The only thing wrong with this show is that there's only 7 shows this last season!!
My absolute favorite series.
Please hurry back❤️❤️❤️❤️
Totally agreed 👍😉❤️
YES THIS IS THE BEST SHOW EVERR
Jim bear.yes.i couldnt agree more.i love this series
@@Battlady57 , I watched the whole 2 series on Britbox , here in Australia, can’t wait for series 3. This adaptation actually beats the original & I love that James is an actual Scotsman!
Mrs Hall really loves Siegfried.
Love it!! Can’t wait for more!! I wish each season was a bit longer!!❤️
Anna Madeley's voice relaxes me a lot.
I love this show so much. The chemistry between the actors is so awesome and the writing is so great. I can't wait to see what Tristan gets into. Thank you for such a great show.
I adored the original, but I also love this new adaptation! The seem very different but in the best way. It is nice the changes they've made to keep me wondering how it will play out. Yet, at the same time I get so giddy with excitement when a scene uses scenes from the original. I feel like this show is a perfect balance of paying homage to the original while keeping it new and fresh. I haven't read the books, and they are on my list!
The books are an absolute delight to read and you really must as they give so much more insight and lots and lots of good belly laughs. The books got me hooked and the series continue to enthrall me.
I am big fan of the original series and its cast of Christopher Timothy, Robert Hardy, Carol Drinkwater, Peter Davison and Mary Hignet, who were all superb in portraying such memorable and beloved characters.
So, when a new ACGAS was announced, I wasn’t sure if I would like it. After watching seasons one and two, I think the new ACGAS is absolutely outstanding!
Samuel West is a fine successor to the late, great Robert Hardy as the imperious and highly competent Siegfried Farnum. And, Nicholas Ralph and Rachel Shenton are superb as James and Helen Herriot, respectively, key roles in which Christopher Timothy and the beautiful Carol Drinkwater were so great in the original series.
Callum Woodhouse is also terrific as the irrepressible Tristan Farnum. Although Mr. Woodhouse’s Tristan is a bit more serious and reserved than Peter Davison’s sometimes irresponsible and always class-clownish Tristan was. The time that the original Tristan placed that “Naturist” magazine among the magazines in the vets’ waiting room was very funny, as was the time he donned a monk’s robe and pretended to be the ghost of a murdered monk, chanting in Latin and walking around the ruins of a 15th century abbey as poor James was driving home from a late house call!
It’s very interesting how the new show’s writers have made the character of Mrs. Hall even more important and significant. The late Mary Hignet was so wonderful as the very proper and Rock of Gibraltar-like Farnum housekeeper. I remember that extremely moving scene, in which James Herriot says goodbye to a tearful Mrs. Hall as he’s about to join the Royal Air Force after war with Germany is declared. Ms. Hignet’s untimely death was a huge loss for the series.
I’m very glad that Anna Madeley has carried on Mary Hignet’s level of excellence as the beloved Mrs. Hall, who in addition to keeping everything and everyone running like clockwork at Skeldale House, has apparently found a kind and decent gentleman friend to begin a prospective romantic relationship with.
I, too, can’t wait for season 3 of ACGAS to air here in the US. This wonderful series is another example of how our British cousins are so adept at making truly memorable and superb television programs.
Plot,character development, romance,science. what a great show.
So looking forward to season 3. What a great cast and I love the stories of all these characters.
That military airplane at the very end of the Christmas special is a harbinger of World War II and how it might impact Darrowby. I wonder if Tristan and James might face choices of marching off to war or staying safely home in the dales. It’s not for nothing we saw Mrs. Hall looking worriedly out the window at that aircraft flying over Darrowby. It’s a harbinger of what’s to come in Season 3, the advent of war and how that’s going to affect everyone’s lives. Nobody will be untouched by it. And that’s going to make for a bit of a suspenseful Season 3 as World War II begins. Can’t wait, but...Seaside 3 is another year away yet, unfortunately. 😥
Please keep it coming. This is my favorite from Masterpiece. Top quality writing and filming. Love the characters.
Agreed! Best I've seen in awhile. A show you can tell people is an absolute delight without any awkward caveats or apologies.
It's so lovely to have a story truly worth watching that is very well produced, with excellent actors, well-developed characters and meaningful relationships
Can’t wait for more of this wonderful show. Every episode makes you to want to see more. Love the cast👏🏻
The filming of beautiful countryside is idyllic, too.
This will be a long year waiting for this amazing new season!! ❤️
I was so sorry when the season ended; I felt such a comfortable bond with all the characters. I look forward to Season 3.........hope it starts soon!
