Yeah, I noticed right away he's looking much healthier than he did a few years ago. Do you remember his "Why I'm fat" video ? I'll tell you what, it's one thing for a guy in his 20's or 30's to get into better shape, but it's a whole 'nother thing when you're Larry's age. I just looked up his age and it says he was born in 1947 ? That can't be right. I don't think he's 72 years old is he ? If so I'm even more impressed. I though he was around my age, give or take a few years...I'm 59 years old.
Ha.. I have a BCM BFH ELW upper on a PSA lower.. with a geissele trigger & BCM lower parts kit BCM BCG.. its close to a recce.. but has a different roll mark..
Yeah, the quality control o my BCM that literally could not, would not seat a full 30 round mag, no matter what mag I tried was amazing quality control. Oh and if I locked the bolt back and put a full 30 round mag in and loaded the chamber, it would malfunction EVERYTIME. oh and the upper and lower fitment was disgustingly loose, it would not cycle steel cased ammo at all whatsoever, and it had 5 malfunctions with quality brass cased ammo in the first 100 rounds other than the malfunctions already mentioned. I’ve owned V7 weapons, DD, LWRCI, DPMS And Barnes. No issues with any of them. But that brand new BCM RECCE 14 ELW for $1500.00 after tax was the biggest piece of trash I’ve ever seen. And that’s not all, I called BCM numerous times during business hours only to find out on Internet forums they rarely ever answer their phone for customers and they force an email. I’ve had no problem contacting many great American gun manufacturers by phone at all whatsoever. Than BCM tells me all those issues are likely because I put a BAD lever on it, it didn’t know weather to laugh or cry, anyone who knows anything about these rifles knows a BAD lever won’t do that. They refused a return unless I took the bad lever off, went to the range and waste my time and money And test it out. Which I did and to which all problems persisted.. DUH! I’ve written them off, and the fan boy who started this thread that was stroked In his pants by Larry vickers who was literally paid to do this promotion can suck it, fan boys of AR15’s suck if you ask me, there are so many damn good ones on the market, why would you recommend just one brand? BCM has done the most marketing and paying off of guntubers by a long shot, some of the biggest guntubers around have been in their pockets, look at MAC, in 5 years he’s done only 2 AR15 reviews (sig and colt) and he shit talked both of them the entire time and clearly steered people away from the,. but he’s done more than 10 on BCM and wears a damn BCM hat in half his videos.. AND he’s the highest paid guntuber via patreon and gets requests to review brands of Americas favorite rifle BUT HE NEVER DOES. I saw his patreon list a year ago or so and estimated he easily makes ATleast $20,000 a month from patreon, now he took away the count of patreon so people can’t see that. And he still says he needs more money and his patreon goals are not reached... guess what, they’ll never be reached with this guy. He will take all he can get. And it’s thanks to blind fan boys like you.
Brian White CWI certs are good, but they don’t do TOO much for you REALLY. Some companies that don’t have their own QC department and Level III require it, but MOST companies, atleast in the South, either have their own Lvl. III or they hire out a companies Lvl. Absolutely incredible and fascinating precision... BCM’s from here on out for life! I’d like to request a BCM made MCMR AR 10. I’ll be on them like white on rice!!
I have to give big kudos to BCM. I've used many BCM components in my builds and have had only one issue with a BCM part. When I informed them they immediately offered to take it back on their dime and fix it. Since it was easy fix (replacing a faulty ejector roll pin) I fixed it myself. That bolt and carrier is currently in my MK 12 build and has been 100 percent reliable in matches and training sessions.
Very impressed with the quality inspection systems that BCM uses. As a quality engineer in precision machined parts, I understand how hard it is to inspect to those tolerances and do 100% on parts in a production environment. After seeing this, I will be making my next AR a BCM.
From what I’m hearing recently (nov 2021), their barrels are showing early cracking in the bore and headspace issues. Makes sense that their barrels have been out of stock for a very long time.
I got a barrel last year from BCM that somehow missed their QC department. They set me a new barrel pronto, that was top notch like the ones I received years ago. BCM is still my go to for barrels, bcg's and other assorted parts.
I myself was a machinist for Honeywell with super tight tolerances for weapon systems. This video will secure me buying BCM BCG for all my future builds and current one. Great good BCM!!!

This is why we love bcm!
Looking good Larry!
Great video. Respect for this boss.
Thanks for the video LAV.
I'm not surprised. The USMC instills attention to detail, particulary where their rifles are concerned. I saw USMC Recon as an Amphib Sailor in the 1990s hosting the 26 MEU in the Gator Navy. They were professionals.
Looking good, Larry!
Cool video. I didn't even recognize Larry for a minute
My BCM rifle is hands down the best firearm I've ever owned. I trust my life with that rifle.
Quality questions are: What is the rejection rate average, how much rework is done vs scrap. Love the air gauges.
Very informative, thanks lads.
Its funny, I was about 5 minutes away from there today. I do love everything I have bought from BCM, having said that I do own more than just them
Why will my Midwest Industries Receiver Rod tool not fully seat into my BCM upper? Does that mean the barrel extension is clocked?
I love this kind of stuff.
Outstanding.
My favorite AR parts company. The only bolt assemblies i buy now are BCM. I might buy some other parts elsewhere but that may be Geisselle or another high end parts group. Larry is lookin good....I remember the “why I’m fat” video. I hope he isnt doing the Cross Fit routine, he’s already had that. His body is beat up enough....A kinder gentler approach at his age will work just as well......
Yep, Why BCM is one of my TOP CHOICES for AR
If I had a beer every time Vickers said, "good deal", I would be as drunk as Mike @ SOLGW!
So if I were to buy a blem bcg from them, does that mean it didn’t last one of those inspections shown in video ? And if that is the case could it be a risk running them ?
