Smart move, great interview. Own some BCM products, now I'll own more. Always great to see and hear from the core of a company. Paul clearly isn't an ivory castle CEO, he's a front line leader. Lends tremendous credibility. Thanks
That's why BCM is an industry leader. Nothing but good things coming from BCM. They're currently the only ones to offer a way to free float a SOCOM barrel without having to remove a front sight post (i.e. Colt's 14.5 SOCOM barrel). But bring back the duel alloy KMR. And could you offer a BCM fixed front and rear (chopped carry handle) picatinny sight?
idk why the military doesn't adopt the bcm bcg cuz i only hear good things about it, and have heard about soldiers changing out their basic milspec bcg's for bcm bcg's (one was a navy seal there is a vid) But i agree with what you said, i like how dd has their own iron sights (which should come on all models) that work like fixed sights but you can take em off.
I took a BCM BCG to Afghanistan because the abused, cruddy BCG in my M4 was trash. I relied on their product in country and I enjoy my BCM AR back at home, it's just quality and works the way it should without question. I think when it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter what you do, but WHY you do it, and this interview sheds light on why Paul does what he does and what they believe in -and to me, that's even more important than WHAT they do. I wish every product was manufactured with the quality and purpose that BCM has.
Yeah, no POWs (privately-owned weapons) allowed in theater although it has been known to happen. You can pretty much smuggle anything in, but being seen carrying it around or trying to take it back home is the problem. It's been done and there are ways to do it, but it would destroy your career if you got caught so I wouldn't ever do it. I took a BCM BCG to Afghanistan -we use BCG to refer to the bolt carrier group. The BCG is just a component of an M4/AR15, but not the actual firearm. For anyone else unfamiliar with the AR15, the BCG is the bolt, firing pin, bolt cam, firing pin retainer pin, and the carrier itself. The BCG is kind of the heart and soul of an AR-pattern rifle (along with the barrel), but of any parts on the rifle you want your BCG to be top-notch, and my issued and trashed BCG was not up to the job. On our last M4 range before we shipped out, my rifle was a jamomatic and it got deadlined on the range, I had to borrow someone else's rifle just to qualify. Our armorers and armament shop were not up to standard at the time, and a surprising number of weapons we took were actually broken and had to be fixed upon arrival. But for clarification, again, the bolt carrier group (BCG) is not the actual firearm for anybody who may have thought it was. That would be the lower receiver in the case of the M4/AR15. Hope that helps. -Mr. 2nd
Come work in a gun shop and you'll hear all types of people that took their personal weapons... XD mostly by people who look like they have never did 1 pull-up in their lives.
First AR rifle I ever bought was BCM. After research and testing, BCM was the clear choice. I'm proud to own and Trust my life to my BCM. It has Never failed me and is a work horse. Thank you BCM and Mr. Vickers for this video.
Utmost respect to both you guys. Thanks for what you do for the shooting community. I bought a BCM carry handle recently and it wasn't cheap, but I don't mind paying more for uncompromising quality. After watching this video you guys both gained a customer for life.
I was saving my money for a Daniel defense, but now from watching this I'm going for a BCM. Not only will i save money for what i want but also get equal if not better quality.
My Daniel Defense was the reason why I got a BCM (Well actually just a BCM-upper on a Colt lower-Dan Def-BCG) Don't get me wrong my Daniel is a great rifle, but I have ran into some quarks. The rail for one has been an issue. They don't loc-tite the screws that hold the rail in place, and they will come loose, and the rail will move.
usernamunavailiable did you see the Nutnfancy & AKOU video on the Daniel defense rail? They both reported the same issue with the rail moving. Rob Ski's rail moved even after applying locktite
I am so proud of Americans who have started a company from scratch, and insure quality. I learned about Bravo Mfg. from Dan Bongino who I hold enormous respect. I am from Mn, but also lived in WI and went to college there. Lots of great people! This kind of company supports our country in the best way.
Good stuff. Army, here ... SOTIC grad. Six combat tours. Retired, now, and I am still alive ... sort of. I inherently appreciate your attention to detail, and I use your stuff. The weapon is a tool. Nothing more, nothing less. A troop is only as good as the tool(s) he/she wields. This is an awesome video. Paul, let's have beers. You're 30 minutes away. I'll bring the snacks! What's your favorite crayon color? :-)
just bought a 16'upper in 5.56 with your BCG and i have to say I am beyond satisfied with my purchase. ..I will never buy an other brand...the price and quality is perfect!
Have monitored and eventually purchased a few items from BCM to date. Thus far, products have exceeded expectations. I'm too broke to buy cheap gear. I'm nobody special. I choose my tools based on materials and manufacturing practices, customer support, . As a mechanic and shooter, my tools put food on the table. Tools break, but the work I get from them determines their value. BCM, DD, 10-8, G-Code, etc. have proven their worth, to me.
"I'm too broke to buy cheap gear." That's got to be one of the smartest, greatest quotes I've ever heard in my life. Makes so much sense. Unfortunately most of us don't realize that until it's too late.
My first and only rifle is the Recce 16. I looked and read lots of reviews from others (SA, PSA, DD, SW, ect) and after finding BCM and reading their reviews with their dedication to quality and reliability I went ahead and plunk down on the Recce 16. Buy once cry once.
Thanks for the great interview. It's good to see that Paul treats not only his customers well, but his employees too. I just recently purchased a BCM rifle and cannot say enough about the reliability and build quality. I will be a returning customer.
