- Hey guys! It's been a while!
I'm excited to share that I'm finally back with another PABORITO episode, at one of the most expensive districts in the Philippines-Bonifacio Global City!
I searched for the best food in BGC by asking locals and frequents of the town! It was a challenge to look for a place with less than five branches but eventually got many recommendations. 🥹
Let me know, what's your PABORITO in BGC? 😋
❗️Important Announcement❗️
Over the past few days, the Philippines has experienced devastating impacts from the typhoon Carina. My heart goes out to all the victims, and I’m sending prayers and support to everyone affected. Stay safe and strong. 🙏
On top of that, I have to say that the PABORITO series will be on hold temporarily. As I’m now back to being a solo creator, producing and editing all the videos on my own, I need some time to focus on quality over quantity. Your patience and support mean a lot to me. Thank you for your love for this series! 🙏❤️

thank you Jessica for making me smile with your videos
❤
Paborito and trabaho series are really genius idea. Whoever came up with this should be awarded ❤
Both concepts were taken from other Korean channels.
Paborito series is a direct copy of Poongja's Repeat Restaurant
And Trabaho series is a direct copy of Workman and Work-dol
Thank you to Poongja and Jang Sung Kyu! 😂
@@italianherb ohhh, I didn't know that ~
Just came from Caravan black today. Grabe daming tao. The staff informed us that it’s been more than a week that they became very busy. And it’s because they were featured by Jessica. Actually, that was also the reason we went 😅
Wow!
I love how grounded you are in gauging the prices. Like the reaction when you found out the coffee was P200 was giving real local pinoy vibes.
BGC is expensive, and most restos are franchises. But there are few finds there and I’m glad you found one of them.
18:03 when you guys exchanged restaurant recommendations 😭 thats such a cute interaction
Yess caravan black is a hidden gem. The place is usually not full. Good coffee and good food.
11:50 isang pinay na naman po ang swerte sa buhay !! honestly she's a QUEENNN HAHAH go girl ure so pretty we get ur partner emeh
a proud freeloader lol
Jessica Lee: Grabeh! sarap ng life! Sana all! Sana All!
@jungkookslollipop2627 what a nasty thing to say. So stay at home wives are freeloaders too?
@@jungkookslollipop2627 just say ur inggit : (
@@jungkookslollipop2627huwag ka mainggit hahahah
When Jessica is waving 👋 and say hi its like they know each other 🤣 so cute 🥰🥰🥰
Caravan Black's owners are one of the most humble people I know. Glad someone recommended that to you!
Yung taga Larry's ni recommend yung Abe. They are one group. Abe is the father of restaurateur Larry Cruz.
Oh hahahahahah buti nlng it had more than 5 branches
yep. I used to work there back in'07. Wala pang BGC. Larrys was at Serendra and Abe was in Trinoma and Abe Farm in Magalang. Namatay si LJC during my stint there.
Daya ni kuya! 😂
Hi po palagi❤
And I thought he was just being helpful.
'Mitsubishi Mall' daw, pertaining to 'Mitsukoshi Mall'... Jessica is so cute
I thought I was the only one who heard it 😅
Mitsukoshi mall suddenly became car brand 🤣
Sorry po and Mitsukoshi* mall is korrektttt 😂
@@jessicaleeseul Mitsukoshi is a well known chain of malls in Japan btw
@@jessicaleeseulPlease visit tutuban food park just like ugbo in manila
Caravan Black is now an added list to my go to shop. Will be back in BGC sooner. Thank you, Ms. Jessica and the one who recommended it.
sameeee❤ i don't know why Everytime i watched her videos makes me happy 😊❤❤ tbh
You should move to BGC👍
As someone who has been living in BGC for more than three years now, I'd been to these four spots already and I'm happy that we have the same favorite among the choices, Jess. This district is home to various international cuisines, and I hoped the Japanese options in this set was limited to just one. Nonetheless, it's an interesting and enjoyable episode as usual. I wish you can visit my BGC recos Fowlbread, Sidechick, KIJI Bakehouse, and Outpost when you come back. All the best to producing quality content!
which is the most affordable? the “marugame” type of prices lang
lore by chef tatung is a must try for filipino food, it has no other branches elsewhere only in BgC
I love how Jessica always ask for permission before filming inside those restaurants❤️
Thanks sa new episode ng paborito, Jess. Papanoorin ko to ulit pag may signal na. Hehehhe Hina Kasi signal Ng data. Ingat guys..