Thank you thank you everyone! 😊🙌🏾 With love♥️🇨🇦🇫🇮
I love this show.
Nice, lovely, clean content.
Yes, it's a truly refreshing alternative to all the other dramas based on crime, immorality, and other nasty things.
That shot of the military aircraft flying across the night sky moon when they were celebrating Christmas, utterly chilled me.
What a amazing season!! Lovely Christmas 🎄 episode.
Yes-- things will change as WWII looms. The end of the Christmas 🎄 episode-- which was so fitting. Touching.
Can't wait for season 3.
Thank you for providing such a lovely thing we all can watch and enjoy! Thank you so much!
We're so glad you're enjoying it!
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed television this much.
Totally agree!
British programs are the best
This is my happy place to go to. Love it all :-)
I loved both series and await season 3. I have every DVD of the old and new series. 🐄 I wish there were more episodes in this one though.
Whoa whoa whoa, still in season 1 here, already LOVING it but wasn't ready for the spoilers lol. Hey guys, just wanted to say my wife and I LOVE the show! You're doing everything right. Great acting, intelligent scriptwriting, rich characters, honor, sweetness, gorgeous scenery, interesting stories, not over the top drama, not lacing in erotica, not trying too hard. Oh my word, keep it up! This is wonderful television. Don't change a thing. Don't be pressured to make it edgier or darker or more sexual (oh my word no) or more soap-opera-ey. Just keep doing exactly what you're doing. A delightful, non-over-dramatic pleasure. And please receive my wife's and my highest gratitude for a show that was just what our souls needed!
Love from Northern Illinois, USA!
Love the new series!
Keep it coming!! 🥰🥰
The best show i've ever seen .it makes me love people and it gives me hope in humanity so thank you for this wonderful series
I know I've posted before, but I i just can't help myself. I absolutely adore this show and love escaping real life with this delightful little show. They just re-ran all of season 4 on PBS here in Ontario , Canada, ending two Sunday's ago and it was just as wonderful the second time around. I ended up missing about 4 of the past seasons espisode and was so happy to save Sunday night at 9 pm. again. I read the books way back when i became a "milkmaid" for a herd of Holsteins and had a different appreciation with the books since i had some real life knowledge of some of the medical vet stuff. I loved "my" cows i say.
I viewed the original but I feel that the New adaption is so much better. Wonderful to look forward to season 3 next year!🙏
The original was great, but I have to say this remake surpasses it. It is rare that a remake is as good, let alone better. Also James is a proper Scot here as author Alf Wight was. Never understood why in the first series he was played by an English actor (Christopher Timothy) who wasn't allowed to even attempt a Scottish accent. It made no sense. We are already into Season 3 here in the UK and it's every bit as good as the two previous, so you are in for a treat.
Yay. I can hardly wait.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Can't wait for season 3 and hopefully a few more episodes!
Fantastic show, looking forward to the 3rd season. I loved the original but they have done such a good job of the new All Creatures
This is a beautiful story, it's title depicts a different scenerio than the story, and it catches your imagination. Great show, I hope it never ends, but all good things do and it will........
I absolutely love this show! Cant wait for Season 3!! 😊💛
Wonderful series..can’t wait for the next one
One of my favorite moments: "Don't lass me."
Looking forward to the next season. Such a beautiful show.
An absolutely amazing show! I so loved it.
Let’s have TEN episodes plus the Christmas special, please, please?
Longer please!! Love this show!
Love this show absolutely lovely when you watch you feel with every episode
Such a fantastic story
Love this show!
Change is definitely coming! The plane flying over the house on Christmas Day announced some dark days approaching... 😢😢
Can’t wait for season 3!
Can't wait for season 3.
I love it, can't wait for season 3 next year in 2023.💖
We've got season 3 in NZ already. Season 3 Xmas special is screening 29th December. There's 7 episodes all up in Season 3, wish there were more.
Can’t wait for season 3
SERIES!!!! Not bleeding season. Seasons are spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Ben Vanstone has done a brilliant job of structuring and writing. The actors are great (even if Siegfried triggers PTSD). Would love to see Jenny get a story line, too. Looking forward to S3.
Brill brill.i luv it.great series.
Hope we don’t have to wait too long!
I’m guessing we’ll see season 3 air sometime in 2023.
can't wait to see S3.
My favorite show
I canty wait to see it!!!!
Since James and Helen are about to make it official, I really hope that Siegfried and Mrs. Hall make it official as well. Those two just seem to have a real chemistry together to me.
