If you are aiming for super local resto recommendations try to ask jeepney drivers. They will always pick the most affordable and tastiest place to eat!!
I just came from Tagaytay last month and ate at exactly the same place--Tuazon's Kitchenette. I'd say, their pares is good. I also got the bone marrow, but didn't get the "cardiac" they say comes with chicharong bulaklak. But then again, it's a premium kind of pares. Try the pares carts along major roads. That's a different kind of pares. its more soupy, but also more decadent as the beef fat is incorporated with the soup itself. If you want a unique spot found only in Tagaytay (afaik) is the mushroom burger fast food. I haven't tried it, but people say its good.
Nope. "In 2018, the International Union for Conservation of Nature declared the tawilis an endangered species, triggering the two-month “closed season,” or fishing ban.Feb 19, 2024"
Hi Jessica. The next time you visit Tagaytay, try Tito Bee's. Their place is a humble karinderya style with really one of the best tasting food, in Tagaytay. Their offerings are also very afforfable. My family never missed eating there whenever we visited Tagaytay. Bulalo, tawilis, and grilled pusit are always on my list.
I love that Jessica always politely says "OG" whenever the place is not fancy. She's also always down to try stuff even if it's not something that she likes initially. That's how we get to learn how we might like food that we're a bit scared of.
Notice me Jessica. "Pamana" is so very underrated. Most people will go to Balay Dako. But in Pamana no cap, whatever you order always hits the spot. Skip jaytees, Charito by Bag of Beans, Balay Dako, etc. Even compared to local carinderia's Pamana is the definitely the spot. Whatever you order will always be a bomb. Pamana numbaaah 1. LOL
WAHHHHHHHH we just went there earlier sa Mahogany and the food was good. Didn't expect na mapupuntahan ko ang napuntahan mo Ate Jessica. I always watch your paborito series they are dbest.
2:57 Jess: "bakit andito po kayo (sa tagaytay)? Tita :" we are here because you are here!" We are avid fans of you!" The best si tita na avid fan ni jessica 💯
I don’t think Jaytee’s and Cecilia’s Buco Pie deserved to be removed from the ‘Paboritos’ in Tagaytay just because they have a lot of branches. They do have a lot of branches but onlyyy in Tagaytay lang talaga ‘cause they became famous in that place. And if i’m not mistaken, the purpose of Paborito series is to find a place na worth it i-try if napunta ka sa lugar na yun (which is Tagaytay). Especially Cecilia’s ‘cause the reason why dumami na branches nila is basically to cater more customers in different areas in Tagaytay. My personal favorite in Tagaytay is actually Cecilia’s and Rowena’s, mainly for their Buko Tart! So whenever I go to Tagaytay, ang best place na naiisip ko talaga is ayan Cecilia’s, Rowena’s saka Colette’s.
Glad you chose Mahogany Market as your top pick 👏🏼. Take if from someone that's from Tagaytay, next time try these places: bag of beans (cheese cake) and Mer-Ben tapsilogan.
Thank you to Madam in Red who Recommend this Bulalo im gonna Tried this when i go to Tagaytay heheh, i like Jessica Content like this! and ofcourse Trabaho series:)
Also if you're visiting Tagaytay again for the Bulalo, there's one spot where you can enjoy it alongside a really good ''cliffhanger'' view, and that's if you're traversing to Tagaytay via Marcos' Twin Mansion route. Really good views while you're eating
I just want to let you know that you are my favorite food reviewer! Unlike other food vloggers who simply say that the food is delicious or flavorful without any explanation, you take the time to provide detailed and structured reviews. I appreciate how you describe the distinct flavors and textures of the food, and how you incorporate your previous experiences with food into your reviews.
Hello Jessica, just to add - the tawilis you ate are very small pa - fingerlings ika nga. The adult size is double / triple in size. Fishing tawilis is not allowed during the summer months (usually from March - April) because of the preservation. I actually hated the Batangas episode of paborito cause what they recommended were mostly "lomi" and lomi varies from places to places in Batangas. If you like tawilis, I hope you can visit Batangas again - Particularly the Talisay / San Nicolas area where our maliputo, tilapia, tawilis and bangus are top notch. Try the sinigang na tawilis next time I'm sure you'll love it. --- Also have to agree with your paborito, mahogany is so much more sulit than those expensive restaurants with the view. weird din na di sila nag recommend ng cripsy mushrooms , medyo staple yun sa mahogany.
i think the "5 branch rule" should not be applied if the branches are in the the same area or not widespread across the country. Not sure where the branches of Cecilia's are, pero sayang na di natry ni Jessica haha. I'm not familiar with it also as a laking NCR.
