I enjoyed hearing what the different French people will be having for Christmas dinner. I also really enjoyed hearing the questions and answers in French (with subtitles of course). I'm learning French, but hearing real French people on the street speaking is so much better, and harder for me to understand, than what is provided in the class. I look forward to more videos like this.

My family is spread out across the country, having Christmas with their in-law families, so this will be a small Christmas for me. Therefore our Christmas Dinner will be light, maybe chicken with vegetables, and of course assorted items for desert. My favorite dessert is strawberry cheesecake, plus maybe a Pumpkin Pie. Happy Holidays to all 🎄🎁

That was very interesting Marie. I had no idea what French people eat for Christmas dinner and I was intrigued by some of the answers. I hope I can visit France someday during the Christmas season and maybe even celebrate a Christmas there. For my Christmas dinner I'm preparing roasted lamb, mashed garlic potatoes, and green beans. For desert I'm making a chocolate pecan pie and we'll probably have a pumpkin pie also. I hope you enjoy your time with your family and have a very Merry Christmas 🎅❄️🎄🙏🤗

Christmas Eve is our big night -- we go to my father's, and eat all afternoon -- shrimp cocktails, candies, cookies, and for dinner we have a roast of beef with potatoes and usually some grilled asparagus. Usually there's pretty hefty amounts of wine (generally more than a bottle per adult; we sleep over there so that nobody drives who shouldn't!). Then, Christmas morning, coffee and pancakes, and we drive home. At our house, for Christmas dinner, we're cooking a duck with orange sauce that I found at Aldi a couple weeks ago and has been sitting in our freezer since.

We usually do a ham and sides for Christmas. But with my mum working Christmas eve night and Christmas night, we're doing our meal of a pot roast, roasted veg, sautéed spinach, dinner rolls. As far as desserts, my mum usually has holiday goodies like fudge, ginger snaps, m&m cookies, stuff like that. By the way, I liked the idea of doing like a "person on the street interviews" like you did. Might want to consider making that part of your channel. Merci! From America.

Bonjour Marie! We usually have 3 of my step-siblings come over and make breakfast. They also bring homemade cookies. We used to go to my uncle's for dinner, but that no longer happens. So, I guess we just hang out and do whatever the rest of the day. My brother and his family come over the day after Christmas as they spend Christmas Day at home with each other. I always appreciate hearing spoken French by natives since I'm learning French, but I really struggle to understand them. It's good though, so thanx for sharing! Joyeux Noel! ~Be Blessed

    My Christmas day menu:
I make donuts from scratch that morning and we have them for breakfast before, during, or after we open presents.
We have bread, cheese, chicken liver paté, cream cheese and pepper jelly, hoghead cheese (fromage de tete), and deviled eggs to fill on as we wait for dinner.
Dinner is usually exactly like Thanksgiving meal except the meat. Mac and cheese, casseroles, bread. For meats we do 4 kinds. Beef rib roast, roast duck, roast pork, and fried turkey.

Happy Holidays Marie! We are going to have a baked ham, mashed potatoes, deep fried asparagus, a cucumber & lettuce & tomato salad (with Dijon balsamic dressing), and an assortment of cheeses, sliced meat, crackers, and bread for appetizers. For dessert I am making banana pudding, apple pie, and vanilla ice cream (with whipped cream, pecans, and chocolate toppings). I'm a pantry cook (I make salads and desserts at my job) so making the desserts (and the salad) is pretty easy, and I love making it for my family and friends.

Joyeux noël ! My family is having our dinner on Christmas day. We are having a roasted turkey with dressing (a bread-based side dish), candied sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and glazed green beans with toasted pecans.
For dessert, I made Scottish shortbread cookies, nanaimo bars (a Canadian treat), torrone, mincemeat pie (a fruit pie), and pumpkin pie. I also prepared a dark fruitcake in advanced that is soaked in cherry brandy.
Sometimes we have a cheese board with pickles and pâté, but this year I made too many sweets. I would make even more if we were having more people over!
I'm going to use the leftover turkey to make a turkey pot pie for New Year's dinner. We were supposed to travel for New Years, but our plans got cancelled.

That was quite interesting, Marie. My sister and her family are hosting Christmas for the rest of the family this year. Turkey with stuffing of course (we had ham on Thanksgiving so it'll be turkey for Christmas this year) and lamb. Broccoli and cheese casserole. Roasted garlic Brussel sprouts. Shrimp Scampi. Rice Pilaf with lemony brown-butter mushrooms. Garlic Parmesan roasted potatoes. Cheesy garlic bread. And likely a few other dishes I don't know about. For dessert there will be a bit of variety I'm told. A Dutch apple pie. Chocolate pecan pie. Peanut butter bars. French Silk pie. A chocolate mousse yule log. Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with mint frosting. And Homemade fudge. We have a rather large family so quite a few mouths to feed. 😉
