- How to Paint a House Fast with an Airless Sprayer. We spray three coats of paint onto the new drywall ceiling, the first coat is a wallboard sealer/undercoat, and the two following coats are done in the regular ceiling flat, flat paint means there is no sheen level so it can hide imperfections much better compared to a gloss paint.
Whats so important in getting a great quality, seamless finish is to back roll every coat. It helps push the paint into the surface rather than just sitting on top and not penetrating. Back rolling is rolling with a paint roller or brushing over the paint applied by an airless sprayer to cause better penetration and adhesion. #drywall #painting #homeimprovement
Looking good.Very close to the 100k.
Thanks Paul, yeah really close now!!! Its a long time coming
I only backroll the sealer coat, and pretty much only if it's new plasterboard. Existing painted surfaces, unless they are bad, no backrolling. Definately no need on finish coats as the sealer has done it's job and you have a perfect surface.
Look's good,,
Oooh I would love to move that fast in the beginning when back rolling lol 😂😂😂
We call that All White Everything looks good my friend I've never met
what kind of brush do you use for back rolling?
I prefer the pressure fed roller for primer.
Very nice work, hows your neck at the end of the day ?
Either turn up pressure or grab a smaller tip size. Your leaving fingers everywhere
Does not matter as he is back rolling
@@phillipsarkis5889 actually it does because he's letting the fingers dry on the wall below the cornice
@@Rob-mv7oj I'll have to agree with you on that one , I usually get the person back rolling to roll them out.
What are fingers?
When the spray is uneven,
What kind of molding is that??
whic roller you use
👍👍👍
Thank you for the video, What sprayer pump do you use ? Model# and the brand name please ?
wagner pro spray 3.21
Nice lids bro. What is your method for removing sanding dust before priming?
Use microfiber pads, a velcro attachment, and an extension pole. Wipe everything down a few times.
Just curious but why would someone spray and backroll when they can just roll initially? It would seem less work with masking to just roll 2 coats. Does it leave less stipple with the spray or something?
To paint the perimeter, sometimes I just spray the perimeter and roll to minimise spray in the air
Spray gets the paint on the wall fast. Rolling evens it out and pushes it in. It is far more work and time to just roll, unless you are doing maybe just one room.
I wish you could teach the painters on our jobsite. They refuse to backroll the primer and its causing all kinds of problems
Yeah bro they have to, says in the drywall guidelines. I'm sure the plasterers want that, hides so many defects and you can make it more consistent
Do you also need to backroll on fresh Knauf MP75 plaster?
@@jorisw3617 My experience is mainly drywall, but when we painted plaster we didn't backroll, only sprayed. Exterior painting is a different animal.
May I ask why you back roll everything? I thought backroll is only for place that might need repair in the future…
why pass roll dude ?
Looks like you need a new tip there! It's leaving tails on the edge, yikes!
Thanks for the tip!
I can almost understand what you're saying to your mask
which paint is it?
