I got to meet you at CES this year! Thank you for the picture! And I thought I was going crazy in the Samsung booth this year because I didn't see anything new from last year. I'm glad you commented on it.
As a frequent camper (full, tent camping, or the occasional hammock camping) the cooler and umbrella from Anker would be nice. I frequently have walkie-talkies and everything that I always have to make sure are charged (or bring extra batteries, which isn't bad) but being able to take a couple sodas and everything in a cooler that I know would keep them cool and my other devices charged would be nice. And I bring an umbrella now anyway, so it wouldn't be a hassle to bring that. But I will wait until they are cheaper.
I think the use of the microwave as a smart screen/hub might be one of the first things in a long time that catches my attention as something that I might seek out because it seems like it could be incorporated into my daily life seamlessly. It's a far better solution than putting it on a refrigerator. Microwavea are already located at a generally good eye level in most cases, and given that so many new homes have kitchen islands with seating, it just seems like a far more natural fit. The fact that it doubles as a way of access and content that could actually be useful in the kitchen specifically makes it even more value added especially when kitchen real estate is almost always something you never have enough of

Nothing here excites me but I am sure useful to someone. Maybe the water sensor seems cool when the price comes down. Thanks for the over view video, most appreciated.
Same, I'd get anxiety living in a house like that, not to mention being at CES for more than an hour... get me to the countryside, tech and everything automated and AI is getting overwhelming to me, I just use it for work, and then I'm done.
I had a ton of fun watching your video. Picked up some tech to keep watching for in 2025. Well done! And I have to say, your voice brings out the curious kid in me!
I don't own a yacht, but I do plan to one day again be a liveaboard, and when I do, I plan to integrate everything that I possibly can. Yacht manufacturers for years have had boat management systems, that are absolutely ripe for automation, and integration into a smart home ecosystem. Some of the possibilities that come to mind, anchor alarm that notifys you on your phone, and watch, as well as setting off an audio alarm inside the boat so if your sleeping you know your anchor is dragging. Leak detection, and bilge pump monitoring, protects you from sinking. Automated lighting. Course monitoring, have notifications if the boat has gone off the planned course on longer passages. Also with autopilot systems the potential is pretty insane, Garmin already has a smart watch which integrates with your navionics, so that you can keep an eye on the course on your wrist, imagine being able to adjust the course of your boat from bed via voice control. When I move back aboard, first thing that is being re-done, or upgrades is the power management, I want to have enough solar power stored that I never need to worry about power running out, then all lights onboard will be controllable via both switches, phones, voice control, and have automations. After that I want to be notified via my phone, and the boats onboard Soundsystem to any particular issue, water intrusion, anchor dragging, vessels approaching to close, shallow water alarm, inclement weather. You say "how many yacht owners are at ces" well more than you'd imagine, I'm imagining all of this installed on a boat that I buy used for less than 60,000. 😅 One can dream anyways. But yeah, boats should be PRIME real estate for the smart, integrated tech industry, people don't want to spend 50,000 to come down to the dock and find the boat under water. 😂
I’m curious how well the droplet works compared to the Flo by Moen. I am a plumber in the valley and am always looking for input on what to recommend and install for customers. The smart shutoff valves are very popular with the snowbirds and the leak sensors are always a good idea.
Isn't the wepower concept similar to what hue did with their kinetic remote? Not sure if it's still available. Mine didn't last that long before it stopped working and I never replaced it. Very interesting if they have improved on it.
1:16 I like the range that you can auto-unlock your door with your. Pairing with your phone and the three feet range auto-unlock is two indispensable features. 1:19 A screen that enables you to see outside from inside is also indispensable. 2:52 A tablet replacement for the glass door is impressively futuristic. All I want from microwave manufacturers right now is the ability to turn off the damn sound in the middle of the night.