Yung kinainan nya sa mahogany..we went there and ordered...at it's a prank - di ganyan kalaki ang serving nila!!!!!they are scammers....se didnt check it kasi to go po...pgdating sa bahay parang di ka mabubusog puro sabaw..
Seems like FBM is the Place.. but I could see the vlogger already sweating 😓 because there is no inside air-conditioning there 😅. However maybe they will open at night when it is cooler
You should try Farmer's Table and My Country House. Best restaurant in Tagaytay! I swear these restaurants will not disappoint. Best to share the meal with your family. A lot of balik-bayans go here.
I know matagal na ginagawa ni Jessica 'to pero I really find it nice of her to always ask the establishments if pede siya mag-vlog. Other than ang respectful, ang cute cute lang. Hahahaha
Hi Jessica, how's your family? I've been waiting for your next vlog and finally you uploaded a new one 😊 Hopefully soon we've bump on each other i really want to meet you in person 🥰
From the intro, i knew it's gonna be tawilis!!!! My fave! Nakakamiss huhu and yes kumain na rin kami dyan sa taas ng bilihan ng mga karne. Fun experience!
We've been doing wedding events in tagaytay in since 2016 and I swear that mahogany's bulalo is the best in terms of price and taste. Most of those famous places there are just overrated.
OMGGG !! I hope to see you soon sa Tagaytay again, May bahay kami dyan near at market and dinadaan daanan ko lang ung mga restaurants Upstairs , sayannggg hindi kita nakita , ILY 🤍
Finally another Paborito series vlog! Sobrang iba din talaga ng lasa ng tawilis nung first time ko makatikim nun before pero natinik ako for some reason hahaha!
Hi ate Jessica, your Paborito series makes me miss home 🫶🏻 whenever I miss the Philippines, I make sure to watch your videos bc it makes me feel like I’m back home. Hope you can film more of these 🙏🏻
As a local in tagaytay, saan masarap mag bulalo??? Hmm.. bulalo sa bahay namin! 😂 Punta ka sa mga outskirts ng tagaytay like alfonso Indang masarap mag ilog! ❤
i think the beef you ate the second time around was grass fed, they tend to have strong taste, and also the reason why the marrow is having yellow color to it.
After spending a year in Tagaytay, I can confidently say that Tuazon's kitchenette is one of the top dining spots in the area. Me and my lolo always eat there at least once a week!
atlast, thanks naman ms jessica at may bago ka ng upload. nakakamiss lalo ung trabaho series. favortie past time namin ng mga anak ko. everyday ata ako natingin kung me upload na. hehw
the small karinderya before you go up in people's park located directly in the curved street.. for high end I always eat at Balay Dako. Mahogany market bulalo tastes like beef cube bulalo.
Masarap yung sa mga karinderya medyo homey lutongbahay vibes , pag mga restaurant iba na parang commercialize na? Just my opinion 😊 i hope i can vlog too in Tagaytay ❤
The pinakamasarap na Bulalo that I had was Arcem Foods in Ibaan, Batangas. Also, their Guyabano Lumpia. However, I'm not sure if they're still open since we ate way back in 2019 pa.
Tagaytay local here and a really big fan!!! I really think Jessica missed out on some amazing local food - I hope next time she'll go to smaller carienderias like within the baranggays. Those spots she visited are just popular with tourists.
Just came from Tagaytay and I recommended Mahogany market for the Bulalo cause I remembered this vlog but sadly FBM is closed. For your next paborito I hope you go to Fairview, QC. ❤
9:06 Endemic not Endangered lol. I was like why is she saying that the Tawilis is Endangered? Endemic means that they only are found in that area. I doubt it would be endangered cause that means it would be illegal to fish and sell those.
It’s actually classified as endangered by IUCN. The species is threatened by overfishing. A conservation project in 2021 was started resettling some of the tawilis at UPLB.
endemic and endangered, local ako dito. actually niloloko na lang yung ibang turista, di na tawilis yung binebenta sa mga restaurant kundi maliliit na salt water sardines.
