Warner Bros. launch a spin-off of the Joker and Harley Quinn. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, directors and executive producers of the hit NBC drama This Is Us and who also wrote and helmed the 2011 film Crazy, Stupid, Love, are entering the DC cinematic universe at Warner Bros. The duo are in final negotiations to pen and helm an untitled movie project centering on Batman villains Joker and Harley Quinn. Jared Leto and Margot Robbie are due to reprise their roles as the villains, among the most popular characters in the DC pantheon and which they first portrayed in 2016’s Suicide Squad. Insiders say that the plan is for this feature to go after the studio makes a sequel to Suicide Squad. The latter is on the development fast-track and out to directors. But the Joker and Harley Quinn movie is also moving fast as Warners has to contend with actors' holding agreements, say sources. The film is described as a “criminal love story,” according to one source, featuring the two murdering maniacs who are cornerstones in the Batman mythos. Additionally, the project falls within Warners' main line of movies based on their DC properties. That includes the current pics released and in production that feature Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, among other characters who collectively form the Justice League. Warner Bros. is simultaneously beginning to develop a line of DC-related films that will fall outside the established cinematic universe which sees actors and storylines threaded through multiple movies. The new line, or possibly label, will allow for the making of movies that will stand apart and separate from those big-budget tentpoles. And, in a move showing how popular the character is, a Joker solo movie is being developed as a potential directing vehicle for The Hangover filmmaker Todd Phillips. It is intended to star an actor other than Leto. (Requa and Ficarra's Joker/Quinn project is further along in development than Phillips' Joker project, at least at this stage, according to one source.) This strategy will distinguish Warners’ superhero movies from those of competitors, namely Disney, which has a highly interconnected Marvel universe of films as well as Star Wars. The latter has the main saga, first begun by creator George Lucas decades ago, and is now making stand-alone outings that are, at least at this stage, intended to fill in backstory for the main and ongoing story. Leto did a great acting job in this film but he was under used.Even though the movie is a suicide squad movie he needed at least one more scene.The extended cut fixes his role for the most part.But he still needed at least one more scene before the finale.But this will be corrected in solo Batman were he will obviously re appear.He will prolly cameo in Gothom city Sirens after solo Batman.Unless hes gonna be the second to main villain.If Sirens comes out before solo Batman Joker will have to be the main villain or second to main.
They fix it in the extended cut he gets a longer version of his scene in arkham and a great scene on the high way.He still needed one more scene but it still works better and makes the film a Joker Harley film in spirit.Still dont worry Joker will be back for solo Batman and Harley will be back for Sirens.

Olive doesn't make them fake fans and I personally don't ship them but certain people like you act like Harley is some innocent victim trapped by the joker but from the very first moment that harley and joker first met, harley tried to use him and manipulate him by playing with his mind. she wanted to get rich and famous by writing a tell all book about him, this is a man that is mentally ill, when he was sane he never tried to hurt anyone but she tried to take advantage of him and get him to trust her. It ended up backfiring and joker ended up manipulating her and she fell for him, but even though she cares for him and is very clingy, she is more in love with the idea of joker than she is woth the joker. That is why when the joker started to regain his sanity and started getting depressed because he couldn't escape into madness from his feelings anymore she became disgusted by him, she didn't like that he suddenly cared about people and his actions and that he just wasn't fun anymore, so she beat him and abandoned him before he fully regained his sanity. harley has also beaten, battered and attempted to kill the joker many times because she is unstable just like he is unstable and you can even argue that she is worse because most of the time joker's abuse isn't out of malice, he thinks he is in a cartoon and he has all those giant hammers and trick weapons, he treats people the same way bugs bunny and tom and jerry treat people because thats how he sees the world and thats why he is constantly trying to harm the two people he cares about the most harley and batman. This kind of relationship is fascinating to watch because they are two chaotic and broken indivuals trying to co-exist, it's entertaining and it was created as entertainment, when you have a problem is when you have people that want a relationship like harley and joker, other than that there is no harm in liking harley and joker together since they are fictional characters and harley is arguably most interesting when she is with him probably because she was made for him.
I really liked Letos Joker. It was different , loved the laugh. Feel he got so much salt as they cut half his scenes so character wasn't developed fully.

