This guy really impressed me. Very thoughtful, very grounded, very measured way of speaking and articulating himself. The kind of guy who could snatch the life right out of you in a heartbeat if he wanted to but whose manner would immediately put you at ease if you were in his company. Glad to hear he fought his demons and won. Respect from the UK, Delta is no joke.
TakeThe RedPill That was a great comment I enjoyed reading it, I know he read it and enjoyed it as much as I did. This guy pretty much went as farrrrrrrr as possible in the American Special Forces game. He is an amazing piece of humanity. In all of these American Gunfighter videos I think this is absolutely the best due to him wanting to help his fellow veterans with something else beside more guns and more training. Great Stuff I liked them all, but this guy is just amazing! This is what being an American is about a lot of us in America don't remember what it is to be an American and just take it for granted nowadays and it makes me sick!
TakeThe RedPill that's what you find with top tier warriors, they're basically geniuses most of the time, not the meathead bodybuilders from the movies

This video was from 7 years ago and I am so disturbed that it took 7 years for me to discover it on RUclips. I was never in the military but served over 30 years in Law Enforcement in one of the most dangerous cities in America. Tom Spooner has garnered my admiration and RESPECT for what he has/is doing for the WORLD, NOT just his community. His work expands outward to areas that are not recognized or talked about. God Bless you my brother and all of our war fighters here and abroad. Thank you for serving!
His sequence is 82nd, then SF, then Delta. Most Delta guys come out of the 75th Rangers Regiment, that another sequence you can follow. Airborne, Ranger, SF, Delta.
Gill Miller yea no. He never said Ranger. Not all of 1st group is Rangers. 1st SFOD is comprised of Rangers, Marines, Navy, and even some 82nd who finally get their shit together.
@@mikethorson4031 Yeah, he never said Ranger, but there at 2:27 he's pictured with a Ranger tab. Only a guy who made it to Delta would leave Ranger school out of this personal story. Awesome.
Thats bc not too many is ready to come out just yet....and more of them are either in the military or contraxtors conus or oconus...not everyone wants a spotlight...
Tom Spooner is an Elite Modern Warrior. Thanks BCM for making these videos! It says a lot about the type of Company BCM is.... They make the top Carbines on the market IMO.
Several attached pages for sure......The yeoman was probably in disbelief ! These top tier guys could be Surgeons or CEO'S of major corporations. Instead they chose to keep us safe at night while we sleep. God bless all our Military especially Special Forces. USN 89-95
Absolutely incredible. Overcoming such odds and turning it into something beautiful and positive for others who are effected the same way. To say it is commendable is no where near enough. Thank you for such a great video.
This is the kind of person I'd like to instruct me if I could choose anyone. He seems extremely calm, well articulated and thoughtful while still having that tier one background.
Inspirational. What an incredible human being. Not only being able to get over his demons, but being humble enough to realise that they appears WITH the entire support network intact and understanding others are not so lucky. Then having the foresight and good will to help others less fortunate to reduce that 22.Incredible.
That’s probably by far the best explanation of the military experience and the good and down sides to being a warrior. Also being truthful with your self and admitting doubts but, hunkering down and chop away at those doubts. I see this has been made 6 years ago I hope this great individual is still the same in mentality but graced with even more wisdom. Thank you for your experiences and willingness to share that with us the people. At times we are not worthy but thank you again for sharing those gems 💎.
you can see that he was a great Special Forces Operator /Instructor....intelligent....and hey made it 10 yrs with Delta.....A Great soldier and great American
2nd video in as many days from BCM that I've seen, I am behind you guys 100% as a brand based off of who you endorse. I've never used any of your products before but when I am able to invest in an AR I will undoubtedly go to you guys. Cheers
Thank you for your service Tom but just as importantly I want to thank the Spooner family for their sacrifice. Thank you for all of the holidays away from Tom, thank you for enduring all of the heartache and thank you for being there for him when he needed you the most. Our nation is free because of men like Tom and the thousands more like him who never came home. Thank you to all the vets; may God bless you. #22is22toomany