I love will Thorp and his character.(Gerald) ❤
Wonderful series
When is season 3 coming out?
could you reload the video of this bird-eye view of darrowby? thanks a lot
I am so excited about season 3! I’m an just loving this show! It makes me so happy, just like Downton Abbey did for me. I wonder if Mrs. Hall fell in love and got married, would she end up moving away from Skeldale house? Also, we know that war is on the horizon.. I wonder if Tristan and James will end up getting involved with the war in any way
Is Downtown Abbey an English program also. Never seen it, is it worth watching?
Yes. Downtown Abby, its just like all creatures great and small, you get hooked and it's never boring.
Abbey
Season 3.333333333 ? I'm ready! 👍😉❤️
I'm still waiting 👍😉❤️ lol
I look forward to the you tube content, also. Now that's over as well! 😢
Looking at my PBS station which played S 2 E5 on the 13th of Feb. and can't find anymore =. Guess it will return.
Looking forward to it !!! When might it be ? Have they started filming yet ? Siegfried needs a new lady friend. Tristan has no girl right now, unheard of. Mrs Hall needs to find somebody more fun. Tricky Woo has a girl named Bella and is looking at fatherhood. His mommy has no sense of humor, nice lady but not funny by any stretch of the imagination.
Siegfried has a great lady friend. Tristan needs to take the women he's with more seriously! Mrs. Hall has found a wonderful person well-suited to her and Tricky's mommy is hilarious. Did you even watch this????
I like thé new mrs. Pumphrey. Diana Rigg, wasn't the right person to play mrs. Pumphrey. But in thé Avengers, she played Emma Peel. That was thé part she played wonderfull.
I really liked Tristan in the second series more than the first. He was showing maturity and responsibility. Callum played the character well I thought.
At the end of season 2 Christmas episode was the plan for Jess to ruin the game by jumping on it or was it spontaneous? Just wondering...
Good question. Spontaneous. Just watched a Q&A where it’s revealed the dog (actor) got bored and jumped on the game, and they just went with it to close the series
Yes, what I would like to see is a liitle bit more reality in the North Yorkshire weather... too many sunny days.. It's just not like that. give me some Rain ..wind and whatever is always up there...💮💮💮💮💮⚡☔🌂🌨🌫know what I mean..
The third season is approved? Isn’t the book the script? How much reimagined?... confused.
So, I'm left to search and hope, search and hope....
by strong woman, he means...mrs hall
I want to marry Mrs. Hall!!! I LOVE HER!!
Sorry not to see Dorothy in series two.
I read that in real life James doesn’t marry Helen. He marries a lady called joan
James Herriot was his pen name, his real name is James Wight. And Helen is Joan, Helen is the name he gave her in the book.
Yeah, 3rd season... But shud. More episodes then 6...
This was a let down compared to season one. Maybe they can up their game for season 3. The book has a lot of good source material that can be used.
STICK TO THE BOOKS!!!!
That’s what I don’t understand... how much leeway is given? These were real people...
@@randalllaue4042 In the original All Creatures great and Small, Alf White (James Herriot) only allowed the BBC to make it if they followed the books to the letter. After series 3, when they had exhausted the books, the BBC had to send him the scripts for his approval. This should not be about some mystic alternative 1930's Yorkshire Dales that has 2022 sensibilities.
@@scendalbymodelrailway that’s the problem with all the reimagined stories now. There are so many wonderful unknown stories that never get published... it’s time the real stories are known. Not hidden from people.
But you teased a world war at the end of season 2! What about that? Bombs! Explosions! Car crashes! James should kill Hitler! God knows we've already departed enough from the books and actual history!
Show is cute but I cannot stand the way Helen is portrayed. Shenton just doesn’t pull it off.
Please replace Shenton with Sara Vickers.
I am really disappointed in the show. Having been a fan of the books and even the TV show of the 70s, I just don't see the spirit in this new show. Isn't it all suppose to be about the animals? The books were and so was the first TV show. This new show, just seems to be a show about a guy who just happens to be a vet and his love life. Plus they have also discovered that Mrs H is a popular character. Hence she is there all of the time.
They've taken up two seasons now of James and Helen and Mrs H......and they are still only engaged.....I can see where next year is going...James and Helen will have their ups and downs, Mrs Pumphrey and Tricki Woo will be on about every other show and, in the middle of it all, Mrs. H will be there in almost every scene. Go back to the books. Show these vets tending to these animals (other than Tricki)
You can always watch the older versions instead. This one seems to be for us that is more interested in humans and their lives.
@@monicacreates But aren't about 90% of the shows out there about that? You don't have to go far these days to find TV shows about romance.
I just read the laws have changed for filming animals. Make it very difficult and time consuming for the scenes involving examinations of large animals.