Nako, missed opportunity to try
- Burnt Bean
- Griffoni’s
- Elephant Grounds
- Alegria
- Mamou (Kaso madami ng branch)
- Kashmir
- Sentro (Kaso madami ring branch)
Agree with Elephant Grounds! kanina ko pa sinisigaw sa screen hahaha
@@jannamacapeges478 this is also a franchise ... theres one in podium
Burnt Bean, Griffoni's and Elephant Grounds have a branch in Podium na though 🥹 Goes to show na most restaurants in BGC are franchises/have several branches talaga
@@gclnrz98032 Pasado pa naman, her rules ata are less than 5 branches?
@@JEDGUECOB Right, haha sayang nga, especially Griffoni's!
Because of many resto in bgc, you can do part 2 and part 3, and those winners in each part should have another round to try again to decide which one is really the best.
Watching this video Jessica makes me really appreciate Pinas food diversity, availability and the food prices actually. 😅
Been living here in New Zealand for some time now. And there’s not much food option here, also a simple Mcdonald’s meal here will cost you 10NZ$ (around 350php base on the current exchange rate).
I know people in NZ will say 10$ is just nothing to them but if you’re from PH you can’t take the fact that its so damn expensive 😅
No offense to NZ.
It’s really beautiful and peaceful here. The people also is very kind and welcoming. ❤
Thank you Jessica for this very helpful vlog! Normally kaming mga commoners, we get intimidated right away pag medyo high end ang places and lalo na BGC. Thank you kasi I appreciate na you tell us how much at least we have an idea and not just assume that we wont be able to afford it ever. Puede pala pag 13th month o may bonus o birthday ganyan. Galing! Wishing you more success! 🎉👍👏
This video from Jessica is a sad reality here in the Philippines. Where business is not a very popular option for Filipinos, and how monopoly can take over a culture such as here. Interviewees would only know restaurant chains, one even recommended Mcdonald's. It's a shame because the Philippines has so much to offer. It's even in BGC where it's supposed to be hip/modern, hopefully we can shift to a different direction where more options other than chains are available, so kudos to Jessica for promoting these hidden gems in different areas of the country, although for this video majority of those she tried are mini resto chains.
opo tama ka. Ang dami ng chain restaurants pero salamat to Jessica for showing us there are ibang pagpipilian doon. & I love when she interviews the locals there to hear what they have to say about it
There are few resto are worth to try even if its expensive and unpopular opinion
1. Shaka Shaka
2. Jones All Day
3. Key Coffee
4. The Bowery
5. Café Alegria
i grew up around bgc when i was a kid it, it changed a lot since then, it used to be grass field and it used to be a military camp and a golf course also
ABE! Kaso 6 branches. Abe is seriously one of the best Filipino restaurants in the country. My personal favorite in Luzon.. 👌🏻😋
Dilis Rice for the win! Pro tip, any LJC restaurant will serve dilis rice kahit wala sa menu 😁
Finally it's here! Ah paborito episode for BGC. Love your series. You should've tried either Burnt Bean or Purple Rice.
Stay safe Jessica 💖 Also to the people that is being affected by typhoon. Halong gid kamo tanan🤗
I love your reaction ate! Been a fan of your video, Jessica! Tbh, I don't like eating on expensive restos because I found the cheaper ones to be more affordable given my job in the Philippines pero I love watching your videos po!
Some of my go to restaurants/bar in BGC are Chotto Matte, Salaryman, Out of Office, Wong Place, Auro Cafe, Mango Tree, and Bolero 🤍
I used to work in BGC and I love Caravan Black! Try their Cold Blonde (Milky coffee) and their Kimchi Tuna Melt sandwich!
