myself, “if all it cost was a drum machine to get these type of people out of my life, I’m lucky!”
That’s not necessarily true. When ever something is stolen, usually an innocent is blamed or assumed. I know, because countless times in my life I’ve been the one blamed. Amazing, important, relationships to my life were destroyed, & evaporated right before my eyes, along with my mental health. Once people fear you, or are suspicious of you, they almost never hit the undo button. Seriously, like 95% of the time, they never truly change their mind, even when there is later evidence of innocence. I know. It’s nearly ruined my life.
Such a shame, you’re gonna bounce back stronger, take time for yourself…. Thank God you’re in no harm… Peace, Security and prosperity to your new future space. Much thanks for sharing your creative sacred space… Peace up Bro. 👊🏾
You have a great Channel brotha. Sorry for your loss it’s like loosing a piece of yourself. If you have renters insurance it may be covered. Like others I’d contribute to helping you get another one. You have a great channel. Stay on track even through this adversity.
Dude, I am sorry this happened to you man. Your channel and work here is what inspired me to create my channel. Terrible news but I feel like things are going to be really great for you.
God bless Brother just remember the story of Job, may you be blessed three times more. You still have your health, your family is alright and things have a way of working out. Take care.
Totally so sorry to hear this. I had an inside job studio robbery. They got my samplers ... computer speakers...etc i had like all the electribes which especially the sampler one had it's own charm. It's such a brutal specific feeling for us.Seeing your video title brought back those feelings in my gut.Im definitely down to chip in. Its definitely a catalyst.... kinda alchemical transformation moment which sucks and i didn't see it at the time but they left my turntable and records . I eventually got an mpc 500 and 1000 which was whole new era for me. God bless. 🙏❤️✌️
This is heartbreaking man! I’m just finishing my studio and that shit is always on my mind. That’s why I got myself cameras and a whole lot of boomsticks
I remember like you, working hard at the time to get my hand on a Ricoh Gr1 (I'm a photographer). I've been robbed 3 month after and they took everything but my negatives. My computer, all my lenses, all my others cameras. Gone. At least I didn't lose all my work. It's tough to start over but it got me even more determination to do. Wowwww, I’m absolutely gutted for you. I’m so sorry. Sent you a lil something… Your chill, humble demeanor and positive energy have made this channel one of my favorites. Will miss watching you work but hopefully you’ll be back up and rocking in no time. 🫂
Peace. I’ve only watched a handful of your vids but I have gotten value out of everything I’ve seen. Your outlook and mindful approach to this setback is commendable. I’m headed over to the go fund me now. I’m sure the beat maker community will help accelerate your comeback. Hopefully you’ll be back on the pads soon. Stay up. 👊🏾🫡
Yo bro my heart goes out to you i have an MPC 3000 i purchased brand new in 1994 and it was my second peice of equipment. It definitely was an inside job the average person couldn't care less about a drum machine; someone who knows the value and importance of that machine…stole it! You mentioned Bruce Forat he's a great dude and he worked on my MPC60. If I'm not mistaken he helped Roger Linn design the MPC3000. Again my apologies- only people who understand the connection one may have with history of a machine like the MPC300 will have empathy. Youll get another one no doubt.
So saddened to hear this news, so sorry this happened to you eddie, you inspire me a lot & I appreciate you heavily, I made a donation and I hope it can help out, be safe
Eddie! Please don’t sell any of your gear to make up for re-buying your MPC. I’ll chip in and hopefully many others from your channel will do so as well. Whom ever did it might’ve come up but not in fair terms and that’s just not right. Just be patient and wait for us to take care of you as you have done for us in many of your videos. Best of luck my friend and looking forward to your bounce back. ❤
Fam I'm sorry to here that bro. It's messed up that people do ish like that man. People think they getting away with something but don't know karma will pay them back. You'll get it all back at some point and again fam, that sucks this happened to you bro. Peace and blessings to you moving forward...
Yo man, I’m so sorry to hear this happened to you. I remember the first vid I seen of yours with the Allen & heath quasi mixer you had. Been watching ever since. I can tell that you’re a humble dude and it is disheartening to hear this happened. I will definitely donate. Would like to see you continue your craft and expand the knowledge that you already have. Bless up 🙏🏽
I've had all my gear stolen in the past so I feel the pain. It's not just gear, it's a part of your soul but you will come out of this better than ever.