Love that Trans Am. I got to drive one in 1978 and I still remember the power of that car. Burt Reynolds personal Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am just sold at Carlisle for $170k in April.
Great Interview!! Love seeing the owners involved in their business!! I do not posses a BCM rifle or assessors, but I am seriously happy for the caliber of quality from BCM of those I know who own them. Well Done!! Thanks!
Thank you for the free handguard and BCG (y'all advertised the BCG, I maxed out my Credit cause of scary bills in my state, couldn't afford to add one but you sent it with one anyway.) Not sure if you felt sorry for me or what, *but much appreciated* *WHAT, A BCM MOTORCYCLE, HOW WHEN, WHERE, TAKE MY MONEY*
wow im happy i got to see this. been searching and watching videos on what ar for my first one. BCM had me sold bout month ago. been going back and forth on so many companies. now i almost have a complete bcm ar15. just need my lower group, some mags, and some ammo. hopefully before the new year. the products i have are super sweet. love everything bout it so far and im sure ill love the whole thing. nice to know im building this rifle from an American guy that knows his sht. thank you sir and all your employees for the high quality work you do. great vid.
I'm a huge BCM fan, but dam I love this guy after looking at those classic dirt bikes. He really caused everyone else to up their game. I love my Colt 6920 but must admit my BCM stuff is nicer
Great video brother! I just recently started building an AR. I acquired a Smith & Wesson M&P15 lower assembly and I've decided to get the BCM 16" upper assembly thanks to you. I was having trouble finding great parts that wouldn't be too much money. That BCM upper assembly is way better than the specs I was originally planning on, plus its cheaper, and they throw in a free BCG! Just need their awesome Gunfighter charging handle and a MOE handguard for now and I got myself a rocking rifle. Later on down the line I'll most likely throw a higher end lower too! BCM just keeps on amazing me and so do you Mr. Vickers! Both of you keep it! Thank you both for your Service!
Love my bcm. Have the eag model. Kind of wished I'd have waited for the kmr but totally happy with the eag model. Awesome vid and interview. Thank you.
This dude... BEST damn rifle on earth. He has risen above Daniel Defense in many aspects. I bet he never guessed he would be THEE TOP. Great American and great products!
I was looking to purchase a high quality AR, and was looking at BCM as well as other options; not looking anymore. Cheers to both of you from up north.
I love BCM. My AR is a Standard Manufacturing AR(very underrated entry level AR, by the way.) But I basically replaced most of the parts so that it is no longer a standard rifle. Some of them right from the beginning I knew I wanted to be BCM. I am going to build more AR style rifle rifles and I fully intend to get a BCM upper and other things. Definitely one of my favorite companies.
They were recently, maybe still, giving free BCGs and they gave me a free hanguard (maxed credit, couldn't afford, I think they maybe felt sorry for me)
Paul is a MARINE, well that solves it i am ordering a BCM for my choice. Thx Paul I’m in middle of my first build now and needed to choose. SEMPER FI BROTHER
I can't wait until I have saved enough to order my BCM RECCE, in bronze cerekote! I have many BCM parts and accessories. I have a Colt LE6920 that has been slowly transforming into a BCM hybrid, but I look forward to having the RECCE.
So this guy makes absolute quality firearms in the USA. He served in the Military. His business is located in my home state of Wisconsin. And he likes muscle cars and motorcycles. This may be the coolest guy on the planet.
Can't go wrong with BCM! Quality products and better yet, they are in my backyard so it is great I can support a local company. I own a BCM HSP Jack Carbine and looking to get another BCM rifle very soon.
Very interesting so thanks for posting. Frankly, I haven't touched an AR/M16 since my first enlistment in the early 70s'. Fast forward to modern day with all that's happening on the news, I decided to buy an AR. Nope, I sure as hell didn't see that coming.
I love BCM actually I love them so much that I can't help but wonder which one of those bikes I paid for! Haha! Thanks for putting out a great product Paul and great interview Larry! I can't even express how good the BCM bolt groups are I run them in every M4 platform I own and have never ever had one jam not one and we are talking tens of thousands of rounds!
That's what the USA is all about, proud to have all BCM furniture on my weapon. Too bad our governmental reps don't share his principles and passion for excellence!!!!!
If they had more receivers and handguards in stock, the gas block seat on their BFH Barrels was .750, and they sold stripped lowers, I'd build every rifle with exclusively BCM parts. Such a great company, awesome products, and such great service.
That's what I love about mine, even though it's a Colt hybrid. I also have a Daniel Defense, but honestly I've ran into too many issues with the rail coming loose. (even after loc-tite-ing it.)
I lived anywhere close I would apply for BCM I’m a Journeyman Ironworker am also a steel worker and certified motor cycle mechanic oh yeah and I build corvettes on the side lol I own a C5 and a C7. I would work for BCM in a heartbeat
BCM products are awesome. All my ARs have BCM Gunfighter charging handles. Everything else is just a copy. Many other items as well and I recommend them to anyone. Charlie Mike
Great video as always, Larry. Paul said that he started his company in 2003 reselling AR-related stuff. What was that stuff exactly and who was the manufacturer?
would love to have a BCM product but they don't have any ability to closely match the demand. I've been on the market for one for over 2 years and always sold out
Smart move, great interview. Own some BCM products, now I'll own more. Always great to see and hear from the core of a company. Paul clearly isn't an ivory castle CEO, he's a front line leader. Lends tremendous credibility. Thanks
Thanx brother - that's why we do it !!!
Well stated.

