    Hi Bill, hope you're well. Awesome video as always!
    Any chance for a comprehensive video about sanding? I'm currently in the process of prepping an entire 3 bed house for painting. All of the wood elements are painted with oil based enamel and I want to convert to water based, but oh my god sanding all of the wooden elements is taking forever! Especially with the intricate trims that we have in our place. Many small groves that are hard to reach. If you have any tips that would be amazing! Maybe even tools cover/review that can help speed up the process? 😁😉
    Thanks!

    Insightful videos mate, its handy that the places you paint are always empty, i gotta cover everything before i do my ceilings 😞 ( which the wife wants done this week )

    • @billshowto
      @billshowto  26 дней назад +1

      I wish they were always empty, so much easier especially when the flooring is being replaced. Try moving most the furniture to the center of the room and cover everything . Have fun👍👍👍

    Thanks Bill, I asked for this video a few weeks ago and you’ve delivered! 👏🏼 I’ve done one small ceiling/room since (turned out ok) , but now your tips will make painting the rest of the house perfect.
    Because of your videos I’m pretty good at using a brush to “cut in” around walls. I painted the room a pale yellow, first I did undercoat then two coats of the yellow. With the brush I fanned out, but in certain lighting I can just see the difference between where I brushed and where I used the roller (used all good quality stuff). What am I doing wrong? Do I need to spend more time fanning out or am I using too much paint?
    Sometimes I wish subscribers could send in photos, I’d love to show you the work I’m doing because of all that I’ve learned from your channel. Because of you I’m very proud of my accomplishments. I’ve patched large holes in walls (due to an internal pipe leakage), ripped up carpet (the smart way), painting doors, replacing fly screens, fixed door locks and now I’m on my journey of painting the whole house. Thank you so much, you’re the best!

    Thanks Bill, great stuff. Does the roller bucket you have linked in your description fit the 460mm roller? Seems to be only 270mm. Thanks.

      The one I’m in the description is a 270. 460 also available in the same brand but may need to be sourced from another place👍

    Cheap paint, what's that Bill? I get 2 litres of the wrong colour paint so I could fix the scratches on the skirting board and 2 miserable litres from Paintspot cost me $63! 😲 Now I have to go back and see if they can actually match the colour better than their first attempt and spend another $63. Wish I had gotten a 4 litre tin and maybe I could have repainted all the skirting board but then the doors and window frames would have have matched.🤦‍♂

    • @billshowto
      @billshowto  25 дней назад

      Cheap paint is usually watered down paint that dosnt have any of the good properties to get a nice finish eg; poor coverage, hiding power, viscosity ect…
      Regarding your trim $63 is a lot for two liters of paint. If the current paint is oil based it will be near impossible to touch up even if it’s from the same original tin as it goes yellow over time. It will most likely have to be completely painted starting and ending at inconspicuous areas. Hope this helps👍