It's endangered, the fish population is on a decline due to overfishing..that is why it was declared endangered..get the f_ck out of your nutshell and read the news.
This particular vlog of yours made me subscribe to your channel. I've been seeing your videos before but this time, I really enjoyed watching how joyful you ate in the different food places. It was entertaining to the point that I wanted to visit Tagaytay again. Thanks!
13:15 they probably sold you "salinyasi" or salt water sardine. Tawilis is also known as fresh water sardine and has small minimal scales. But in terms of taste, its just the same. Btw,im from mendez cavite, 5mins away from tagaytay.
Next time you visit Tagaytay, visit Sizzlingan ni Aling Meng (try their T-bone steak) and Rowena’s for dessert (specifically, strawberry cheese tart)! 🤗
Oohh i wish na mging interviewee mko someday haha defintely ung tuazons pares! 4 d win tlga! Syang d nasbi ung fav nmin puntahan prati ung mushroom burger! Sonyas garden din oh, Sawa n kmi sa bulalo ng tgaytay 😅 halos lhat ng resto dyn my gnun na,pro pg bulalo, bulalo point dun s pinaka malayo kc instagramable ung place nila, my bumblebee pa ngyn i thnk my karaoke ata cla ngyn
The eyebrows of truth speaks hahahaha I lived in Cavite way back elementary days, and I always go with my grandma to go to palengke. She goes there in Mahogany to buy meats, and after that we always get breakfast on the second floor. She had a suki there before but last year when I visited, that place isn't there anymore.
I love your videos. But I hope as you go through the paborito series you also understand that sometimes you cannot limit the “best” and “most local” Filipino food to the ones which look like turo-turo or carinderia. Sometimes the good ones become big restaurants and chains. I mean they did not become that successful for nothing, di ba? Personally I believe Filipino food does not have a standard taste and should not be boxed into “this is what bulalo is” or “this is the real bulalo taste”. There are so many variations of Filipino food that you cannot define it in a very specific way. Looking forward to more of your Filipino food explorations!!
Before it became Rosario by Vikings, it used to be Josephine's. It's my family's go-to place whenever we go to Tagaytay and we wanted to eat somewhere with a view. Sad that the 2 branches of Josephine's are no long non-existent.

Finally may vlog na rin, namiss ko ang series mo Jess, Lagi Ako nag aabang ng vlog mo. Heheheh ❤

another non traditional Filipino spot that's also good is Hill Barn Cafe and Restaurant.
Mahogany the OG!!!!
Also Tawilis is endemic, not endangered. You can only get them in Tagaytay, much like how Mangoes are to Zambales or Guimaras.
Nope.
"In 2018, the International Union for Conservation of Nature declared the tawilis an endangered species, triggering the two-month “closed season,” or fishing ban.Feb 19, 2024"
Your autopsy report is outdated daw haha
Endemic and endangered are not mutually exclusive. While tawilis is endemic to the location you mentioned, it is also endangered.
huh? "Only" eh galing Batangas ung Tawilis hindi naman sa Tagaytay. san banda ang Taal LAKE sa Tagaytay?
yep, you can see the lake from Tagaytay, but the lake is in a different province :P
finally, Paborito episodes is back!! Fan here, Ms. jessica!! hopefully magawi ka dini sa quezon province
I really love watching your vlogs ate Jessica. It's very light and gives a good vibe. Hope to see you someday.💜
I love that Jessica always politely says "OG" whenever the place is not fancy. She's also always down to try stuff even if it's not something that she likes initially. That's how we get to learn how we might like food that we're a bit scared of.
you're baaackkk!! aaaa!!! welcome backk!! i missed u so muchhh!!! 💚
Very natural...better than other vlo...walang arte arte, over re acting or pretentions if the food is good or not that good
Notice me Jessica. LOL
We tried pamana din and the foods are really good talaga!! Kahit yung regular breakfast meals nila pasabog ih
Sige po, when we go to Tagaytay, we will try Pamana, instead of Balay..
WAHHHHHHHH we just went there earlier sa Mahogany and the food was good. Didn't expect na mapupuntahan ko ang napuntahan mo Ate Jessica. I always watch your paborito series they are dbest.