Did you find the motorcycle?
I love BCM and it is all I buy and recommend. This guy truly accomplished the American dream. Thanks for posting.
What a GREAT American! Cheers to Paul and his company.
I've always liked BCM Rifles but after watching this i like them even more

Mr2ndAmendment what unit were you with that allowed you to take a personal firearm?
ibeam06 he said he took a bolt carrier group. I don't think there are any units, certainly no regular units, that allow personal firearms in theater

I like how he doesn’t embellish his military service
Mr Paul! Bravo company is awesome! I have ordered stuff many many times!. Always satisfied 🇺🇸🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
just bought a 16'upper in 5.56 with your BCG and i have to say I am beyond satisfied with my purchase. ..I will never buy an other brand...the price and quality is perfect!

Paul and Larry, two Titans in the industry
Amazing weapons, high quality and affordable.
BCM makes fantastic stuff. Incredibly fast shipping, top notch customer service. They have me for life.

Impressive interview! Love the CR’s in the background too!
Great video, Larry.....thanks. I'm a huge fan of BCM. It was good to see the face behind the name.
Great video! Paul has damn good taste in guns, cars, and bikes.
The samurai and his blacksmith.
Those burnout marks are still there.
Outstanding! Two humble and real leaders in the industry, its kind of ironic how guys who love guns usually love hot rods and bikes, love it!
This is the third vid watched today... love this stuff, thanks Larry.
Totally badass!!!!!!!! Waiting for my upper right now!!! Can’t wait!!!!! 101st airborne all the way!
Great Interview!! Love seeing the owners involved in their business!! I do not posses a BCM rifle or assessors, but I am seriously happy for the caliber of quality from BCM of those I know who own them. Well Done!! Thanks!

just got my bcm upper about a year ago ive been real impressed with performance of the AR system. no problems!
He seems like a regular humble guy! Cool to see that from such a well respected name in the industry!
I'm a huge BCM fan, but dam I love this guy after looking at those classic dirt bikes. He really caused everyone else to up their game. I love my Colt 6920 but must admit my BCM stuff is nicer
Colt is great but bcm is the way
Paul seems like a cool dude. Bravo to him and his.

