I used to own A Citation. Awesome Little Jets! A Great Ride & A Pilot's Dream! I've made this exact flight a few times. I was based at Burbank, I'm A Left Coaster, But I've done PLENTY of Right Coast Flying! Yeah, I'm addicted to Flying Too, since my Childhood. I went flying with My Dad, A WWII Pilot, every Sunday Afternoon. My Dad flew Mustangs in The European War.
Presently, I'm looking to buy a WWII Era Conair. Those Gulled Wing Just Do Something For Me, Eventhough I'm Not A Big Fan Of Tail draggers. So far, I haven't found a Conair that doesn't "Need Work!" But your demo ride made me really miss my Citation!
BTW, I'm into The "Flight Sims" too. Just be sure that you don't go on A Sim. Flight While You're Actually Flying that Lovely Citation! ROFL!!!

But when I got my PPL in California in 1981 one of the things I most looked forward to was flying to Meigs. Unfortunately, life intervened and I didn’t get to it. Ultimately, the criminal pig Mayor Daley destroyed Meigs literally in the dead of the night. He stranded multiple airplanes that were either based there or transient. Just got my PPL (process through covid was a disaster).. This is definitely the goal. Its great to see pilots make videos and explain the entire process. It is very informative and that landing was about as smooth as it gets. Anyone watching these vids who take an interest to flying, go get your Private Pilot License. You don't need to be rich to fly, but if you really want it, its achievable. I managed to get it done while on unemployment. Its the best feeling in the world when you take off and land. The views are absolutely stunning. Not to mention pilots make crazy money if you invest in getting a commercial license.

@@klimankhmeron7636 Investing in a commercial pilot license is clearly going to earn you great money working for an airline after you put your time in. Its not to say that it happens overnight as many pilots with a commercial pilots license start out making 5 figures for as little as 3 years before breaking 6 figures. I can't say this about many civilian jobs without a Masters or PhD requirement. Just like any job, if you put the time in, you'll reap the benefits, but airline pilots near retirement are making significantly more than most American households do combined. I could settle for a trade in construction and end up seeing $120k/yr near retirement or stick to flying put in the time and see damn near $200k/yr. Its all about preference and if you can deal with that lifestyle change. I do know that beginner pilots don't see nearly as much (closer to 30k), my cousin started flying for emirates nearly 8 years ago and made the switch to work for Chinese airlines for the significant pay increase but it is a bit of a culture shock for him. He's one of the reasons I decided to take lessons and get my PPL.

I can't brag about how my profession right now can easily bring $120k after even being certified due to competition and easiness comparing to flying a dream liner for the sake of argument. However, for many years I was checking the CP salaries and they never were close to $150k even having thousands of hours of flying experience.

My cousin still has his job thankfully, and rumor has it that they will be needing 40,000 pilots by spring/summer of 2021 assuming the spread of covid has been slowed or detained. Just thought I'd share this info regarding the convo we had. 😉

I was surprised at how long he maintained that offset of the approach vector. In Microsoft Flight Simulator I always try to line up with the runway as soon as possible but real world piloting is entirely different. No-bounce or wobble on a skewed landing I would call greased as well. Good landing.

Hi Max, thanks for sharing these tremendous videos! That was quite the crab angle on final approach! Regarding wake turbulence, it seems like a system could be developed using ADSB information to plot the likely position (taking into consideration wind drift), altitude, and duration of the vortex trails of heavy and large aircraft and then show this information on one of the cockpit displays (like the terrain awareness screen) to assist in vortex avoidance. I was reading some reports of upsets of business jets caused by 757's (not even a heavy aircraft), so this is a problem that needs more attention, even though technically ATC is supposed to provide vortex separation. Stay safe! -Ibrahim
