Robotic arms would be amazing for those times I forget about a scheduled cleaning, and my cats have strewn their toys across all corners of the house sending me scrambling
I wasn't particularly impressed with 3i's new robots and I think it's a mistake for them to try to break into the cheaper markets by getting rid of their best innovations. I think the 3i S10 is still great, but it was not a new this year. Eureka went backwards in my opinion and instead of refining the J20's mopping system they just bailed and went back to spinning pads. As I said, Saros 10 is the replacement for the S8 lineup, Saros 10R is replacing QRevo, and Saros Z70 is completely different altogether. I've heard that Mova is a sister company of Dreame from a few people, but to me it doesn't make sense. The Mova S20 (amzn.to/4gW2Kts) for example has Roborock DuoRoller system and VibraRise mop with the base station from the Dreame L10S Ultra. Even the LIDAR casing and shape on the S20 is the same as the Roborock S7 series, not like Dreame. It also wouldn't make sense for a budget sub-brand (Mova) to beat Dreame to market with the roller style mop. Something doesn't smell right.
@@TheHookUp yeah i share the same sentiment on 3i. For eureka, their staff said that the J20 mopping had lots of issues and complaints, that's why they changed away that. I actually spoke to Roborock and Dreame staff in Chinese over at CES to ensure no miscomm. The entire Saros product line is going to be their flagship, the 'S' on Saros refers to the S7/S8 MaxV. Mova and dreame are sister companies, this info is publicly shared, they didn't try to hide. Both do wet dry vacuum and hair care products too. They acknowledged that there will be internal competition, personally i don't find it make a lot of sense too, but well, maybe they just want to try and take more market share. Unfortunately, both roborock and dreame are not looking at the roller style mop at the moment, they are focusing on the robotic arm
Yeah, I know the J20 was a mess, I just think it would have been smarter to fix the issues than abandon the only thing that made it unique. When you say "The entire Saros line is their flagship" I agree, and I think they did that to eliminate the sentiment that QRevo was their budget lineup (when it has turned out to be their best product). I just think it's unfortunate that it becomes much harder for a consumer to differentiate what type of robot they are buying when "Saros" could mean many different things based on small model number changes (Z vs R vs no lettering). I personally think they should have called the Saros 10 the Saros 10D since D resembles the Vibrarise mop and they called it the Z to resemble the shape of the robotic arm. I also asked Mova (not in Chinese) if they were related to any other robotic vacuum brand at CES and they told me "No, we are our own company, not related to another brand".
I bought a Mova P10 Pro Ultra at Christmas. Its basically a Dreame X40 ultra. Its been so great that i ordered a Mova S10 which i have found is dreame D10. I think Mova a dreame sub brand.
i'd be interested in the Switchbot as a hobby robot platform IF and only IF they expose the API used to talk with the robot and it can be done completely locally.
WOW! Can't wait to see how these innovations impact the market. 😎 If you ever need help with creating engaging content around these products, I’d love to collaborate! Keep up the great work, and looking forward to more updates!
I got the Eufy S1 Pro because it washes the mop as it cleans, so there is no smudging. Can't see the purpose of a mop that is dirty and spreads it around
@@TheHookUp I'm sorry but checking those models shows that they have to go back to station and clean/scrub the mops after certain area being cleaned. The Eufy does it on the go by scraping the back part of the mop roller while being sprayed with clean water. The difference is big :)
Yes, Roborock Q5 Max is my top pick: amzn.to/3Wlvpjr or Dreame D10 Plus: amzn.to/4gKWzZf Reviewed in this video: ruclips.net/video/kF1y2rLqAGM/видео.html

Yes and no. The thing is that a flagship robot from 2019 was around $600-800 and had all the same features as a $200-250 robot does today. It's just that as new features get added the cost goes up.
0:50. He was extremely carefully to let the rollers grab the demonstration hair in the middle and not at the ends. The system may work well, but they are trying to bias the demonstration towards success ;). I still find all of this incredible as I have no understanding of why, or how, consumers can pay $1600 for a vacuum cleaner that probably requires ownership of a manual vacuum as well.
A robotic arm just for picking up small items looks useless to me. My Dreame L40 runs 4 times a week. If I forget something it just gets around it. A robotic arm for this only isn't worth the extra costs, imho...
My little one is 12 now, but we've had robotic vacuums running around since she was 3 or 4, and she has always understood that anything left on the floor before bedtime is in danger of being eaten by the vacuum. As a result she does a great job keeping the floors clean.
Great summary. Any plans for a video on CES smart locks or other smart home solutions? Looks like you enjoyed the HA get-together.
They’re growing arms and legs ahhhhhh
It's gonna be great to see the reviews of each product in details.
Robotic arms would be amazing for those times I forget about a scheduled cleaning, and my cats have strewn their toys across all corners of the house sending me scrambling
Can’t wait for your reviews!
Thanks Rob.
I'll have to show this to my wife later!
Love it, thanks
good summary but you missed out the 3i and Eureka. The Saros naming is a replacement of the S8 MaxV series, and Mova-Dreame are sister companies

Any local robot vacuum would be cool. As far as I know, there aren't any yet.
I do think that's on the agenda.
Love your coverage, and I hope you don't feel like you need to be just the vacuum guy. I'd watch any of your CES tech coverage!
Lots of other CES coverage, I just like to divide them up by category.
I think you should start lookimg to Robot Mowers too 👀
Coming in 2025.

Lots of other companies have adopted that mop style now (Eufy, Switchbot, Narwal, 3i, Ecovacs, Mova, etc). I agree that it is the best mop type.
@@TheHookUp I meant to say washes as it cleans not going back to station to wash it. The point is not to accumulate dirt at all

@Tonyfix switchbot s10, narwal flow, ecovacs x8 omni, mova p50, 3i S10. They are in the video you are commenting on.
Hello. Who can help me find the best projector solution for a home cinema setup with a 100" projection at a distance of 4.8 meters?
The arm would be useful for me
It doesn't work for that...
Any advice on a mopless vacuum for everyday pet free use that performs well for under 300?
ps. Love the channel!

Mova is a sub-brand of Dreame and is considered a more budget friendly option from Dreame.

I just want a robot vacuum that can climb stairs... so sad that the only one that was close to working isn't moving forward
gosh my at the time top of the line robot vaccum where both under 800€, the price of those this day is crazy ! worst than phone !

I'll be sure to test all of them in suboptimal conditions, don't worry.
yeah well the robot that cleans shelves, couches, high surfaces wasnt invented yet so quite dumb argument to not buy a 1k+ robot.

And where is iRobot? They are already far behind the competition, and now, after CES, they are starting to be obsolete.
iRobot hasn't been to CES in a long time. I think 2015 might have been their last time.
I have a roomba 980 and LOVE IT
they are all junk. next.