The buco pies are mabilis masold out for a reason. Masarap talaga sila HAHAHAHHAA kaya best to buy pag umaga or hapon. Pag pagabi na, halos wala na
True! I wish she had tried Jaytee's instead...na dinadayo for bulalo. RSM has many branches outside Tagaytay.
She's asking for permission first before entering any Establishment. That goes to show how respectful she is! 🙏💛
You should try or research Camiling Chicharron in Tarlac and compare to it's neighboring towns and I bet that would attract a lot of viewers
You should've tried cha's garden jessica... Their bulalo in my mind and taste is the best and the tastiest and the softest...
Also if you're visiting Tagaytay again for the Bulalo, there's one spot where you can enjoy it alongside a really good ''cliffhanger'' view, and that's if you're traversing to Tagaytay via Marcos' Twin Mansion route. Really good views while you're eating

Jessica is a Korean by blood but Filipina by heart and culture. Napakasimply mo at madali kang makak9nek sa mga ordinaryong tao.
jessica you should try paborito series in pasay. but specially they will recommnend you to diwata pares.
HAHHA ur editor is the best!! The captions always make me laugh. Like from the gulay girl to tawilis gurl😂😂
However maybe they will open at night when it is cooler
pls try Soup #5 or Gokong in Town of Caloocan City in 8th ave. Tony's Carenderia since 1960's
you've come so far. i've been here since 100k era🥺
She's become such a professional RUclipsr. I've been here since her vlogs in Korea era
Same here
try to visit Mindanao naman like davao, CDO, gensan for food trip
I'm not sure though, but I think the beef in FBM is grass-fed that's why the color of the bone marrow is more yelllow'ish...
It’s me, who is always waiting for your vlog. I don’t know about Tagaytay. What’s all about Tagaytay? The weather?
You should try Farmer's Table and My Country House. Best restaurant in Tagaytay! I swear these restaurants will not disappoint. Best to share the meal with your family. A lot of balik-bayans go here.
I know matagal na ginagawa ni Jessica 'to pero I really find it nice of her to always ask the establishments if pede siya mag-vlog. Other than ang respectful, ang cute cute lang. Hahahaha
you should also try trabaho series like konduktor ng bus. because its really OG vibes in PH.
Hi Jessica, how's your family?
I've been waiting for your next vlog and finally you uploaded a new one 😊
Hopefully soon we've bump on each other
i really want to meet you in person 🥰
From the intro, i knew it's gonna be tawilis!!!! My fave! Nakakamiss huhu and yes kumain na rin kami dyan sa taas ng bilihan ng mga karne. Fun experience!
Ms. Jessica you should try visiting Lucban, Quezon for your next Paborito series coz there’s a lot of local eateries/restaurants there 🥰
while watching you eating and liking Tawilis made me wanna try it. As a Cebuano who’s having a hard time having this kind of fish on our islands.
My idol went to tagaytay 😍 omggggg! Please try the mushroom burger! They only have 2 branches nationwide ❤
Finally another Paborito series vlog! Sobrang iba din talaga ng lasa ng tawilis nung first time ko makatikim nun before pero natinik ako for some reason hahaha!
Try Aviles bulalo in Calamba, Laguna :) OG since 1965! ❤
Hi Jessica, I saw this vlog. Went to eat at FBM. Thank you for the recommendation. I really like their bulalo. Hindi masebo.
The aunties are so chika. Sarap ng mga pagkain. Enjoyed this episode. Go lang ng go, Jess.
They also have unli barako coffee. We always go there in Mahogany for bulalo and tawilis. =)
Hi! I’ve been an avid fan of yours. How ‘bout doing Paborito series here in Cebu?
Hi Jessica and team hope you visit us here in Baguio dn. You look so much like Kim Go Eun po. I'm just saying.❤😊
Hi ate Jessica, your Paborito series makes me miss home 🫶🏻 whenever I miss the Philippines, I make sure to watch your videos bc it makes me feel like I’m back home. Hope you can film more of these 🙏🏻

ilang months lang ako di nanood sayo jessica lee, gumaling ka na magtagalog
i think the beef you ate the second time around was grass fed, they tend to have strong taste, and also the reason why the marrow is having yellow color to it.
After spending a year in Tagaytay, I can confidently say that Tuazon's kitchenette is one of the top dining spots in the area. Me and my lolo always eat there at least once a week!
