    Your video saved my bacon on a grid road in Saskatchewan, roughly 100 km from Nowhere in Particular, and 500km from home! Fortunately its my work truck, so I had zip ties, and in short order I was back on the road with a burnt forearm (News flash: exhaust pipes get hot). Thanks for posting this!

    Thank you!!! this was great. The dealership said I had to buy the whole lower cable assembly for $130 because there is some "advanced" engineering around that bushing. LOL

    I just did this this morning. I had to jack my Yukon up a little, I am a big guy... It took me longer to jack it up than to install the part

    Why don’t any of these videos actually show someone putting the bushing on explaining is worthless if you can’t show someone how

      I couldn’t agree more with you. I hate watching videos like this it drives me nuts. Like the whole reason I’m watching it is for that exact part. Putting the actual part on🤣🤣🤣

      lol agreed , I destroyed 2 of them already and watched about 6 vids to see what people did differently.

      Because it’s hell getting them on with one hand. You are wasting your time anyways because this is a temp fix. That bushing is going to shrink again in a year or two especially if you live where the temp is above 100.

      If anyone here is still having the issue, they sell a slightly more expensive version of this bushing that isn’t a pressure fit, it just slides in and has a retaining ring for the other side, I didn’t wanna deal with press fitting anything, and it worked a charm

      @Vndcatr 24 дня назад

      @@nathanwinsor7 I put on the kit you get from Oreillys , didn’t hold on the linkage worth a damn . So I just took off the bracket on the trans and drilled the end , put in a cotter pin . Problem solved

    Hard to believe original design is a snap on plastic bushing for a control of transmission. Ya would think it would have a positive metal retainer

      If you get the right bushing. Put it in hot water. It softens it up and it popped right in

    • @bobbieprice1351
      @bobbieprice1351 Месяц назад

      How hot water? How long u leve it in?@@ryanclevengersr

    • @ryanclevengersr
      @ryanclevengersr Месяц назад

      @@bobbieprice1351 I did for about 5 to 10 min. Until it was squisy to get it in . And then, when you connect it to shift lever I sprayed with cool water to make rigid, then press it onto the shifter. Then you might need to use a flat head screwdriver and press the edge gently where the plastic bushing sets behind the recessed head

      14055 come with 2 pieces. One for the linkage under the dash and one for the tranny area. Sifting thru the comments everyone is using the clear one because they can't get the white one to fit. I only saw a couple of comments where people said it only held a few days to a couple weeks.

    How about using a 3D printer and print something more durable...

    • @iamsuperbleeder
      @iamsuperbleeder  7 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure a 3D printed option would be any stronger to be honest. These are cheap enough and readily available locally, there's really no point.