I have learned a lot from you and your content in the short time I have been subscribed. It's time for Me to pay it forward. Things will get better from here because this is one of those painful cycles of life. The equipment is gone but your Spirit can NEVER be stolen.
We dont know each other, but i can relate! All the hard work, planning and saving. Going forward you gotta keep your circle tight! In my opinion, its always an inside job. Someone that knows your pattern- times of the day when ur not home. I wouldn’t invite anyone to my home if making videos is something you still want to do! Loose lips sinks ships 🚢 Alot of back stabbers- smiling in your face- all the time they want to take your place. Keep your head up. This is also one of my greats fears. Which is why i keep my RUclips separate from my personal life. I dont show my face on my channel.
This pisses me off! Back in 2000 my studio got broken into and my MPC2000 was stolen so I feel your pain. About 4 years later I found it in a pawn shop and bought it back. You do what you have to do to keep the dream and joy alive in these situations. Good luck, bro and stay positive. Donation sent.
Yo… sorry this happened to you. I’ve never seen any of your videos this just popped up but, I know the feeling. Sucks!! Stay positive and keep keeping on.
keep strong, fellow. i ve had instruments stolen like that, people offered to help, i gradually bought back what i needed and realised the main instrument is our mind.
I feel your pain. 5 years ago someone broke into my storage unit and cleaned me out of about 7k worth of gear and FOH equipment. Sorry to hear this brother!
Daaaaaaamn sorry to hear this … devastating….. this type of situation always ran through my mind when I used to record random heads for an hourly … I hope and pray the bounce back will be smooth and empowering ~1~
Damn that fucked up bro. I just posted one of your video on some other sites today. I'll post this too & hopefully get you some more donations. It's the least my broke ass can do. I'm glad you & your family didn't get hurt. Peace
was devastated seeing the thumbnail, I know how spiritually fulfilling it is to have a machine that becomes an extension of yourself and how dark it gets when your tools (and compositions) are stolen! but you will be back up its always in you 🙏🏽
Oh man, I'm so sorry. Mine actually broke like 3 days ago and it was a huge blow. I was able to repair it, but now I'm terrified it'll give up the ghost. I hope things turn out well for you.
The people who stole your equipment are low. I lost a lot of equipment and irreplaceable items in the past. It's devastating, but like you mentioned, bouncing back makes you stronger and more resilient. Much success in the future.

@@willmcelroy6376 I could be wrong. But it's a private studio in a private residence. How a stranger break in and only take parts of the studio . But like I said I could be wrong.

I couldn’t make music the way I needed to for almost 5 years. Between moving around and being homeless in that process I never lost the dream keep it alive everything happens for a reason Your comeback will be even greater than the setback. Also that’s YOUR 3000 it’ll likely be back in your hands I’ve had things stolen and gotten them back before the universe is GOOD like that.
My heart brakes for you. A machine like that is part of your soul. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that another one will find its way to you. 🙏
i send prayers to you brother i’m from oakland as well and it’s just getting crazier and crazier everyday in the city i hope you find peace and bounce back my studio got broken into 8yrs ago it still got me noid and sad.
I'm SO SO sorry to hear about you're misfortune. Man this is horrible! My heart goes out to you that some low life would what to invader your space. Glad to hear your positive vibe. Rise above my friend!
I’m sorry to hear this man, those thieves will get what’s coming to them. At least they can’t take your raw talent and I know you can bounce back from this.
Dang... Feel bad for you guy. But dont let that minor set back get the best of you... Everything material can be replaced to a certain point. You'll be alright...
Man bro I’m sorry for your lose but I can tell you are a strong willed person and will succeed at life no matter what. In the end our journey isn’t always about the good times but rising out of the struggle and enduring life’s hardships, that energy comes back to you in this life and the next.
First time ever seeing your channel, man but we know how sentimental these machines hold and how meditative they can be. Hope everything from here on out is nothing but blessings brother. My advice would be to keep checking eBay, other listing sites and pawn stores in your area.
This is honestly my first time seeing you or your channel, but I wanted to express my condolences for what happened to you. It happened to me here in LA, not long ago, and I am still trying to replace everything that I lost. At least your insurance is kinda helping you, I had to file a civil claim, and still didn't get enough to even replace my mac pro, let alone all the rest of the gear that I lost, I lost my MPC 5000 then. And when the guys were caught, they were just deported back to their home. Stay strong, keep positive, steel sharpens steel, make sure you learn from this situation and make the necessary changes to prevent this from occurring occurring again.
