Aside from being the rider, this has to be one of the coolest jobs in the world. True dream job
Agreed
This was excellent. Thanks for posting. I really enjoy insights from everyone on these elite teams.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it 😃
Mechanics that keep our beloved two wheel machine running happy, we salute you!
I love to see the lives of people behind the scene. Thanks for this kind of video. Awesome.!!
Tremendous insight. It really puts the other side in perspective. When we see a rider crash out on lap 1 of a race, you can appreciate how it must be a technicians worst nightmare after half a week of preparation and fine tuning setup.
Really cool to hear from the mechanics that keep the beasts going
Great work guys. If you could just pop round my garage and fettle my R1, that'd be great❤
Unreal how quickly they can do it, isn't it? Get the kettle on and we'll send them round 😉
@@yamaharacing😂😂 You've got a deal! I may be able to rustle up some custard creams too😅
Got any Bourbons?@@LeeTillbury
@@yamaharacing😂😂😂
videos like this are just insane... please more of them
We'll do our best! What would you like to see next?
Yes yes yes! More please!!! What a treat!
@@yamaharacinga video of building a new bike in the workshop would be very interesting.
@@yamaharacing a day in the life of technician, what fuels them to persue this job, what projects do they work on outside of the sbk life etc...
I love this! I would like to see more!
Love these behind the scenes videos:)
At the track right now, and somehow our pitts dont look like that… cant figure out what the problem is lmao
Very cool insight! thanks Yamaha
Grandes profissionais! Verdadeiros mestres! 🇧🇷
After watching a high side crash happen directly in front of me and seeing how broke up the bike was to then be limped back to the pits and 15-20mins later back out on the track like nothing ever happened speaks volumes as to the set of skills y'all have knowing how to build these bikes inside and out!
Even after years we're still impressed!
Amazing… just amazing
Top! Thank you!!
Rarely do we see things from mechanics perspective, so thanks.
Id like to see more behind the scene stuff please. Thank you. Very interesting .
You're welcome! ☺. What type of behind the scenes content would you like to see?
@yamaharacing I like listening to mechanics. Suspension people. Tyre crews. The hospitality set up. The data guys. Everything that we don't get to see so much. Anything behind the scenes. Thank you very much.
Super interesting video.
I love to see this side of the garage and feel like modern motorsport could see a real resurgence in viewership if they made all of this part of "the show"
Racing doesn't start and finish with the riders, there are a whole host of people working flat out behind the scenes to get the riders on track aboard a competitive bike. We will be showing more of these people in future content, as they truly are the engine room of our racing projects.
I concur. A vlog or series just on the mechanics and what they do (maybe allá wheeler dealers or more of a reality television kind of deal) would be amazing.
Cool do a toolbox tour!
What a great video. Thank you for posting this. I know that working for a race team is very challenging and requires a lot of sacrifice and hard work but I think this is still one of the best jobs in the world.
Thanks for watching! Very true; not an easy job but a great one for those able to do it! 😃
As an Aussie, great to see Andrew Pitt in there in the doing the biz as crew chief.
Excellent I was a decent heavy truck technician with a passion for motorcycles would have loved to have a go at doing what those guys do hats of fellas ❤
Chances are they'd like to have a go at the heavy trucks too! Fair play!
Thanks
Brilliant thanks Yamaha, more like this please 👍
Cheers for watching! What do you wanna see next?
@@yamaharacing thinking maybe pit set up + strip down, not too time lapsed + talked through ?
Engine swaps maybe?
Tyre talk with Pirelli?
Factory/ European base walk round with staff ?
Tool's needed ?
Toprak / Johnny Rea talks (if Johnny signs with you lol)
More of regular staff interviews of how they got into racing + what they do now ?
Hopefully these will help, and i any fan like myself would thoroughly enjoy all type's of content, seeing as Wsb has been more entertaining than Motop for some year's now.
Thanks for your reply Yamaha 👍
@@yamaharacing high level costs and funding.
Debe ser el trabajo mas genial del mundo poder estar en el box de yamaha
Looks glamorous, but that is a tough but fulfilling life if you are lucky enough to get a shot.
Yamaha e toda equipe tão de parabéns são campeões com pilotos da categoria!
Obrigado! 😊
Love you guys ,,,,,
The feeling is mutual! ☺
There work ethic is outstanding that’s why they have won WSBK
Excellent video, my local WSB team jn Dorset UK.
Definitely something to be proud of down in delightful Dorset!
Maybe yamaha racing would open academy program for mechanic / engineer for global?
Great insight id like to see a full weekend from truck to track ,question for the technician nobody' mention tyre pressure setting wet dry hot cold
Blast from the past. I know russ joiner from Dorset 😂😂 great mechanic
Great video, i have 2 questions... do you have seperate torque wrenches for each bolt etc, or do you have the values all memorised to change the same one.. and secondly... do the riders say sorry and make the tea/sandwiches/get beers when they wreck a bike and you guys need to work a double shift to rebuild the bike???
Lmao. All excellent questions!!😆
Wish I could join the crew 😢
Awesome stuff. Curious if you guys ever have time or interest to ride yourselves?
We know that Russ enjoys riding off-road close to the team HQ. And most of the racing department at Yamaha are obsessed with two wheels in one form or another :)
What do they do between race weekends? It doesn't seem like car racing where people work on the cars every day
They go home. The bikes spend most of the season in the race trucks, only returning to the team workshop twice a year. All the work on the bikes over the course of the season is done in the pit box at the track.
Thank you so much @@yamaharacing
What is bhp in wsbk r1 ?
200
@@usmana9731😂
± 230 bhp
More than 220BHP 😉
Guy looks like Jeff bezos
Can Jeff Bezos rebuild an R1 in 25 mins though?
Yamaha is very quiet about tire puncture
I have a question. I have a 2019 r6 and it’s vibrating on the handlebars and foot pegs as well.
I did a test
1 first gear 60 miles per hour, second 60 miles per hour all the way to 6 gear. The higher the RPMS the more vibration I felt the lower the RPMS the less I feel. All that while keeping it at 60 miles per hour. Any guess on what this issue could be? Thank you 🙏🏻
Its not real. I didnt see a single roll of duct tape!
Fun fact: it's called 'Jesus tape' in Finland due to its ability to fix everything!
@@yamaharacing Perfect! I'll be sure to refer to it by its proper name from now on.