From Trabaho series to Paborito series.. Watching with my 5 yr. old daughter always. And everytime we go to malls, she calls every Korean lady we meet "Jessica" 😆
You should definitely go here in Olongapo City, there are many delicious foods and delicacies here.
Keizo is a hidden gem in BGC. One of the best Japanese restaurants in Metro Manila tbh
It's so impressive that you can eat that much! I would've been so full after the first meal!
Try TFF (Tarsier Fried Food) next time, 2 branches lang yata sila, mura lang 100+pesos lang fried rice and madaming servings. Front of Mitsokoshi Mall lang, near Mendokoro.
The more me watch your videos, the more we get to know you, Jessica-noona.
(I'm a 98-liner, but... We'll call you "Noona" because you are our favorite Noona/Unnie)
Thank you for sharing a part of yourself... Noona 🫶🏻
-I can't wait to see PABORITO in Provincial areas (Cebu, Davao) 🫶🏻
Wow jess sikat sa bgc na from street foods to sostal fine dining restos from uptown areas! Next vlog feature the most expensive restos in manila with at least per menu cost 50K-100K php minimum! Good luck to you!
✨🥰 I like the best cafe na nirecommend na naging Paborito mo dito in this episode, now we have a bucketlist na!
As a BGC local, I would definitely agree with Fat Seed. Try their Hotate Soy Cream Pasta, it is the absolute best. Next time try Fowlbread and Sidechick too, they are some of the low key gems of BGC. Masarap pramis!
Fowlbread yassss!!
Glad that youre back!! Once every two weeks! And 1 live a month! 😉
I hope next time the Paborito series went to Malabon City to tried their different food the city can offer. More Power Miss Jessica and the team.
Hi, Jessica! Suggesting for next time you’re in BGC, try Beirut bites in Market-market at the 3rd floor. Their shawarma is really good! Been there more times than I can count and always order their beef shawarma! More power!
Just be yourself! That’s the reason why people watch you- no stress!
La Picara is a good alternative to the places with 2-3 branches included on your list
yeeeyyyy. finally. a new video.tapos ko na lahat video mo and always waiting for a new one. 😊😊😊😊
will always wait for new uploads from Jessica!! avid fan here!!
18:47 can relate, can't wait ❤
Kuya Kyle from Logistics company knows his tastes well, i'd love to be his food buddy someday. I could eat like a truck 😂🎉 parang ang sarap kumain sa mga food branches na he mentioned.
CARAVAN YEAYY!!! I LOVE THIS CAFE SO MUCHHH!!
I miss BGC. I think its more than 10yrs since my last gala there... Nice vlog jessica.
On the topic of Sushi / Sashimi, you could try Tok-Yu Sushi Bar. There's only 2 branches that I know of so far, one in Pioneer, Kapitolyo (Near Ace Water Spa), and one near Timog, QC.
Sushi and sashimi are cheaply priced because I think they have a dedicated source for the seafood. Nice, affordable way to scratch that sushi itch.
Not sure if they're on the delivery services though, I haven't been to Manila in a while.
Always look forward to watch your videos. Much love and support from Chicago!! Come visit! Pray hard- will give you peace 🙏. Ingat!
Thank you for the recommendations.
Hoping there is a part 2 of this paborito EP
I’ve watched your vlogs and tried some of these. I went to that crepe restaurant last year several times. It’s really good. I will try this caravan black next time
St. Louis and Ukkokei Damen Ron. St. Louis is amazing for gelato, pasta, and its avocado toast. Ukkokei is some authentic ramen, according to my Japanese friends, and it was originally from Makati. Those restaurants don't have branches anywhere else. Prologue and Key Coffee also in Mitsukoshi.
I love Fat Seed. They also have a branch in UPTC. Our go-to order there is the fried chicken and ube waffles. So good! Our BGC favorites are Pink’s for the hotdogs and M Bakery for the banana pudding. If you ever go back to BGC I hope you try these (if you haven’t yet.) ☺️
I spent 6 weeks in BGC and I agree, I thought many of the places were just ok. You were however, standing next to one of places that I repeated my visits. Gino's Brick Oven Pizza. Decent value and their pizza was pretty good. One of the top two I had in the Philippines.
omgggg caravan black is my go-to coffee shop 🥰
Legit sa lady n 14min. Respect 🫡
This is why before watching your new paborito series, i will prepare a food so i can eat too and hindi mainggit sa food😭😆
She finally posted!!!