First time on channel bro. Been in it for awhile and amongst all the great things I've done and people I've worked with, I acknowledge the personal relationships built with the tools you create upon. Working to get them, working to learn them, and working to find a sound as you use them are all a process of their very own. Sometimes those processes take years. I've ran 3 studios myself in my time and when someone comes and disrespects the grounds that you hustle upon, it cuts deeply. I'm sorry to hear about your recent events and hope that your new space brings you even more success moving forward. Prayers up - Peace
Sorry for your loss. The fear of the inside job is real. It sours so much. I hope you are back on your feet soon. Subscribed to hear you in your new space
It is a terrible thing to happen Eddie and suspecting people you know is a horrible thing to carry, for them and for you. If it was anyone you knew, they will want to fade away from your circle of friends in fear of slipping up, so try not to be too paranoid by friends and get back to the music making as soon as possible. Not sure if it is an option but having the studio at home brings a few advantages but rooms are expensive.
Man I'm sorry to hear this happened. You've already got a healthy outlook on this so I'll just say keep making content when you're ready. Your approach here is refreshing and welcome.
please return this mans machine and equipment back to him
Yes Lord!!!

Just donated to you my guy.. Keep your spirit high ❤🎶
damn I am so sorry to hear that man, couldn't afford much but I chucked a little in, hope you can afford to get it back in time.
You'll bounce back, brother! Hope to hear a LOT more music from you!
Jah know, I feel for you. I can't and don't want to imagine that happening to me. You definitely have my support King
Wow, sorry to hear that.
Why am afraid to bring anyone to my home studio
Fam I'm sorry to here that bro. It's messed up that people do ish like that man. People think they getting away with something but don't know karma will pay them back. You'll get it all back at some point and again fam, that sucks this happened to you bro. Peace and blessings to you moving forward...
You will get some replacement gear and then some . Sending positive energy your way .
Send him some money... "positive energy"? Pleaseeee
@@RyanREAXyou must don’t know anything about the realm/ reality you decided to incarnate into .
Bless up 🙏🏽
So sorry to hear that fam. I pray that you get back double of what you lost 🙏🏽
Loose lips sinks ships 🚢
Alot of back stabbers- smiling in your face- all the time they want to take your place. Keep your head up. This is also one of my greats fears. Which is why i keep my RUclips separate from my personal life. I dont show my face on my channel.
Sorry that this happened to you man it’s really sad.
im so sorry dude :/ my heart aches for you, creatives dont deserve this
This pisses me off! Back in 2000 my studio got broken into and my MPC2000 was stolen so I feel your pain. About 4 years later I found it in a pawn shop and bought it back. You do what you have to do to keep the dream and joy alive in these situations. Good luck, bro and stay positive. Donation sent.
Damn man. I just found your channel too. Sorry to hear this.
Yo… sorry this happened to you.
I’ve never seen any of your videos this just popped up but, I know the feeling. Sucks!!
Stay positive and keep keeping on.
Bro, I feel your pain. My car was broken into and hearing you speak is an absolute fact copy of my mindset. Start over and do better. Best wishes.
keep strong, fellow. i ve had instruments stolen like that, people offered to help, i gradually bought back what i needed and realised the main instrument is our mind.
I feel your pain. 5 years ago someone broke into my storage unit and cleaned me out of about 7k worth of gear and FOH equipment. Sorry to hear this brother!
Some people don't like to see a brother shine on the positive side of things. Crabs in a bucket. You'll be back.
This is heartbreaking brother. We shouldn’t do this too each other and what makes it even worse is it’s people you trust that did it
Daaaaaaamn sorry to hear this … devastating….. this type of situation always ran through my mind when I used to record random heads for an hourly … I hope and pray the bounce back will be smooth and empowering ~1~
Damn that fucked up bro. I just posted one of your video on some other sites today. I'll post this too & hopefully get you some more donations. It's the least my broke ass can do. I'm glad you & your family didn't get hurt. Peace
So so sorry Eddie to hear this, but you'll come back better and stronger, good men can't be kept down.
was devastated seeing the thumbnail, I know how spiritually fulfilling it is to have a machine that becomes an extension of yourself and how dark it gets when your tools (and compositions) are stolen! but you will be back up its always in you 🙏🏽
Dang, my bro, my studio was broken into and equipment stolen as well. Very painful and frustrating feeling, wishing you justice and recovery 🙏
Oh man, I'm so sorry. Mine actually broke like 3 days ago and it was a huge blow. I was able to repair it, but now I'm terrified it'll give up the ghost. I hope things turn out well for you.
