One of the must sublime moments in aviation ,taking your mom or dad in an airplane ✈️ when you are doing the flight yourself as a pilot. I got my father in a trip when I got my Private, I was 18 years old, 40 years ago .
Yep! It was just over 30 years ago for me as a 19 year old fresh out of high school into a college aviation program. A hotshot ~40 hours freshly minted private ticket who took his dad up who himself had a PPL while in college and a few years afterwards. He recorded it on one of those shoulder-held late 1980s VHS camcorders which I still have today burned in DVD format. I hope you got pics of that if not video. For me the most satisfying/memorable thing though was flying over the house that I grew up in, looking down at that yard where as a kid I flew paper airplanes dreaming one day of being up where I was at that moment. No amount of money could equal that feeling of accomplishment!
@@Nfarce When you get to do something you always wanted to do, and you love it, it's just that much more fun! It's work, but it's almost not work, because you're really doing something that gives you such a great sense of satisfaction.

Fantastic stuff. Don’t we just really love our Mums. They are always smiling, well turned out, ask technical questions of their sons, when really they haven’t a clue what we’re on about, take a well deserved nap when needed and above all they never, never forget the turkey sandwiches!!! And we just love them so!!!! Mine is 82 years young and going strong!!!!

Heck yeah Citation Mom rocks! Love the work she does on behalf of animals, and that you assist her with her work! Plus she is a adorable! Zero pretention! Just so you know, the 20 minute videos are perfect to decompress when I take a break at work! My company requires we take a break but I am not great at relaxation! Be safe Citation 2 Romeo Fox Trot! Especially with “precious cargo” Citation Mom aboard.

First off, what a wonderful video to watch. I wanted to be a Pilot my entire life. Closest I got was CSO for ground services with a major International Carrier - Singapore Airlines. Had worked for several domestic carriers prior to that. I simply love the industry. You're video provided a long imagined and fantasied daydream to the closest reality I will ever have of that scenario, albeit 'vicariously'. It was so endearing and even humorous watching your Mom everytime you spoke with the Tower. She could barely contain her glee over how proud you have made her. I used to daydream of such a scenario with my Mom. Thank you so much for this video. It was so enjoyable.

Back when I lived there, while it did have a tower from when it had been Oxnard Air Force Base, it was an uncontrolled airfield. I hear tell that's no longer the case. 😋
