    I have been wanting to start felting for a few years. This is my year! Yay! I have no clue about what to buy to get started. Do you by chance have a video saying what tools are most essential for even a year down the road?

      Hi Linda! Thank you for asking and YAY for wanting to get started. I have a free intro course that will cover all material info here. You can learn everything I wish I knew when I started in about an hour. wisteriasuriranch.thinkific.com/courses/needle-felting-intro I'll write a quick list here- felting needles, felting foam, core wool to create shapes, colored wool or loose fibers. If you are in the US, I have a complete felting kit which is out of stock at my Etsy shop but if you contact me there, I can relist one for you. This kit is shown in the free intro course. My Etsy shop is here www.etsy.com/shop/wisteriasuriranch (if you look in the sales section of sold items and scroll through, you'll see the beginner kit). You can also directly contact me through my main farm website which also has a little web shop at wisteriasuriranch.com/ Also you can do a search on beginner needle felting kit and get a kit with felting needles, foam, and preferably core wool with other color wools. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

    I am making a mouse for my son, his favorite mouse (Trapezoid) was killed a few days ago. Having never done wool felting (other than dryer balls)....this project gives me anxiety. Thank you for being so cheerful, enthusiastic, and for your clear directions. This is the first video that made me feel hopeful. Also. . Your shirt is to die for.
    Thank you!!

    For me the most stressful part was the nose

    • @WisteriaSuriRanch
      @WisteriaSuriRanch  2 года назад

      Mine used to disappear right into the body :) I still sometimes have little eyes and nose that disappear- so I just add a bit more wool. You can also poke the body of the mouse firmer and I've found that helps when poking in the eyes and nose. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching! Have an amazing day.

    Could you do a rat at all? I would make one for my sister since our rat passed away yesterday when we got home from the store

    • @WisteriaSuriRanch
      @WisteriaSuriRanch  2 года назад +2

      I'm so sorry to hear about your rat... If you have a picture of your rat, you can use that as a way to modify the mouse in the tutorial. Rats are larger but you can use a similar technique to make a rat vs a mouse since they have a similar body structure. Hope that helps a bit. Sending you hugs!