They may have stolen your perfect tool to express your music, but what matters more than anything is the soul behind the music. Courage !
Damn bro that sucks man hopefully some people in the MPC Gang can come through and help out.
Eddie, I'm very sorry this happened. You have supporters all over the world who are rooting for you
I feel for you, your channel is an inspiration and believe you'll come out of this stronger ✌❤
The people who stole your equipment are low. I lost a lot of equipment and irreplaceable items in the past. It's devastating, but like you mentioned, bouncing back makes you stronger and more resilient. Much success in the future.
definitely someone you know. cant have nothing.
That’s not necessarily true. When ever something is stolen, usually an innocent person is blamed or assumed. I know, because countless times in my life I’ve been the one blamed. Amazing, important relationships to my life evaporated right before my eyes, along with my mental health.once people fear you, or are suspicious of you, they almost never hit the undo button. Seriously, like 90% of the time, they never truly change their mind, even when there is later evidence of innocence. I know. It’s nearly ruined my life.
@@willmcelroy6376 I could be wrong. But it's a private studio in a private residence. How a stranger break in and only take parts of the studio . But like I said I could be wrong.
@@ramsey4630 I’m just saying. Statistically, human beings are more Wrong than right, (we just don’t keep track of how often we’re wrong), and not always, but usually, our first suspicious instincts are wrong. I lost a job, lost several friends, and never received a $3800 pay check I was owed, because the boss was so confident, that it was me who robbed his apt a few weeks after I stayed there. It wasn’t until a year later, they found out it was actually the head of building security/doorman. He was arrested, and confessed to robbing several other apartments in the building, while the residents were out of town. Even when the true culprit was discovered, my old boss, STILL, believes I had something to do with it. He & my former coworkers spread such horrible gossip about me to other people in my industry, that it was hard for me to find a job after, which led to me becoming homeless. The Security gaurd even cleared my name, admitting he did not know me, and STILL, boss hates me, and is partially responsible for turning my friends and co-workers against me.
That's so messed up, and a lot of us have been in your shoes, most of the time it's an inside job, stay safe my friend
Sorry to hear that. Blessings will find you, King. Just keep pushing on.
I'm SO SO sorry to hear about you're misfortune. Man this is horrible! My heart goes out to you that some low life would what to invader your space. Glad to hear your positive vibe. Rise above my friend!
Sad to hear about that. Whoever has it will not be successful.
I’m sorry to hear this man, those thieves will get what’s coming to them. At least they can’t take your raw talent and I know you can bounce back from this.
Better days are on the way my brother, stay blessed
That really sucks bro. I can't imagine the pain your feeling. Hopefully your able to bounce back stronger, sooner than later.
Man im so sorry to hear brother ❤ that's really unfortunate
I hope your new studio is even more blessed with beautiful creative vibes and freedom.
Dang... Feel bad for you guy. But dont let that minor set back get the best of you... Everything material can be replaced to a certain point. You'll be alright...
Sorry for loss just so you know you’re an inspiration.
Sorry to hear this 😢 this seems to be happening to a lot of RUclipsrs lately. I hope your equipment gets recovered
Man bro I’m sorry for your lose but I can tell you are a strong willed person and will succeed at life no matter what. In the end our journey isn’t always about the good times but rising out of the struggle and enduring life’s hardships, that energy comes back to you in this life and the next.
The worst feeling! Sorry to hear. God bless
You Can Get It Back !! Keep Your Head Up !
Sorry for your loss. The fear of the inside job is real. It sours so much. I hope you are back on your feet soon. Subscribed to hear you in your new space
Best of lucks going forward man, im sure youll get back stronger from all of this
It is a terrible thing to happen Eddie and suspecting people you know is a horrible thing to carry, for them and for you. If it was anyone you knew, they will want to fade away from your circle of friends in fear of slipping up, so try not to be too paranoid by friends and get back to the music making as soon as possible. Not sure if it is an option but having the studio at home brings a few advantages but rooms are expensive.
Damn bro ! Sorry to hear about this. You will get back everything and come back stronger !!!
Sorry to hear that brother please do not stop the channel, you teach so much look forward to see you bounce back stronger, harder, better, peace out.
Man I'm sorry to hear this happened. You've already got a healthy outlook on this so I'll just say keep making content when you're ready. Your approach here is refreshing and welcome.
felt compelled to donate man good luck on that bounce back!!!
