- Wesco Harness model unboxing. Video 1 in this series was a pair of Engineers I think they lied and sent back with zero work done. Certainly not the rebuild they claimed. This video is a Harness boot made to the same specs. Video 3 will be about the 2 models, fit, overall experience, etc, etc. Video 3 of 3 in this series will discuss fit after some break-in time. They are supposed to be +1 heel but are not, the edges are beeswaxed, but they didn't beeswax the waist underneith showing b/c of half sole

I’ve seen pics of a Wesco Harness boot made in Horween Natural Essex. It looked incredible.
Harness boots definitely don't get enough love IMO. So rare anyone does'em in cool leathers.
@@cloveroak5492ya they seem to be black leather 99.99% of time sadly. That natural leather one was wild.
I'm not particularly into engineer type boots but these are really really nice.. Wesco definitely does em best.. can't believe you waited that long though and they still left things out smh
I guess I'm waiting for the follow-up vid but I'm not sure if I'm getting any harness boots in the near future, anyway.
I keep reminding myself to do that, but I've been so busy with BiB videos

well Jeff.., i wanted to follow up on my previous comment.. bought my first pair of engineers yesterday as a Birthday gift to myself hah,, black Horsehide Mr. Lou boots were in stock through an online vendor.. I couldn't pass it up.. i could have bought some Boss 7500 in brown Domaine.. starting to get too many black boots at this point hah,, but the horsehide was worth the 200 dollar upcharge.. and that Dr. Soles / Wesco sole is just too cool.. i remember you saying all engineer boots should be black... why do you feel that way?? hah,, just an aesthetic thing..? im picky on the engineer boots though in general.. mostly just like the Mr. Lou and the Lofgrens.. Clinch.. but those two are a bit pricey imo..
Did I say they should all be black? I'll have to go back and listen to myself. If you only own one pair they should be black. And they were all originally all black. And in normal wear conditions back in the day they'd all be black from coal even if they didn't start that way. And lots are worn by bikers that only wear black. So lots of reasons for black. But if I said all I misspoke. I'm about to buy 3 or 4 non-black pair, and have a another future non black pair or 2 planned.
Mwryum horsehide is incredible leather. Certainly worth the upgrade.

@@cloveroak5492 thanks for saying,, technically not until tomorrow..,, 35 but feeling 45 hah,, but yeah, you did mention this in one of the episodes.., I've been trying to pin point which one,, but haven't come up with it yet,. id rather try a brown just for variety,, but hey, horsehide.. in stock.. i'll take what i can get., I've seen alot of these Mr. Lou boots are either Horween OR Mariyam horsehide.., so I'm not 100% on the tannery they used just yet on these.., but in some Facebook comment,, the assumption is Mariyam.. like they're moving away from using Horween for them or something.. based on temper reasons apparently..
I have a high arch, personally my Firestormers fit great . More comfortable than my Patriots. The wait times are ridiculous though