Now I am craving MendoKoro Ramen!!! UGH 🤤
If it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'd suggest The Wong Place; really great take on Chinese food.
I just missed you by a day, Gino's one of the best!!
Haven't finished the episode but I recommend Al Dente and Big Belly Burgers sa Burgos Circle!
I went to BGC and saw Mendokoro. I was really curious about how the food tasted there, but I never had the chance to dine in since I only had a short amount of time. Thanks to your Vlog, I had the slightest idea of what it tasted like. If I ever come back there, I'm going to try Gyoza. I also want to try Caravan Black.
Been working in BGC for more than a yr now pero never ko pa natry sa Caravan Black hahahaha lapit lang sa office. Try ko na sya bukassss 😊 thank you Jessica 🫰
Kakatapos ko lang maglaba then nag pop up yung video ni Jessica, grabe tanggal yung pagod eh hehehe. Siya na ang pahinga ko❤
13:17
nalibre lang kami dito sa Samba, and oh MAN the food slaps so hard (basta pikit-mata sa presyo)
the serving size was for 2 - 3 people (estimate namin) for 975 :D
Try to go here at Tuguegarao City we have a our best batil patong pansit 😊❤
once you resume your paborito series, you should go to salcedo next. there's a lot of good food there! 💕
mendokoro
I'll try it, di ko pa naexplore much ang BGC. Thanks, Jessica! ❤
A must try is Wildwest Roadhouse - the only branch is in Bgc. All the food is good there
8:28 Irasshaimase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHA
My favorites here in BGC: Va Bene, a mano, Wolfgang Steakhouse, Raging Bull, Hossein’s, Yayoi
YES. Caravan Black is amazing! I miss their cinnamon buns!!
"Kyle". Yeeeap, that's our boy Kyle there! Also, Mendokoro is yess! (typing this while working in the middle of BGC)
Leaving in the Philippines is so real😆✨
Living in the Philippines or Leaving the Philippines?
Sariwon is one of my fave restaurants in BGC ❤
One of The safest place talaga to stroll ang BGC but beware May areas din na Di nkikita ng mga roving guards kaya be wary of those. Hope to see you there one of these days Jess habang nagwawalking ako. 😊❤
Missing Philippines - my heart goes out to my kababayans during the typhoon 💔
Gotta hit up Caravan Black next time we’re in BGC. We always eat at Manam next door, LOL
Yay! You're back in PH! More Trabaho and Paborito series! 🫶
Mendokoro Ramenba is a chain and has more than five branches. They even have one in Cebu city.
Praying for you all, lord have mercy and remember your great love for your people. Lord have mercy on those who don't know you and show yourself to them regardless what they are today, save them from the rising waters, drive away the oil spill but most of all forgive us all for thinking we can succeed without you. These events remind us we are not gods nor able to save ourselves apart from you. Thank you for the love of your people you invested in Ate J... save her lord, make her yours as one family in the Philippines 🇵🇭 🙏
I remembered when I stayed in BGC for a month back then. First few days I was eating at the closest place I can go to, but after awhile I just ordered grab or food panda and if the delivery took too long or just too expensive, I just took a taxi out and I still saved more money than if I ate food at the nearby places.
And to be fair most the places they call good, I ate similar dishes from cheaper places and the cheaper food were in most cases better tasting and costs like less than half alot of the times cheaper than what's in BGC. They might be using better ingredients in BGC but I really can't justify the 3-4x price of everything. I feel that BGC is mostly a tourist trap.
I love your paborito series!
Thank you for another Paborito episode. I appreciate you and your team's hard work. And yes, please take as much time you need for the next episode. Real fans of this channel prefer quality over quantity as well. Let's go 2M subssss!!
Bake house, Shang for pastries! da beeeest ❤
I love this episode hahaha. So if I revisit bgc, I'll try na lang yung mga recommended resto dito sa vid haha