I love how spontaneus this is.
the small karinderya before you go up in people's park located directly in the curved street..
for high end I always eat at Balay Dako.
Mahogany market bulalo tastes like beef cube bulalo.
I suggest you go to Taal, Batangas. Vigan of the South (history and religion). Food is Trip Advisor levels!
That Mahogany market place is where we would go after a night out drinking all the way from Laguna, back in college.
Endemic lang kasi yung Tawilis Jessica, hindi endangered 😁
Jessica embrace the culture of Filipinos. Thank you❤ loveyou
Super happy my paborito na uli. Kapag bulalo sa mahogany talaga kami kumakain. Nakakamiss. ❤
Finally, our Korean Ate is backkkk!! I've missed your PABORITO series☺💗
As a person from Bacolod, I am still hopeful and waiting that Jessice will shoot a Paborito video here
Masarap yung sa mga karinderya medyo homey lutongbahay vibes , pag mga restaurant iba na parang commercialize na? Just my opinion 😊 i hope i can vlog too in Tagaytay ❤
Tawilis is sooo gooood❤
I really hope the officials near taal lake will take care of the tawilis population.
The pinakamasarap na Bulalo that I had was Arcem Foods in Ibaan, Batangas. Also, their Guyabano Lumpia. However, I'm not sure if they're still open since we ate way back in 2019 pa.
Your Tagalog has improved exponentially Jessica……I’m so proud of you💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
yey, finally na try mo nadin bulalo and tawilis sa mahogany market, yan palagi namin order and go to place
Finally Meron ulit, lagi ako naghihintay ng new vlog mo..
Tagaytay local here and a really big fan!!! I really think Jessica missed out on some amazing local food - I hope next time she'll go to smaller carienderias like within the baranggays. Those spots she visited are just popular with tourists.

Research muna bago mag marunong
This particular vlog of yours made me subscribe to your channel. I've been seeing your videos before but this time, I really enjoyed watching how joyful you ate in the different food places. It was entertaining to the point that I wanted to visit Tagaytay again. Thanks!
I vlog also recently in Tagaytay, i went to mahogany market too, but different stall i tasted the bulalo and chicharong bulaklak there?! 😊
Sana matry mo rin yung work na "conductor" sa trabaho seriesss🥺🥺
Wow nman ang galing galing na ni Jessica mag Tagalog Kababayan 🥰🥰🥰
I ordered some Tawilis my last trip to Tagatay. That has to be the perfect beer food. I tell you I could hardly stop eating them. 😅😅😅
Finally! Paborito is back! Miss you, my lodi!😊❤ will try FBM canteen as soon as I get to visit Tagaytay.
13:15 they probably sold you "salinyasi" or salt water sardine. Tawilis is also known as fresh water sardine and has small minimal scales. But in terms of taste, its just the same.
Btw,im from mendez cavite, 5mins away from tagaytay.
The old mahogany before they renovate everything, is the best place for me.. way back 15yrs ago! anyway i'm from Dasma XD
You should try to visit nasugbu batangas. Next place from Tagaytay 😊
New sub here ang cute mo mag tagalog hehe
Nakakamiss na tuloy mag tagaytay 😊
Next time you visit Tagaytay, visit Sizzlingan ni Aling Meng (try their T-bone steak) and Rowena’s for dessert (specifically, strawberry cheese tart)! 🤗
LZM! Specially the bangus prito or inihaw. You can eat sa bahay nila mismo sa silang.

Good flow of interview, I can keep on listening for hours. She is full of wisdom and a great speaker. ❤

sana gumawa ka nalang ng sariling vlog mo
@@AL-yo9hn OA na fan di ka papatulan ni jessica kahit anong pagpapakab0b0 mo haha
How long have you been staying in PI? Superb yung Tagalog mo po😀
VLOG SUGGESTION: TRY DIWATA PARES OVERLOAD 😅😅❤❤🎉
I enjoyed this episode, I always liked Jessica's honest review, you rarely see these kinds of food review videos.
Before it became Rosario by Vikings, it used to be Josephine's. It's my family's go-to place whenever we go to Tagaytay and we wanted to eat somewhere with a view. Sad that the 2 branches of Josephine's are no long non-existent.