I've watched this video many times and it never gets old. I regret having never joined the military and I appreciate the brotherhood that is formed through service to your Country and your fellow brothers and sisters in combat. When I think of the level of expertise and combat effectiveness that Tom has reached (and men like him), it makes me sleep very securely at night knowing that they are out there protecting all of us. I can't imagine being such a gifted warrior and then recognize that you are struggling, despite your support network, and make it through. Then to realize that, through your own experience, you have a gift of being able to mentor others through their struggles, is something that speaks to the character of the man. Maybe some day I will get to shake his hand and say thank you. To those of you on this thread that have served or are serving, know that I'm grateful for your service.
Thank you BCM for putting this out, and thank you Mr. Spooner for your service from the bottom of my heart. Without guys like you I wouldn't be enjoying the freedoms I have at this very moment!
Just stumbled across this and had a few minutes to kill. WOW!!! How BLESSED I am to seen this, and blessed and PROUD to have guys like this covering my civilian backside day after day. A true, old-fashioned American! Wish we could get back to his way of thinking!!
To BCM...I sincerely, hope you bring more of these stories to the forefront. I know you build guns...Damn Awesome One's too. But, this does so much for the Vets and the rest of the community. Tom said something, that stuck with me. We do things the old fashion way...The American Way....by doing it ourselves. Well said Tom. By the way, I have several excellent AR's...However, I always go for one of my 2 BCM's. Those rifles are built so well. It's a pleasure to shoot mine. And I shoot a lot. Probably 500 rounds per weekend...if not more. Respectfully, Dr. Rick S.
This guy is truly remarkable. To be able to bring honesty to that table and admit his crumbling feelings all in the honor of the others suffering just as he is, is just plain admirable. Salute to you bro!
Takes more guts to admit you need help and seek it than go through any doorway with a bad guy on the other side. This was a pleasant surprise in the gunfighter series. Never heard of Spooner before this but I wanted to say thanks, as a combat veteran.
Super badass with 10 years in the Unit during the height of GWOT. But what impresses me most is his truthfulness in the human aspect. He knew he was in deep trouble (even though with all the help and support) but being able to manage that “GAP”. He now dedicates his time to helping. Salute!
what an impressive individual on so many levels. to achieve and excel at that level in the military, for that length of time, is extraordinary. but even more impressive was tom's compassion and desire to help others. and to help others through art in a conjunction with the non-military community is just amazing and creative. great stuff and a great guy. thank you for making this documentary.
Makes one proud to be American again. With the current administration & the weakened posture of America on the global scene, guys like this make me remember why we are who we are. Thanks to not only Tom Spooner, but to each and every member of our military for putting it all on the line for this nation. United we stand. Divided we fall. We need to start remembering that.....

BTW where ever there is injustice, where ever a people are subjected to a dictator or a oppressive government we are just and right in attempting to free those people. That is our God given role as the United States of America.
That's an exceedingly dangerous and asinine perspective to have. What if Russia decided we were oppressed and decided to invade America to "free it from the oppression of a republic". Would you agree with their "God-given role"? What stupidity. And yeh, I served in the US Army Infantry, Mechanized. I believe in the men/women that serve, but I often question the motives of our government. Which is what I think you are mainly about...but to think or say America is God's tool of freedom... dude, who are you, or we, to decide what's best for other countries? That's all.

What a total badass. So calm too. You'd never know his tier background if you met him on the street.

WE ARE IN AGREEMENT!!!!
"Soldier's Heart" is probably the perfect way to describe PTSD in my mind. That phrase shouldn't go away. It should be in common vocabulary today.
TheMetalHeaD256 Amen brother. I cannot describe how I feel about that phrase, but it encompasses what I feel is accurate for these servicemen.
I agree 100%
Well a soldier's PTSD at least. A lot of people have it.
i wish bcm would make about 100 more of these little docs. i think there is only 4 or 5.
