I would be absolutely nervous as well.. Great Job covering all the important points as best as possible, along with actually getting hands on with the right composure to not get in the way of the mechanics. Appreciate the mechanics' patience as well. Wish I get a chance like this. Well done!
You did notice how big that factory is and how many parts were pre assembled, trust me kid it's not a two man show many experts contributed to building that bike
Really enjoyed this, its a whole new level from my bike maintenance videos! Looking forward to moto GP this year, hope I get to see a bike up close in Silverstone!
I have never seen any good video about Super sport bike buildings like this video. Good job guys. From the MC, Cameramen to the two mechanics. I love this type of making bike video. Please making more of it. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this wonderful video. Don't listen to all the bad comments about Gray, he did a pretty good job! Italian is my motherlanguage and I was glad he put an effort on pronouncing the mechanics' names correctly. I prefer him (humble, respectful and a little bit scared) as a host than any other arrogant "I know everything" and disrispectful one. Well done!
I'm not a biker, so my interest is purely an appreciation of the art and mechanical engineering. It had never really occurred to me before, but just like a lot of car racing series, the race machine bears little resemblance to its road-going cousin. It's impressive to see just how bespoke for racing these machines are. It seems there's very little carry-over between road and race.
+Urban Chaos 2.0 They wont do that, its a huge secret when it comes to the details of how everything works, if they put out all their information where everyone can see it, the other teams, the competition, will be able to implement or improve on their design and get ahead of them so Aprilla would lose whatever edge they have. Notice when they were putting in the air box he said they couldn't film what it looks like from above, because they dont want to reveal anything to the public. Same in any racing event... well the more professional racing events anyway. Seems silly because the bikes are so close in performance, but anything to get ahead
+-Project Xfire- It's not silly because when the bikes do perform so closely that when you research and can make a change within the rules that gives you even a minuscule increase in performance it gives you a genuine edge. 0.01 of a second a lap still makes up for 0.4s in a 40 lap race. Doesn't sound like much ? Remember those races where there has been 0.2s between 1st and 2nd place ? the team with the competitive advantage won out.
I love working with italians, they are like best friends to you, even when you don't know them. A funny joke here and there, but when it's working time, they really put in the full power. The Italians helped us to build our land, Im from swiss. :)
Most interesting, for me? The electric/sensor/plumbing with all the plugs/quick connects. That is slick as hell. I thought I was ready for racing when I used Dzus fasteners on my bodywork! The frame bolts all look reduced in size and special machined, too. They can flip out any component of the cycle in minutes. Shape and size of the fuel tank was new to me!
@old man strength They do that a lot in Europe and Japan, even keep them rideable. They never really get neglected since they are so loved, so restore in the traditional sense doesn't happen much.
@old man strength Just that playlist I just posted. Most of the GP bike owners aren't interested in making yt videos, I guess they don't want a lot of attention on them. I'd worry about theft myself.
I wonder if after he's gone that they didn't tear it all back apart and reassemble it to make sure he didn't pooch it up somehow. His screwdriver prowess alone starting at 8:55 scares the hell out of me.
this is surprising me. some said to me, to position intake to the front was difficult, as it can mess with exhaust, radiator and tank. but it change position with fuel tank, and fuel tank should put in the center. great video, thank you.
pensavo che il codone fosse una delle ultime parti da montare e invece c'è pure il foro per il perno dell ammortizzatore. che strano. video davvero ben fatto, alla fine è lo stesso che faccio io sulle moto, ma molto più costoso :)
Everytime he says: You guys the bike is almost pre assembled! The mechanics probably got aggravated every time he said that. In the mechanic head it’s like he taking away from what they put together
What is the difference between the steering damper being attached to the side of the frame vs the ones you see attached between the tank and forks? Is the side attached one more powerful due to being mounted further back on the bike and to the side giving more leverage therefore being able to apply more force? Most bikes riding on the street have top mounted ones, ive seen, and here in moto gp theyre side mounted?? Why?
awesome stuff, the placement of the fuel tank is just mind blowing

Thank you for that great video! That's exactly what I love about MotoGP - it's so transparent, it's so about the people.
full of courtesy when directing the cameraman .... I am amazed by your attitude...keep it up Mr Host ...Salute..
Tocco sporting a Rolex Sub while working on the bike. Gotta hand it to the Italians: style first, every time 😂👍🏻
They've earned their success. Respect
😉
Gotta know what time it is..😂😂
Been watching the clock in the background, they started around 11:05 and finished it at 13:05 :)
Worth noticing!
2 hrs to complete assemble the big ass bike , thats pretty awesome
i think they can make it in less than 1 hours
Probably not the same day
The bike was pre assembled
I take 2 hours with a rusted bolt haha
Nice insight, and a great 20 minute commercial for Bike-lift too!

awesome, never knew that they are sitting on the tank.
It's all about center and lower the weight as much as possible.

Beautiful machine, beautiful pieces !!! Thank you very much.
The mechanics were very patient with their guests, great work, great video
that fuel tank, my whole life was a lie

That for safety purposes
It's for size and weight displacement.
