Mike Pinder, we will miss you and your wonderful music. You could make that mellotron sing. 😂 You will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
Though it's Justin Hayward on lead vocal here, Mike Pinder's work on vocals, keyboards and mastering the cumbersome Mellotron were key to the Moodies' success. Be at peace.
"Thinking is the best way to travel" - Mike Pinder
And You can fly. High as a Kite if You want to!
Dear Mike Pinder. I'm so sad to see he has passed. The Moody Blues were a favorite band of mine and Mike was the spirit of the group. An era is truly over. Now you're gazing at the planets and finding total view, Mike. God speed.
Rest In Peace, Mike Pinder. You will be missed. The Moody Blues were an extraordinary band with an unique sound.
Thanks for using Nights in White Satin for this tribute. Mike Pinder on mellotron and speaking the beautiful late Lament at the end of the song. RIP Mike Pinder
May you rest in Peace, Mike Pinder. Listen to his beautiful mellotron on this classic song.
I am glad that Sunday Morning does this sort of thing because otherwise not many would know. Some of these people would not make the evening news. Mike Pinder was a genius. I loved the music of the Moody Blues.
Pinder, wonderful voice. And of course Marisa, RIP
Terry Anderson to the reporters after being released i am going back to my wife. Goodbye
Mandisa was beautiful inside and out! RIP!
Always in the Mood for moody blues 💙 music
Thank you for including Mandisa this week.
Terry Anderson was a brave man that I respected for his courage and will. Don't really know the others.
The Moody Blues created great music with, and without, Michael Pinder.. I loved all their music, but I always loved the the albums he was on the most. That was a sound they never came close to after he left.
Dr. Susan Johnson, notable psychotherapist and creator of Emotion Focused Therapy passed on April 23rd
RIP to all.
Remembering Mike Pinder the musician is one thing, and a commendable one at that. However, it is just as important to remember ** HIS ** music. Instead of "Nights In White Satin", which is a Justin Hayward tune, the Sunday Morning folks could chosen one of these "Lost In A Lost World" (the finished version w/vocals as well as the instrumental demo), "When You're A Free Man", "Melancholy Man", "There's Gonna Be A Happening" (aka the bonus track, "Mike's Number One"), and Mike's final Moodies contribution, "One Step Into The Light".
Ride My See-Saw
Truly would like to know the age of these people that put this info together. It’s like they do a fast google & we know how correct that info is at times. Shame they don’t have a music aficionado to write these pieces! R.I.P.
@@davanmani556 A John Lodge song. A great song, but not Mike's.
Agreed. My favorite Mike song is "Thinking is the Best Way to Travel".
@@davanmani556 That's a John Lodge composition.
I believe it is Mike Pinder narrating "The Balance" - my favorite lyrics of all time.
Moody Blues forever!❤
I miss Mike and good music with The Moody Blues.
RIP 🕊️
❤❤❤
Only 47. That's awful.
I still remember how she put Simon in his place.
Mike, RIP
I can’t believe, Mandisa is dead! 😢 RIP to her and everyone else mentioned. ❤
Rest in peace.
Why not use You’ll Be in My Heart (Phil Version)?
🌐 💔😭
If Jim Carrey died he went to Limbo
Hmmm. Not sure about this so called In Memorium. Think it is a load if crap. Is this it? We have lost alot more famous people lately than this. Wonder what the time frame was suppose to be? Except for the Moody Blues guy...everyone else is african american. Where is Melanie Safka, etc.c. CBS strikes again. Ugh!
It's a weekly show.
what a dull list
Breathe deep, the gathering gloom. Watch lights fade from every room. Bedsitter people look back and lament, another day's useless energy's spent. Cold-hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colors from our sight. Red is grey and yellow, white. But we decide which is right. And which is an illusion ...
