Ill never forget 12years old this song just came out and punched me in the face. Walking down the street with my Walkman on listening to the end of this song i knew i would become a guitarist. I knew i had to figure out how to express myself like this guy riff after riff. I’m still playing over 30 years now thanks to slash. I still get goose bumps when i listen to this song.
Man. I used to deliver for this Italian restaurant many moons ago. And one day we hired this sweet little thing from California. Man she was fresh off the boat. But we started hanging out, and I remember her talking about this band from her home town. I didn't think much about it until she was digging through her suitcases one day, "Here it is!" She had found a recording of the band she was talking about. We wore that tape out. Every song was incredible. And I don't know how she got a hold of that thing, but it was the Appetite for Destruction demo tape. And it blew my mind.
Maybe it looks so simple and many guitarists can do it easily. But when it comes out from the original artist especially Slash, it's so so special.....❤
As another Hoosier from Axl and Izzy's home State of Indiana I start to really feel this tune. The headbanging just comes natural as the guitar riffs get heavy and start pouring out. "In God we trust..... everyone else keep your hands where we can see them!" James Dean Steve McQueen Eugene M. Stoner John Dillinger Ralph "you'll shoot your eye out kid" Parker The list continues........ Indiana
When I was a teen I use to listen to alot of rock music. And sometimes I'd lay back and imagine myself soloing on stage. But after awhile I felt like I had all these guitar solos in my head. So one day a bud gave me a electric guitar and a fender amp and a pedal and some Jimmy hendrix lesson books. So I played and wow it was fairly amazing what I did when I played with what I had. One day I just quit playing never went back to it. 30 years later I'm playing again thru a guitar teacher which is very technically sound. Pretty sad I quit tho. Still don't know why I quit. Im just like wow wtf was I thinking
Honestly I was wrong, I miss school and the camaraderie with it, (the only thing I despised was the extremely high price on education and experience, (hey but the best education comes with a price) - I was just really s*** at math and thought this would tie to me never being financially independent or stable because of my lack of critical calculation, the subject I always wanted to be good at by was too lazy to put in the effort for because it's something I truly wasn't interested in, (I was more into macro / micro economics than I was theoretical calculus ) I honestly miss history and English class though & if I knew now what I knew back then I would have probably written something substantial after taking the time to constantly revise my work, I sucked at spelling and punctuation, and I had the hand writing of a 1st grader in high school. but my vocabulary was surprisingly sophisticated for a Jr in highschool, but what I did appreciate is that I had phenomenal history & English teachers and even a good algebra teacher who was extremely patient and considerate to his students ( he also reintroduce me to chess even though I wouldn't start taking it more seriously untill after highschool, I was just honestly embarrassed that I was a senior taking algebra 2 in a class with sophmores while the seniors in AP calculus secretly taunted us for being considered dumb. I felt like the world is looking for men and woman who are phenomenally inclined in mathematics, biology, chemistry and the sciences because it's a curriculum so few have the patience, grit, and mental capacity for the memorization of micro details that make the greater difference, because in mathematics one small tweak can throw your entire calculation out the window and leave you with a completely different result from the established orthodoxy, (I was allot better at understanding the bigger picture of cincepts when it came to history and literature, like understanding why was Julius ceasar envied & assassinated by his peers (answer: because they feared he would abolish the Senate and establish a dictatorship), or why did the African American slaves during the 1800's who were enslaved did not initially revolt (answer: Because of the mental dehumanizing campaigns that happened because of mental slavery, like whippings, lynchings, and the slow speration from the home land and assimilation into American colonial life due to forced indoctrination of African American slaves into American culture

Espero ainda ver muitas obras do slash, e também do guns n Roses, lembrando os bons e velhos tempos, dos anos 90 kkkk
Ay up Stoke lad!
With the very best wishes to you and all whom you love. AJ, Stoke, England.
That clean intro riff is deceptively tricky to play right.
Yeah three chords. G C and F.
Just ensure that your pinky is on the last fret, just keep practicing it , you will nail it.

I like how he often calls the Band Guns thereby eliminating Axl Rose.
He is just shorten it up, nothing eliminated at all. Just your interpretation. He already called them guns in the 80s und 90s.