Joker was never a victim though, lol. It was always only Harley, who has an awful Stockholm Syndrome, and no, she doesn't need it, she doesn't need him. She needs to move on, and frankly, she did. The movie is not canon, it's made for viewers who might not be familiar with DC universe, but still be able to get something out of this, also, for fanservice. Joker isn't like he is in the movie with Harley, ever. He could care less if she got caught or something, and no, he doesn't need her, he never did. But yes, I consider he felt something like attachment to her, but to be honest? He's more obsessed with Batman, he needs Batman more than Harley, and she was always a burden to him. I think that the only redeeming quality that this version of the Joker has is that he deeply cares for Harley Quinn while this version of Batman strongly hates the Joker. I also think that the Joker should have been a secondary villain to the film since his limited screen-time was among the criticisms to the movie, although Jared Leto's performance was considerably praised. But Margot Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn was a show-stealer. Needless to say, the movie could have been made a lot better as well as the other films in the DCEU.

They diddnt rip his head off lol.People are split on Jareds Joker.The reason is is because the trailers made it seem he was gonna be epic.When really he was just a supporting character.So it split fans because they thought it was gonna be another Heath Ledger level role and performance.Instead he dosent do much is a back ground character and has 15 minutes of screen time in the extended cut.Thats why fans are split.Half like him because they understand it wasnt his story the other half dont because they thought it was.As is he did great acting wise but he leaves little impact in the film because he has so little to do.The extended cut fixes it for the most part but he still needed one last scene before the end.But the solo batman movie will fix this by giving him more screen time.When he comes back and dose more Joker style stuff against Batman hes gonna win over the fans that diddnt like it.As of now fans are split.Hes either liked or dis liked theres no middle ground.

Olive doesn't make them fake fans and I personally don't ship them but certain people like you act like Harley is some innocent victim trapped by the joker but from the very first moment that harley and joker first met, harley tried to use him and manipulate him by playing with his mind. she wanted to get rich and famous by writing a tell all book about him, this is a man that is mentally ill, when he was sane he never tried to hurt anyone but she tried to take advantage of him and get him to trust her. It ended up backfiring and joker ended up manipulating her and she fell for him, but even though she cares for him and is very clingy, she is more in love with the idea of joker than she is woth the joker. That is why when the joker started to regain his sanity and started getting depressed because he couldn't escape into madness from his feelings anymore she became disgusted by him, she didn't like that he suddenly cared about people and his actions and that he just wasn't fun anymore, so she beat him and abandoned him before he fully regained his sanity. harley has also beaten, battered and attempted to kill the joker many times because she is unstable just like he is unstable and you can even argue that she is worse because most of the time joker's abuse isn't out of malice, he thinks he is in a cartoon and he has all those giant hammers and trick weapons, he treats people the same way bugs bunny and tom and jerry treat people because thats how he sees the world and thats why he is constantly trying to harm the two people he cares about the most harley and batman. This kind of relationship is fascinating to watch because they are two chaotic and broken indivuals trying to co-exist, it's entertaining and it was created as entertainment, when you have a problem is when you have people that want a relationship like harley and joker, other than that there is no harm in liking harley and joker together since they are fictional characters and harley is arguably most interesting when she is with him probably because she was made for him.

The movie is not canon, it's made for viewers who might not be familiar with DC universe, but still be able to get something out of this, also, for fanservice. Joker isn't like he is in the movie with Harley, ever. He could care less if she got caught or something, and no, he doesn't need her, he never did. But yes, I consider he felt something like attachment to her, but to be honest? He's more obsessed with Batman, he needs Batman more than Harley, and she was always a burden to him. I don't know how you people romanticise these relationship. Yes, it is love, but it's not healthy. And they're not meant to be, they don't even need each other. Harley always wanted more from Joker, and Joker never wanted Harley in the first place. End of the story.

I think that the only redeeming quality that this version of the Joker has is that he deeply cares for Harley Quinn while this version of Batman strongly hates the Joker. I also think that the Joker should have been a secondary villain to the film since his limited screen-time was among the criticisms to the movie, although Jared Leto's performance was considerably praised. But Margot Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn was a show-stealer. Needless to say, the movie could have been made a lot better as well as the other films in the DCEU.
