For me, a successful Christmas is remembering that we're celebrating the birth of Jesus. Along with that, spending time with friends and family and seeing the joy on the face of others when they receive a gift they truly wanted.

Successful is an interesting way to put it. The reason for the season being the birth of the Christ child wouldn't be defined that way I suppose. My favorite part of the year is from September to December. Christmas is the culmination of this period, being with family, friends and loved ones is the best part. Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ, at least for some, this goes along with family, friends and loved ones. I enjoy seeing all the decorations, going to different events that celebrate Christmas.

I agree that spending time with those we love and cherish is really the most important thing. Here in the Pennsylvania region where I live, I doubt we will have a “White” Christmas … it will be another “warm Christmas and chilly Easter “! In any case, a Merry Christmas to all !

Jesus is the reason for the season! I love being with family, watching the kids open their gifts, the great food and snacks, singing christmas carols, all of that. I live no So Cal, so not much snow, but thats ok. The thing is God so loved the world that He gave us his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not parish but have ever lasting life. Merry Christ mas!

Fun video Marie! Love this time of year. Here in northern California, where I'm living at the moment, most all of the houses are decorated for Christmas. Christmas lights wrapped around not just he house but bushes and trees as well, miniature Christmas villages, wreaths, etc. A few homeowners go all out with animatronic characters and flashing lights all synchronized to music. And relatives I rarely see during the year typically stop in for a few days. Definitely my favorite time of year.

Bonjour Marie! I really enjoyed this one (and the prior one,) so I'm looking forward to the next one. I loved the kitty in the stocking at the end, and that the stocking read: Marie Christmas (instead of Merry Christmas) lol, nice touch! Your boyfriend's English is getting so much better, bravo to him! Christmas is a very mixed bag for me. I used to look forward to it, but it's gotten tougher over the past few years to find anything special about it. My uncle (Dad's brother) was born on Christmas Day, and we have other family and friends born around Christmas, but we have had a LOT of tragedies and deaths happen around Christmas. It really hasn't been the same since my last girlfriend passed away suddenly nearly 3 years ago. It's just been...another holiday without her. Joyeux Noel! ~Be Blessed

Marie, I agree with the majority and say that family, friends and loved ones are what make Christmas and the holiday season special. It doesn't have to be a giant meal or feast to have everyone, but it doesn't hurt either. Here in the states, it can be challenging, especially if you have family members who live out of state and live hours away or in the opposite coast. Another challenge as well, is when parents are soldiers and get deployed oversees as well. It doesn't matter the size of the family, it can be like myself with 3-4 people, or it can be extended family with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Togetherness is always key, as well, as good health.

Good video. I would say it's the same everywhere, getting together with family is the most important wherever you live. This year because of covid it will be just immediate family. Some day we will all be together.

Lastly i don't think People should put to much pressure on themselves living up to other people's expections on what a perfect xmas can be, be grateful for the simple things, counting your blessings 🔔 and believing the Christmas spirit can bring out the best in 🙆