Great interview Larry! Paul is the man! I love my BCM's
Great guy. Great company. Great products.
This is a great video !
Love my bcm. Have the eag model. Kind of wished I'd have waited for the kmr but totally happy with the eag model. Awesome vid and interview. Thank you.
my BCM will always be a part of my elite collection
This dude... BEST damn rifle on earth. He has risen above Daniel Defense in many aspects. I bet he never guessed he would be THEE TOP. Great American and great products!
Even more respect for Paul learning he is a motor head & has a shop at the facility for the employees.

Saving up for a Recce 16/18 right now and cannot wait.
I came for the CR's but love the bcm parts I've used on builds

awesome...glad to see this kind of story
Very interesting so thanks for posting. Frankly, I haven't touched an AR/M16 since my first enlistment in the early 70s'. Fast forward to modern day with all that's happening on the news, I decided to buy an AR. Nope, I sure as hell didn't see that coming.
Semper Fi.. Thanks for the vid n sharing!!!
small but impressive group of ppl. truly love the bcm handle . feels like it should be on a gun

Great interview other CEO's could learn from him.
Nice ..thanks dude..for the product..not to expensive and very good quality thank you.

Great Interview Larry!
Those CRs from the 80s are beautiful.
Sold most of my ar collection switching out to BCM rifles I absolutely love them.
Great video..thanks Semper fi..
BCM is in my home state! And dude likes Pontiac muscle, I need a BCM now more than ever
That is one cool dude, hope I get to meet him one day...
Great interview, it´s good to know why people do what they do and that they allways want the best :D
Thanks :)
Love BCM products. I do not care if you served for 4 years or 20 years. Still a hero in my book!
I'm a big bcm fan, nothing beats reliability/comfort in an AR your going to hump all day with. I'd love to work there.
That's what I love about mine, even though it's a Colt hybrid. I also have a Daniel Defense, but honestly I've ran into too many issues with the rail coming loose. (even after loc-tite-ing it.)
Love the manufacturer interviews!!! any chance for Marty Daniel interview?? huge fan of BCM and DD.
I keep looking at that beautiful cr250 behind Larry
Ive got their MCMR 15" handguard and 12 of their factory magazines. Solid quality at a reasonable price for that quality.
BCM-awesome products. Keep them coming. I'm a huge fan. Be safe
I love you Paul, your 11.5" is awesome!!!
I'd rephrase.
BCM and Daniel Defense are two of my favorites.
What a cool guy, love BCM!
Awesome! Cant wait to see what BCM comes out with next. Maybe a uni-lug bolt and propriatary barrel retro fit for AR's?
I lived anywhere close I would apply for BCM I’m a Journeyman Ironworker am also a steel worker and certified motor cycle mechanic oh yeah and I build corvettes on the side lol I own a C5 and a C7. I would work for BCM in a heartbeat
Were I do most of my shopping, more then half my parts on my M4 came from Bravo CO.
Paul is a great guy.
BCM products are awesome. All my ARs have BCM Gunfighter charging handles. Everything else is just a copy. Many other items as well and I recommend them to anyone. Charlie Mike
Great work, Larry! Now how about an ETA on the BFH ELW fluted barrels :)
the guy has a '79-81 Trans am and motorcycles.....how can you not like him???
Great interview
I did not expect him to sound like that by just looking at him
Since 2008 i been Buying BCM parts and rifles never had one part fail thx BCM
BCM is a good company and makes quality items.
It gets no better than BCM. I would trust my life to any bcm product out there!
Great video as always, Larry. Paul said that he started his company in 2003 reselling AR-related stuff. What was that stuff exactly and who was the manufacturer?
that keymod hand stop though!
Seems like an awesome place to work at.
anybody know where I can get one of those bcm polo shirts ?
Here I was thought I was the only one.. "A polo? Hey I only saw T-shirts and hats on their site.."
would love to have a BCM product but they don't have any ability to closely match the demand. I've been on the market for one for over 2 years and always sold out
