I seriously can't believe how fast robot vacuums are advancing! Very excited about these new flagships from Roborock. Check them out here: Roborock CES 2025: bit.ly/4jg6OpV Saros 10: bit.ly/4jcIxRN Saros 10R: bit.ly/3PARC9j F25: bit.ly/427WAlA
Oh wow. If that arm will support matter, so that I'll be able to tell the robot to pick something up and clean through Home Assistant, that'd be huge. I just hope the matter support is more then just "start/stop cleaning", but would allow for more precise control
Alright, how long until the vacuum robot uses its built-in arm to grab a gun and accidentally 'clean up' more than just the floor? We're playing with fire here.😂
The mop brushes on the 10R look nice, but I'm really afraid to see the price on it. We have the S7 and it has worked pretty good for a few years now. Just hoping to not to take out a bank loan to buy one!
Great video! I am confused though, are the Saros 10 and 10R replacing the S8 MaxV Ultra? If they are the next iteration, what is the difference between the 10 and the 10R?
Thanks! The Saros 10 has LiDAR with the RetractSense and the mop pad. The Saros 10R has StarSight (solid state LiDAR) and the spinning mops. There are some other minor differences but essentially that's the main difference.
I think they should remove the Vacuum / Mop and this should be paired with a Normal Bin (smart) that it can take rubbish to the bin for you and, take clothes into the dirty washing pile and have a not sure pile. Maybe it could help the Robot Vac if it get stuck and needs help
There's a lot of issues that are getting worked out with Matter and some good announcements just got made at CES. There's a really great article explaining it www.theverge.com/2025/1/6/24336570/apple-google-samsung-accept-matter-certification I'm not defending Roborock in any way but hopefully this helps speed things up.
I'm not sure how low clearance that is but all these vacuums are 7.98 cm. They are shorter than the QRevo Slim which could easily fit under the cabinets in my living room.
This might actually be THE robot to get! I've always wanted something that can not only avoid but pickup random things like kids toys and socks! I'm excited!

Unfortunately I still advise people to stay away from Roborock due to their horrible customer service. I still have marks on my walls and they refused to reimburse me for repairs or even help prevent it from happening from the future. I don’t even own any crazy layout of a house.

Hope there is a goose mode where it hisses at you and chases you, in case someone breaks into your house
Watch out Mr Socky, Roborock is coming for you 🤣
@paulhibbert
@brianr.8888 oh no, you've summoned him, I can hear him approaching "HOME ASSISTANT HOME ASSISTANT HOME ASSISTANT"
Once you said you could control the arm of the robot.. I know there are going to be some good jokes in that video. Love it!
Haha thanks Brent!
Hopefully it knows the difference between a sock and dog or cat poop lol. I love Roborock
If you can't use it local only, it definitely doesn't check all the boxes.
Cloud only and with camera? Hard pass for me.
@fibergran9 Exactly!

It probably takes 10 min a sock
50 min a shirt
Can't wait to see the arm grabbing it while the part is under the robot
Tbh if I'm out of the house and working for over 8 hours, I don't care if the robot even takes one hour lol

What is the pricing though???
Probably 2-3 grand
USD
@Random_dud31 not for this Canadian

Right - we need a Roborock genealogy chart, peppered with feature icons.

Thanks Reed.

They still haven't released Matter for their prio generation. Why would they do it for this generation?

Can these new models reach the space under kitchen cabinets?

Where is MaxV?
The Saros 10 is the new flagship for that style.
what do you think dreame x50 vs roborock 🙈
Roborock
We dont have stuff on the floor, so pretty useless
Yeah the arm on the vacuum will definitely not be for everyone but the Saros 10 and 10R are really great options.
I saw ad in the ad!
It would be nice if it picks up dog toys successfully.
Roborock consistently makes the coolest robovacs.
You can tell Roborock sponsered this video.
Why can’t they just improve the intelligence of them so they move more naturally. That’s super slow arm.
I first want to come in
Why
Why its not stated its paid commercial?

First😊 for real you can’t say I’m not
🏆
Then I call 2nd!

Why @johnnysilverhand1733
Wait you are asking Roborock to pay for the paint of your walls? Lol
Lmao marks on your walls? Boo hoo. It’s called paint and create boundaries. User error.
